But if the traditional companies thought its certain profit they would do it, it was just a big risk for them to take. They had to create new products have a new advertising campaigns. The grass is always greener... All said, being obese is a health issue not a "beauty" issue, people don't necessarily need to be fit or ultra slim, but if the BMI is within a range of concern, people should treat as a serious health issue. Till the massive, but very culturally divers markets of India (~690mil customers) and Africa (~609mil customers) open up, the situation will persist.
