These talks by Dr Ataie are just amazing . He’s so generous with his time and knowledge . Although a Christian I cannot but have enormous respect for him and his knowledge and generosity. I never knew as much about the history of Judaism nor even Christianity the way Dr Ataie has taught. I look everywhere for his teachings and lectures now .

the matrilineal descent to be jewish applies only to the non-kohanim (israelites and levites). the kohanim still follow the original patrilineal descent. only males can be kohanim and the father must be a kohan, irrespective of the jewish status of the mother. this is the opposite of the non-kohanim. the matrilineal descent was started and promoted after 70ce by the perushim (israelites), who were from the tribe of judah, to increase their population after the destruction of jerusalem by the romans. they also allowed conversions to the rabbinic/talmudic judaism. this led to the gradual disappearance of the tribes of Israel except for the kohanim. the latest genetic studies have shown that about 50% of the kohanim have a common ancestor who lived 3300 years ago unlike the non-kohanim. the non-kohanim do have genetic connection to Middle East but they do not have a common ancestor who lived 3300 years ago or even earlier. the kohanim are about 5% of the jewish population. the jewish people who are not kohanim do not know their tribe. even the people whose last name is levy do not have a common genetic ancestor who should be the same as the kohanim. the kohanim were part of the b'nai tzadok, who started to follow the rabbinic/talmudic judaism after 70ce. the majority of the b'nai tzadok moved to arabia, first in 185bce and again in 70ce. the bani Israel and jews of arabia during the time of the prophet were tzaddukhim/sadducees/sadduqiyya and jews from the tribe of judah who followed a variant of sadducean beliefs and additionally believed in the divinity of Ezra respectively. there were no rabbinic/talmudic jews in arabia and the quran is not addressing them when it talks about bani Israel or jews. the early muslim historians such as al-jahiz (8th century) and ibn-hazm (11th century) made this differentiation and clearly stated that the quranic jews and bani Israel were not the rabbinic/talmudic jews who lived with them outside of arabia. in india there is, to this day, a jewish community which went there 2000 years ago and who has their own torah, different than the one followed by the european and middle eastern jews, and who believe in the divinity of Ezra and are awaiting his second coming.

Similar to how Modern day Muslims follow the Hadith literatures which separate Muslims into sects (Shia and Sunni) versus just following the final revelation of Allah (The Qur'an) which was given to the final messenger of God, the Prophet Muhammad (MHMD). The creed of Islam (submission to the One and Only God) has been around since Adam. Messengers have come for remembrance and warning. Surely division in religion is not what God intended for us, indeed he wanted us to be men of action, men of good deeds, who believe in Him and uphold His remembrance in duty and prayer. Pure monotheism, the belief in God, and the followings presented to us in the Tanakh, the Gospels, and the Qur'an. Fundamentally they are all the same, the answer to our purpose and what we need to do to attain salvation is clearly outlined and detailed in the Qur'an.

I happen to ventured into “reading and understanding”Guide To Perplexed” by Musa Bin Mammon his real name in Arabic known as (Maimonides)to Europe.I bought the English translation of the original book( written in easy Arabic as he claimed)from Barns and Nobel but turned to be a real heavy duty and sophisticated philosophical work. As I am not trained in theology or philosophy it is taking me for ever but the esteemed scholar is making it much easier and way more interesting in learning this complex religion.

We tzaddukhim have known this since Aahron and Zadok. we pronounce this name during our seclusions or Qbl-El or Qbl-Al. this is not the rabbinic/talmudid kabbalah. we have to do 40 days and nights of Qbl-el with HaShem or El at least once in our lifetime. however, we do meditate on this word/name as part of our midnight worship or qiyam al layl. this name/word has been passed down orally since moses, aahron and zadok. i have not across anyone besides us who knows how to say this word/name. it has to do with the Essence of HaShem but is also much more than that. it can only be experienced. shalom.

Great lecture. More was needed on their beliefs on the unseen. Jinn paradise life in the grave journey of the soul. hellfire. Eternal punishment. You get mix messages from the jews. If you are openly disobedient after clear signs are given, in my humble opinion, Allah doesnt let you on that day to show up with a clear tawhid which can get you to paradise. Along the way due to your arrogance he lets you slowly dwell into shirk. Shia are a good example. And jews have dwelled much into the unseen, the world of jinn and because of their limited information by denying prophets, have created a twisted notion of who they are and Allah manifesting Himself as them. Jewish mysticism has been the foundation of all the occult, their practices and their framework of worshipping ibliss in different forms of interpretation. The brother should explain their disbelief structure which has kept them from following many of the last prophets of Allah. Selam

la hawla wala kuwata illa billah. Brother, you clearly did not listen to the lecture. This is an opportunity for interfaith dialogue and understanding, not for braindead hate comments. The jewish creed and their interpretation of God's attributes are the closest thing to Islam. Do not conflate Judaism with the zionist war machine, which is a largely secular-nationalist, christian (evangelical zionism and beliefs about armageddon; by no means an attack on christianity) endeavour. You are not going to spread the light of this religion with your tribal attitude. Jazakallah
