Good luck with your sunflowers, we grow about 75 acres a year on our farm here in France. Sadly this year the crows have eaten most of them! also not been helped by the lack of rain and high temperatures. Amazing how fast the ground dried up. Glad to see you got moving. We are about half done cultivating but it rained half an inch last night so I don’t think I’ll be seeding till Wednesday now.
Neighbor grew 40 acres of sunflowers one year. They made it and he got them combined with a rotary combine and spent several years bagging and selling them for bird seed in town.

It’s the curse of our ground, we complain it’s to wet, sun comes out for five minutes we complain it’s to dry.
