I like the xop straps. I just put them on my summit viper tonight. I have a similar product on my xop hanger and I like it. I just dont like taking down and putting up the xop hanger everyday. If im going to hunt the same tree for a week or so I will set the xop up and leave it, take two of the stick with me in and out everyday no problem. I like the climber becuase I can switch trees quick, I mounted a bow/rifle holder to it, the summit tree bag and my camera mounts. Saves so much time setting up and taking down. The ability to move closer to deer when they are out of range makes you feel like they are never really out of range keeping morel at an all time high. Going to go watch some more of your videos. Thanks for posting.
I also carry mine cables up. Though I have the sit n climb. I have both, but I've never hunted with the stand n climb. I can sit in my sit n climb all day. And often do. Just got the XOP strapped on and it feels amazing. Anxious to get it out. Great video.
Cool vid. I believe that's the alpha not assault. I have the exact one and my bro has tha assault. I'd advise inverting the platform having the biting teeth on the bottom so if you were to fall, it dont gouge your back head. I love mines, it's my go to.
No alpha in the hand climber series that I see, only in hang on series on the website. There is assault in both hang on and hand climber series though, thats where the confusion is I think
Do you let it hang off the bottom of the stand when up in the tree if so what happens when the wind blows? Other then that question great video. Thanks
Yeah, it always hangs off the bottom of the stand when hunting, but that never seem to bother the deer when I was hunting. If that bothers you, you can take it off before climbing up, all you have to do is unbuckle it, it wouldn't take but about 10-15 seconds, then you could buckle it back up when you leave.
No its not. When I did this video it was still brand new to me, but those little knobs that you tighten/loosen pull out from that slot and I didn't have it pulled out all the way before trying to collapse it. Pull those knobs out and it slides down easy
Do the arms on the seat portion angle in when the tree is smaller diameter? I don't see an angle in them so I'm curious as if my 260 pound butt will bend them inwards. Or do you have to have a minimum diameter tree that would prevent the arms flexing inwards towards the tree following the belt around?
If I understand your question correctly then the answer is NO The arms never flex or bend inward no matter what size tree. Only thing adjustable would be your traction belt, you just adjust it in or out depending on the tree size
ua-cam.com/video/XSY9cMX5w6o/v-deo.html The link above will show you another great video This video is an excellent example of how to get into smaller diameter trees. The top/seat section has nothing stopping the traction belt from sliding all the way in, but the bottom/stand part section does have a bolt that will stop the traction belt from being slid all the way in, which is something you will need for the smaller diameter trees. This guy shows how you simply flip the nut and bolt on the bottom and it frees up your belt to be able to fully adjust it for small trees. Hope this helps
I just went to Kentucky hunting public and toted my backpack full of camera gear/hunting gear etc on the back of the climber using those black rubber bungee straps to connect pack to the base of stand
I have same climber. I hook the top hand strap on my hunting pack on the tree grabbing teeth point of the climber, behind my head. And then one bungee strap around it, to the platform.
I wouldn't really say I could get into different trees that the summit cant. They both get in the same type trees, but this Lone Wolf just fits my needs better for bowhunting and packing up smaller and going in farther. The belts that wrap around the tree are quieter and this stand seems to allow me to get through thicker stuff a little easier than my summit did on my back. Happy with it so far
@@Cqnspammail it works with anyone....if you're small you might be able to use the slightly lighter and smaller platformed version. Only difference is it might take a few more bounds up to where you want to go.

Well sounds like you got it figured out man! Good luck this season and thanks for watching!
@@adohiproductions6506 Good Luck to you too. Cant wait to see some big ol bucks and does on your channel this season.

I use the XOP on my Viper. You could turn the stand 180 degrees and carry it with the belts down.
Alot of people carry it with belts down and that works good too. This season I carried like in the video and never had any issues that way either
I like to face the tree straps down for carrying on all my climbers. Seems to not grab brush as bad when I have to duck under. Good video.

I seen the tip about the teeth going downwards in another video..good tip! 👍
Good review. Appreciate it

Thanks for the informative video! Good stuff! Looks like it took a lot of effort to collapse the base. Is it always that difficult?

The Lone Wolf is a much better stand in general in my opinion.
What's your height and weight, I'm 5'8.. 150lbs.. would a smaller frame work well with the assault 2?
