    “We can lose the cloud during a control plane failure, a network failure or a hacking failure.”
    Eliminating single points of failure is an intelligent approach-for cloud architecture design AND for life!
    Thanks for sharing this knowledge with some great analogies that really drive home the concept.

    Thank you Mike. As Cloud Architects we have to be vendor agnostic and customer focused. This is the only way we can truly design the best solutions
    for our customers. As we work to eliminate single points of failure within the cloud, we also need to ensure that we take a step back and apply
    that thinking to the cloud itself. One is none, two is one and three is better than two!

    Thank you for spreading awareness about the risks that businesses are running into by using a single cloud provider.

    Great lesson on the importance and implementation of Multicloud Mr Gibbs. Thank you. Listening to the security vulnerabilities and business losses associated with single cloud makes me want to work even harder at being a better Cloud Architect.

    Multi cloud architectures avoid single points of failure! Today as we designed a multi cloud architecture for a hospital environment it was displayed that if 1 cloud went down, we’d have our other cloud provider and if that cloud provider went down we would still have our own open stack cloud. Multi cloud allows you to have 5 9’s of high availability which could essentially save lives because we made sure that there’s no room for extensive down time! Thank you for this great video!

    Thank you for a very great explanation, Mike.
    You have made this information much easier to understand.
    From this video, I have put these information to my Cloud journal.
    - To avoid single point of failure, protect your valuable information by implementing Multi and Hybrid Clouds.
    - Remember 1 is none. 2 is 1. And 3 is better than 2.
    Always have your OPTIONS.
    Leverage your BARGAINING POWER.
    I hope to come back to my Journal one day to be surprised of how much the #Cloud has tremendously improved.

    Another great video Michael.
    With the recent outages, multi cloud is has definitely gained steam which I believe is great for businesses and also for the cloud providers as they all have their unique offerings in comparison to each other.

    Thanks Mike. This sounds like a big part of my next presentation for Business Continuity . One is none, two is one, three is better than two. We always hear of the 5 nines but those are pies in the sky

    It’s best to think of cloud providers like you think of income streams. When everything is going fine, having additional streams gives you additional capabilities as well as things like tax benefits, depending on the type of income. When things go wrong, you get the benefit of additional availability of cash to maintain financial operations if one stream slows down.
    Having multiple cloud (or any type of service provider) gives similar benefits in IT infrastructures.

    But for to have Multicloud the architecture shiud be cloud agnostic
    Like we shud not use sqs sns ..we shud use kafka or rabbit mq etc ..as example

    • @GoCloudArchitects
      @GoCloudArchitects  8 місяців тому

      Absolutely.
      In multicloud we generally use systems that work in all clouds.
      Databases, messaging systems, firewalls etc.
      Not only do they work in all clouds and data centers, but they typically also have more features and functionality for the enterprise customer then cloud proprietary services

    How much will it cost for a multi cloud architecture? How can I propose a business case to board in terms of ROI for multi cloud?

    • @GoCloudArchitects
      @GoCloudArchitects  3 місяці тому

      @@senanur1983 Hi. The costs are essentially the same.
      For example putting 100 percent of systems in one cloud is not much cheaper than putting 50 percent of systems on two clouds.
      Now if one is a private cloud and one is a public cloud the costs are cheaper then just a single public cloud in most cases.
      It’s a pretty easy business case to look at availability and business continuity needs. Especially as 98 percent of enterprises are asking for multi cloud.
