By far the easiest way to tune to 432 Hz is to get a versatile tuner like this one: amzn.to/2F99JlS (Amazon affiliate link) It lets you tune from 410Hz to 480Hz! It tunes acoustic and electric guitars, basses, mandolins, banjos, ukulele, cellos, double basses, and other stringed instruments. Cheers!!
Can you give me the exact name of the tuner ? Is this Daddario? Are you sure it has settings from 410Hz to 480Hz? Most of these clip ons dont have that range.
Nice, i couldn't tune my guitar to 432 from just listening to one video with all the strings so i decided to plug my tuner to pc while video is playing and it showed EADGBE and every string was half step down. it sounds beutiful when you tune it perfectly, good luck
Pulled this from a Google search.@@penclaw No. E flat tuning (the whole guitar a semitone lower) is the same as A=415Hz tuning, which is used in some Baroque music groups to simulate one common tuning from the period. (There were many different standards back then!) A=432 is approximately a 3rd of a semitone below standard A=440 pitch. That’s just enough to sound really out of tune when you play with other people, but not enough to make much of a difference in tone from the slacker strings. [EDIT] Tony Baker points out that E flat tuning usually refers to an E flat chord sounding with open strings (Eb Bb Eb G Bb Eb) NOT as I assumed with the E strings and all the other strings down a semitone from the usual E. But it’s still not A=432.
@@qualitybuilders5028 ok let it be, then probably i was young and dumb (it was 6 years ago xD) or my tuner lied to me. PS: i re-read what i wrote in my former comment and by saying EADGBE i meant it was E standard but detuned half down the scale, i thought back then that it means im playing half step down tuning.

you could.. just follow where the arrow aligns as shown in this videos. a more precise method would be to set the tuner to "432 mode" I'm not sure if yours does that though..
So how do u tune the A to 432? This defeats the whole purpose of video. If I have 432 to start I can adjust the others but how do I start with 432 on the A
the brand is D'Addario. I believe it discountinued model. before getting one check to see tuning can be changed (tuning range) or you can use any chromatic tuner to tune to 432 using this method ua-cam.com/video/Bt0Dm9A0rFU/v-deo.html hope this helps.
So what does that mean??? You tune just the A string to "432 A," and then fret tune the rest to match? Or are you leaving the rest of the strings tuned to 440. This doesn't make sense to me.......
yes. you should fret tune other strings based on A=432. all strings should have same relative tuning, so you can't leave out the rest in 440 relative tuning. it wouldn't match.
If you find tuning for one string just detune all the stings the same amount shy. Tuning will still be e a d g b e this won't change because it is not that far from standard. Half step is 415 so 432 is closer to standard then 432 is to 415

I made the switch, and I'm not going back! 432hz sounds amazing on every guitar I change. Now for the Rhodes.......

nice. glad it worked out!
Half step isn't 432. Half step is 415
@@qualitybuilders5028 o rly? My tuner was showing 432hz as half step down lol

Amazing vid
thank you :)
i have a polytuner which is a clip on tuner. can i still tune to 432?

I have a tuner goes only goes from 435hz to 446hz, so, not all tuners ;)
That made no sense. You didn't lower the strings to 432. Am I missing something?
hi there. as i stated in the first 25 seconds: "it's already pre-tuned to 432 hz"
The couple cents below 440 shows it
Yea so how does it help us when ur already ore tuned?
your sure are missing everything good with the correct frequency 432hz. 440 is evil distortion frequency.
my korg AX3000G can easily be parametered in 432hz ... i can also do this with my Line6 UX1 ...
What brand of tuner is that, hard to find ones that do 432?

They have a model called 'Eclipse' now, cheers man

btw in 2022 you can use your phone, there are countless free apps that support 432
