Mike, I'm a professional solo performer and I've been fortunate enough to be in my teens one year before the Beatles broke up, so I almost grew up with them and most importantly I've been playing their songs for almost five decades, but I've never seen anyone work out such intricacies of their music as you do. Watching your videos always leaves me stunned. I just don't know how one person could work out the intricate details of each of their songs, like you do. That's truly a feat! Hats off to you...and keep them videos coming.
George Harrison was such an inventive guitar player. No clichés, no endless/pointless noodling, everything in its place. He did a lot with few notes and made it all sound wonderful. A brilliant musician.
Just demonstrates what great musicians they all were very committed to the song George 's stunning and mysterious lead parts with John 's amazing attention to time changes and rhythm:just that bridge part alone is genius. Let's not forget Ringo's intuitive canny drum work and Paul's unintrusive bass lines bravo !
Personally I've always thought of Revolver as their creative peak, and their work on this song is one of the reasons why. Big thanks to the Pachelli Brothers!👍👍😄
there was a bloke on reddit who posted comment that they were "overhyped " and "just another boyband " ( literal quotes ) . How dense do you have to be to think that , I wonder ? .....
19:16-22:13 Can you make this a separate video by itself? This is too grand to be left unnoticed. Amazing job Mike. Great production, great vocals, great backing vocals, great instrumental... Great everything!!!👍🏻🤟🏻. Edit: This is the perfect “I’m Only Sleeping” cover in the entire world!
Mike, I,m not only sleeping, I must be dreaming also, I just heard the Beatles, you did the perfect rendition so far in all of your work, Kudos to you, and your attention to details, nobody can touch you on perfection. Cheers
What else can be said? I don’t see any comments yet about the new purple soundproofing. Very nice! Also, I don’t recall seeing you using the blue strat or the Rickenbacker bass. Thanks for all the great work and expense on the production and for leaving in Paul’s mistake. I often think he left them in to make it sound unusual.
@@grantporter3715 Forgot to add, deciphering the backward solos, is like descending a staircase backward, I could never do it without falling on my back, lol
Absolutely brilliant. I have played every great Beatles song in my solo shows for decades. Every time I hear one of your breakdowns, I learn something new. Your dedication to detail is amazing.
SO interesting how this song was built, and the “pocket” is something I never appreciated as much. Johns part is just some sweet rhythm playing, GREAT George riffs and you can see Paul’s Taxman solo approach showing up ( can’t remember which song came first) Stellar attention to detail as usual and always an enjoyable watch Mike, many thanks!
Mind blowing Mike, it’s one of the best chords that John Lennon played, such a deep feeling and you played it exactly like him. Thank you for this video.
This time you did a spectacular job! Thank you so much for your hard work and for let us listen to Beatles unforgettable songs with a new level of knowledge and comprehension.
Thank you for showing the backward guitar part, it's very much appreciated! Your backing vocals on the sound so much like the record it took me by surprise, Overall great lesson! thanks mike
Wow! I never really appreciated (too much) this song until now. As always Mike - You did a 'Genius' job of putting it together! Incredible! 👏🏻😊🙏. I bow to you.
Mike you literally blow me away. I've tried to work out George's solos but lost patience. You are " Michel le méticuleux." Thanks a whole bunch for your work.
Absolutely awesome job on "I'm only sleeping" Mike and really interesting to see how the backwards guitar solos were created. I can hear that you put a great deal of effort into getting this this one spot on... thank you
Just another simple Beatles song....huh Mike??? Simply amazing breakdown. I play this starting in B minor standard tuning; this was enlightening to say the least.
Thanks Mike! Thank goodness you don’t do the “First finger on the…stuff”! You’re entertaining to watch. 😊 How you figured out that backwards guitar is beyond me! Brilliant!!!😮
Over the top incredible lesson Mike! I always wondered how they got the sound on that record. I always have to laugh when I hear someone say that the Beatles were just an average band. Obviously, they know nothing about music & this recording proves them wrong! Thanks for all of your hard work & your ending performances are always spot on & amazing! Hope that you are doing well. 👍👍👏👏
That was INSANELY cool! I love the sound of a guitar backwards. Doesn't even necessarily have to be psychedelic sounding, but it's got this...hmm...other worldly feel. I love the three parts backwards at the end. Well done...WELL DONE...🤘💪👍✌️
Just wow. Like benjamin dsouza stated below... ditto. I'm a little younger, born in 1961, so my teenage years were trying to recreate so many Beatle passages on so many different songs. I was 10 years when the Band broke up. I came across your site a few years back. Your Thoughtfulness, dedication, completion, and accuracy, along with the proper equipment... has meant hundreds of hours of enjoyment for myself. Hundreds. I watch every one. Every one. You Michael, have given me months and months of good times and pleasure, playing along, and getting small parts right. Good enough for me. Thank You for putting this whole damn thing together over the years. Yeah, there are folks out there (me) who really do dwell on every word and nuance. You Sir, with regard to the Beatles, have actually 'broken the band'. I say that with love and respect. Thank you for the continuing effort. It means much to so many of us out here.
Thank you Mike, for you teachings.I listen to this song in the original version, and your version is a lot and even thoung the original version is remastered, yours still sounds much better to me.And thend i hear the chords backwards and they remind me of a squadron of mosquitoes, very well orchstrated. The notes are coupled to the milimeter. All the best
Mike, it was a brilliant performance, in every detail not different from the original. I am impressed by the technical details about individual parties of the song, performed by each team member.
Mike, I don’t think anyone could ever beat that performance. Thanks for sharing it, there’s so much work and love on it, each lesson helps me understand why I love The Beatles so much.
AWESOME dude....HUGE help..i KNEW. it was in a weird key. had SO much trouble fingering the blasted song....but you definitely clearly showed me the REAL Beatle way. !!..great insights on the band's musicality. !! thank YOU. !! WhooHooooo!!

I hear you Man.. I was 16 when they broke up.. I was fortunate enough to know how to play most of their songs..what a trip... yeah ? LOL!!!!
Absolute masterpiece his time , Mike! You’re THE MAN!
George Harrison was such an inventive guitar player. No clichés, no endless/pointless noodling, everything in its place. He did a lot with few notes and made it all sound wonderful. A brilliant musician.

I like the version with the vibraphone
Personally I've always thought of Revolver as their creative peak, and their work on this song is one of the reasons why. Big thanks to the Pachelli Brothers!👍👍😄
Personally I’ve always favoured Rubber Soul but it’s surely the diversity between almost all of their albums that makes them the greatest and ever.
Greatest band ever

Holy cow! You’re the only person I can think of that could figure all that out! So great to feel like I’m in the studio watching those kids in 1966.
Mike is amazing!
I’ve always loved this song and that backwards solo is just ingenious, it just adds perfectly to the whole psychedelic vibe of the song
That’s insane. How did u figure out the backwards parts. Very well done!!!!
How does he figure out any of the parts?
@@DonTSmith By listening intently, watching any video footage…How did you think he does it?😉
@@DonTSmith -- I'm sure he first starts with a free program like Audacity, that can reverse any audio. Then the intent listening and learning begins.
It's not hard.
You learn the notes forward and play them backward
I used to play my records backwards by hand listening to it forward. These days you can reverse audio a bit easier.!!!
By far my favourite Beatles song, I've yet to get sick of it since first hearing John's opening line...
Great breakdown as always Mike!

Thank you, Mike, for bringing out these very important nuances. Your videos are very inspirational indeed! John was extremely unique.

Amazing job. It’s also amazing how the Beatles take something that seems simple but turn it into something complex and spectacular.
