Just a heads up. If ur lights, the keyless entry lights, come on and stay on. Change the battery in ur key fob. It's the alert to tell u ur battery in ur fob is low. Its in the manual as well. Hope this helps someone. Ive had 2 fords. 2002 Explorer and 2013 Escape
Thank you thank you thank. I now have a code that works. It unlocks my door, the passenger doors, and opens the trunk. I found the five digit code by the fuse box in a white sticker as well. Awesome...
Hey, thanks! Believe it or not - the manual, and none of the other 'how to' videos, actually explains how to handle the EVEN NUMBERS - basically this is only a 5-digit keypad - nothing says that. You didn't explain that, but you did demonstrate it with that second number. And you did the rest very clearly as well. 😃😃 Seeing in Stereo now!
@@Hindsight101 A lot of people use old addresses or birthdates as number codes. I use an old address number that has an 8 and 9 in it. That's why 5 button key pads incorporate all 9 digits.
The factory original code may be located inside the fuse panel near the hood release. The digits are in bold on a white sticker up behind some wires, use a flashlight. (At least it is there on my 2011 Ford Edge)
Great video. But I'm having a problem. I bought a 2015 expedition used and it does not matter which button I press it unlocks the car. I have tried reprogramming but nothing works. Every button pressed only once unlocks my car. Do you have any input on why this is or how to fix it? It's a big security issue.
Have you tried replacing the battery? I think it might be faulty. I would replace the fob, if its an all in one key and fob. Then that may get expensive.
Keypads that are installed by Ford (or dealer) run on the car's battery power. Key pads that have been installed separately, use an internal battery. There are instructions to replace them on You Tube
There are just 5 buttons. The first button is for 1 or 2. It lets you come up with number patterns that are easier to remember. But, functionally, there are just five button.s
What is the purpose of this? I’m from the UK and have seen these on American cars all my life. We don’t have these. Also, I’ve seen on some movies American people pressing buttons on the ceiling to call some company to start the car remotely haha… What is all this? 😂

Thanks. I'll keep that in mind
That's great to know, thanks for the tip!
Thanks for doing this vid. Helped a lot
No problem 👍

Excellent!
Open your trunk lid..most fords have that code on the right side trunk hinge as well..as a sticker..

Haha I guess I've used it so many times I just forgot to say it. I have no clue why ford didn't just make it 12345.

👍 It makes sense to make it easier, its just when I think about it too much it seems odd to me.
Thank you excellent video
You're welcome
Thanks for info
You're welcome
I just randomly used a code and my doors unlocked! So glad I don’t have to wait on AAA
Glad you were able to get in but don't know if that's a good or bad thing
@@Hindsight101 It was a complete fluke because I tried to lock the doors and do it again and I couldn’t figure it out for the life of me

Unfortunately I no longer have the vehicle or I would check that out
Brandon
Thanks for this info. I found the code exactly where you said and was finally able to use the key pad. 👍🏼
@@roxannegonzales9851 so glad I could help!
I only found 4 numbers on mine, is it possible that could be it
cool
Got a really dumb question .. how do I hit numbers 2,4,6,8 & 0 do I double tap 1 to get 2? Do I press and hold 1 to activate 2?
Win-Son Lai Huang Technically you’re not pressing either number when you press a button it’s more for you to remember whatever code you make up
@@Hindsight101 I think I get it. So if my code is 1-2-3-4-5 I'd press the first button twice the second button twice and the third button once?
Correct
Sadly their is only 5 numbers . Why Ford pretends that there are 10 is odd.
@@winlaihuang real simple the keys are multi functional..so it reads a 1 or a 2 with one press..
Can you change the battery on this?
What do you mean, the car battery?

Sorry for some reason I thought you meant the fob. But I still think it faulty. I would take it in to get looked at dont want to mess with your safety
I did the 5 digit key code and pressed 1/2 and nothing happened. Any ideas?
Where did you get the code from
I got the master code off the remote anti theft computer thing. The 5 digit original code is in there.
You may want to contact the delerahip
How do you lock it?
It's in the video
I AM NOT GETTING ANYTHING TO REACT WHEN I PUSH BUTTONS COULD THE SYSTEM BE LIKE DEAD?
Might have a mechanic look at it. Could be a fuse problem not sure

Where is the fuse for the keypad as it's not working
I'm sorry I do not know
How we can put even numbers. Like it seems if we need to put 4 ,and we press 3-4 it set as 3 . How it fixed as 4
Think of the keypad as 12345. That should clear things up

Just make the 3 4 instead. It's the same
only ford comes up with 2 digits per button. logic says 1 2 3 4 5. ford says 12 34 45 67 89.
Yeah I don't understand it either
Makes sence to me. If I have a 5 digit number i already have memorized that I want to program using any of 6-7-8-9-0 or not... I can. Thanks Ford.

You can use the keypad to lock and unlock your doors. These were on older cars not so much with newer cars
ypurs is the 3 4 like on 2003 Fords
My'17 ford has the same key pad
👍
MOJO TRAILHAWK thank you
How do you lock it with the button?
I mention that at the 03:13 mark
