Indonesia is a country with only 2 seasons in a year, which is why back then, before the entire world turned up side down because of the pandemic, high season is only during the dry season - between May/June to September. October usually is what we called Panca-roba, the month in between dry and rainy season where the weather can be really unpredictable. and November is the start of rainy season, usually goes on up to late March. April will be just like October. I hope this info can help any of you who plan a visit to Indonesia. another advice, be really vigilant if you are visiting waterfalls or or any creek and river in highlands during rainy season (in any part of Indonesia) because when it starts to rain, unpredictable flash flood or landslide might happen - not always but it's better to be vigilant as nature itself is very unpredictable.
Hello, i’m planning to visit in february and i needed to ask some stuff. Can you let me know your instagram or snapchat or anything where we can connect?
Watched this video several months ago but I’m in Bali right now (jan 2024). Been here for 2 weeks and only rained on twice. It only rained for 1hr max other than when there was a thunderstorm overnight. Spent 4 days at ubud and it hasn’t rained either. Not to discredit the video, it’s all true, but you can get lucky too!
Thank you for this video. My wife was actually stressed out that we were going to be visiting from mid to late March (just over two weeks), but this has given us some reason to be hopeful. While we know we'll see rain (some days more than others), we will also be able to enjoy our vacation by looking for those 'holes' and breaks in the weather. Great videos btw, so helpful! Cheers
Sorry but I just spent 2 months in Bali, October and November, and only had 1 day of my activities rained out. That was when I visited the central part of the island. I stayed in Sanur and though there were days we had rain it was mostly at night or afternoon. A couple of times had to delay going out for dinner till rain stopped but usually less than an hour wait. Even days we did have rain there were indoor things to do so not staying in hotel. I felt the humidity was a lot less than in dry season, we could walk on beach at 8-9pm and not be covered in sweat. Maybe my experience was not the norm but I would never recommend not coming to Bali at any time of the year.
Exactly, you reiterated our points😊. October was still dry season, rainy season only started in November officially this year. We mentioned Sanur being drier and the fact that rain might not even be a problem there. We’re only suggesting people that have high expectations and a very short time, not to come to Bali during rainy season to avoid disappointment. You were there for 2 months, plenty of time to cover everything there is to do and avoid disappointment 😊
Humidity at loss because it's manifest into pouring rain....if the sun goes to the south lots of evaporated water from pacific goes to equator that's our rainy season
Good on you guys for being honest about it. I think alot of people wont provide it because it might make them feel a bit sheepish. I've spent alot time in ubud, mostly around march/april/may and it is wonderful. A few morning showers but thats about it. So hopefully you make it back there in the new year. take care.
Hello! 2 days ago I went back from Bali (I spent there more than 2,5 weeks) and the weather was - GREAT! Not much rain, only during the night (during the day - ocasionally but the rain was so gentle that it was like salvation during a hot day! For me balance between rain and sun is so good during holidays! I never felt to much humidity as you mentioned during the video. Of course, I was there to visit all the places, not laying on the beach and! another advantages for coming on Bali during wet season - there is not many tourist and additional fees! This is sooo good! I can`t imagine what happens on Bali during the sunny season :D definitely come back during rainy season :)
Rain is what makes Bali beautiful. We were there in June-July and saw many rainy days, and back last month and had lots of sunny days. And we were mostly in Ubud. The weather is changing all over the world, so I am not sure we can be definite as to when is rainy season exactly. Either way, come to Bali anytime, it is wonderful.
lots of Indian influence can be found in Indonesia even today. picture of Lord Ganesha, one of the most popular deity in India is inscribed on the 20,000 rupiah note of Indonesia. Indian currency also called Rupiah in Hindi. Indonesian Airlines is called Garuda which is an Indian deity. lots of ancient Hindu and Buddhist temples getting unearthed in Indonesia. Bali is an Indian name. Bali has 87% Hindu population. In past whole Indonesia was Hindu but now Hindus are left in Bali only.
It really is unpredictable. Last week I got drenched by the rain on several days coming home from work. Finally bought a decent poncho over the weekend, and then this week no rain, just got drenched with sweat instead.
Didn't watch the video, but I can say that I actually prefer rainy season over dry season. Only if you're planning to visit for 1 week I guess you could reconsider visiting Bali/Java between November-March if you only want sunny days, however if you're planning to for at least 2 weeks there will be plenty of sunny days in between some of the 'rainy' days. But even the 'rainy' days aren't too bad.
Super advice guys. Rainy Season can be tough for people who visit for the short term. You guys are the greatest. Safe Travels back to Cape Town . Hope we can see more of beautiful Cape Town soon. Have a Happy and Healthy Holiday Season to you and your family.🎄🎄🎄 Sending much love from Richmond, Va.❤❤❤ Harriet, Jim and Yuki

