There was a chair that could have not fallen off. it did due to lack of mainentance.
This is also the company that built the chair lift in Georgia that went into high speed reverse earlier in 2018 resulting in at least 10 bad injuries. Go check that vid out. Freaking scary 😮
Hi Owen! That's right, the Gudauri incident happened on one of our fixed-grip chair lifts. The lift was technically okay, unfortunately the personnel made an operating error after a total power breakdown - it was a human error. Thank God there were no casualties.
Doppelmayr Seilbahnen And where were those roll back brakes? Did they run away?
@@magnus6018 all brakes worked normally when the electrical power in the area broke down. The lift crew started the emergency drive and then opened the brakes manually - but they forgot to clutch in...
Doppelmayr Seilbahnen Ah, right. But why did it take so long for them to stop the lift? Shouldn’t it just be a press of a button?
