Sorry for the complainers. I find people around my age are at various levels of competency. Yeah, there are very old 60 year olds and there are young 80 year olds. You can't please 'em all. Your suggestions are good, so thank you. I would add an emergency blanket-they fold into a 3 inch square and are reflective. Also try dividing a "bug-out"bag and a shelter in place supply bag. We were given 24 hour notice to evac for Hurricane Milton. Alot more notice than some of the Helene survivors were given.
I hav everything on your list except a multitool knife. I do hav a knife and extra tools in my car. I live in mountains so i keep extra hats scarves and socks in my car along with studded snow tires n chains and blankets plus a 12v blanket and food just in case. Im 73. My 5 cats hav at least 2 yrs of food
Gallon a Day per person, half a gallon a day for each pet......Lady you need to do more studying for an emergency......check with your fire department and your area co-op.......they have a list of things people need for emergencies........each type of emergency requires different essentials.......or you will be in need in different emergencies.......some even require face masks of different types....if you have to leave home in an emergency, be sure to take your pets and their supplies as well as those that may have medical needs....for pets and people......people need about eight, 8 ounce glasses of liquid a day.......pour that much water into a gallon jug and see how much that is, then there is some needed for hygiene......check it out peoples......homework......
I’m only a couple of minutes into this video and I’m finding it rather patronising and insulting regarding older people! Do you really think that we can’t figure this stuff out for ourselves? 😠🙄
Most scripts can be refilled two weeks before they are due. Refill early and put away the extra two weeks supply. Also call your doctor and tell them why you need an extra supply

Thank you for your support. 😊 Great ideas as well.
You need a gallon of water per day per person.
You need much more water than a liter a day. That would only be enough to drink you will still need water to cook with and hygiene
so true, thank you for correcting this. I really needed to clarify that 1 litre a day is enough water for drinking per person. 😊
A GALLON A DAY PER PERSON......IS WHAT THEY SAY.....NOT A LITRE.....AND ABOUT HALF GALLON FOR ONE PET each.......
I am 67 and have most of these, but the main difference is I don't have candles, I have solar lights.
That's awesome, yousoumd prepared for an emergency
Much safer… don’t have to worry about fire hazard of candles.

That's fantastic. Great ideas for your tires as well. Thank you
Same recommendations as any other survival youtube postings. Not just for "elderly"
Yes, it is very similar but we all have different audiences. I agree not just for the Elderly
A liter per day is rediculous! Most sites Say at least a gallon per day is recommended, but that's really too low. DH
Thank you for letting us know
“ You know”
😊
A liter of water is a bare minimum.
YES , some else brought that up too. It is the minimum for drinking water per person, Thank you for your comment

I read a litre per person a day. I include pets in that , depending on their size. Thank you for your comment. So much conflicting info out there. 😊

sorry you feel that way. I am an older person too and love lists
You can't refill prescriptions until they are due.
I know but we should be able to get a few extra, in a fair world. I know it doesn't happen often. ❤️
@ That is an idea for sure, thank you