Seemingly very negative
Indonesia, Bali, Lombok, Gili's has suffered big time for lack of their main revenue
Entertaining weather concerned tourist
now its weather or not they come back like before and spend a little money
After all it is only water...
Which plays a huge part in making those rice paddy's look so amazing to us westerners
Unlike the trash on the beaches
Which again due to monsoon season
Causes major landslides and more of our shit to wash up from the torrent Ocean
One thing I do know for shore,
That is alot of effort from a good few concerned volunteers do regular beach clean ups
even in the rain
Sadly not enough of us

@@ruchikamaheshwari9295 I wouldn’t do anything in the water as the trash washes up on the beach during the rainy season.
What about honeymoon in February ???
When in February?
which one is better winter vs rainy season?
There is no winter in Indonesia. Only wet and dry seasons
@@RhettandClaire I mean South African winter vs Bali rainy season
I loved the weather although during the rainy days and probably that's because we Asians are used to it . Though I find not many foreigners are that fussy. Probably certain people get too fussy I guess. Pity you guys can't stand the weather and environment during the rainy days. 🤣🤣🤣
I could see AK on your DP❤
let us know which company you rent scooters from . short term ?? cost ??
🤩You are all so gorgeous wearing Balinese outfit..
If you want to avoid rain just come to wedding ceremony day 😁👍🙏
Hello, Claire. I would like to organize a trip to Indonesia-Java in the month of October but we are fearing the rainy season.
I would like to know if it is enjoyable, we are going on our honeymoon, and we want to go to the beach during those days as well. Would you recommend it to us?
greetings
Thank you for liking Indonesia especially no matter what, can't wait to welcome you next year when there is no rain. Actually not only Bali right now is in rainy season but also across Indonesia.. when you come back please explore more places like Komodo Island, Bunaken, Raja Ampat, and Java especially Yogyakarta and Central Java @RhettandClaire
You looked lovely in Balinese clothes, Claire..

I have question What do you do with helmet after parking scooter at tourist places, is there a safe place to leave helmet e.g. inside scooter? Do you have to carry it? I don’t see people carrying helmet and everyone seem to be on scooter, I’m confused; pls help
Yes. You can lock it under the seat😁

hi i followed your advise from your previous video & bought safetywing insurance. It WAS A SCAMED. I should have read the reviews on trust pilot before buying. Please stop advertising SCAM companies.

Anybody who travelled on November end or December starting!!

Plzz tell about your trip ....howz your experience (about rain)
Is it easy to get a Grab ride at the airport in Bali?
Oh she is from South Africa . No wonder I just feel like she sounds like Yolanda in Die Antwood, at least their accent…
Oh gosh😂
what about mid march? are there any chances of raining?
There shouldn’t be😊🙏🏻
beautiful traditional balinese clothes
I love ❤️ beautiful of Indonesia 🇮🇩
I've seen a lot of westerners suffering first world problems in Bali. If the negatives outweigh the positives you really don't belong there. Is rain and getting wet really such a big problem? Rain's beautiful.
Buy Umbrella or Raincoat..
I am traveling to seminyak end of December (17th) do you think i should reconsider?? Will it rain non stop?
Hi could you please share your experience. We are planning for the exact same dates I.e 16th-24th dec and now me and my friend are panicking thinking our trip will be rained out. So please advise. Accordingly we will reschedule or will plan singapore and malaysia 😢

Hmmm. What I like is that I do give the real information. Real is for me that you really are telling what you are really feeling an experimenting. Not jus to get likes like crazy. But again : SA. Hmmm. Should I consider to visit it for about a few months ?
Do you have any links for renting apartments ? Areas do you consider to stay ? YOU ARE THE EXPERTS....
And maybe I do get my Jimny.......
