Good call on repeating the eye protection thing. While i typically dont wear a full face mask, i do wear Dewalt goggles now after a piece of metal managed to go between the frame and my upper cheek of a nice pair of normal 3m glasses i used to use. Didn't really notice it at first, then the next morning i could hardly open the eye. Cost me about $400 to get it removed, and only that little because i paid cash. Those of you who don't wear adequate eye protection are going to love it when the doctor puts your eye in a special clamp which prevents you from blinking. its a blast.
I find that the tool reviews you do were not on here I would not know of these things, ( I have ordered the burrs, by the way) Keep up the good information.. Cheers
Just look at mohs scale of hardness mate. These carbide burrs are 9 on a scale of 10. Hardened steel is rated as 7-8, so of course these things will cut through.... Just research the hardness of the materials you’re working with and the principal is that the harder things will cut the softer things.
Hey John. Bought a pile of these burs about three years ago straight from china. I bought five of each type because at four bucks each i thought i would kill them pretty quickly. I use them often and hard and no lube.nearly all are still in their packets. Really only killed one in that time.
Hello John...loved the safety tip at the end...I use a welding hood as the replacement lens is so much cheaper and flat so it doesn't distort the view with pesky reflections, also you have protection from below as the hood curves in real nice... again...thanks for a great video... PB
Cracking honest review. I have to admit to being very pleasantly surprised. I thought they'd be poor. Very impressed with the performance. Especially on stainless.
I used to use carbide burrs like this in the auto shop a lot, but they were always very expensive off the Snap-On truck. I think I'll order a set, they seem to work well!
I have rusted bolt in the exhaust pipes. I need to grind the rusted bolt head. Is it safe to use these burrs on a corded drill - "DeWALT - DWD014S-QS" its 550Watt , 2800 RPM no load. I risk destroying the drill because it's not made for side loads i heard. Please answer. Thanks
I remember years ago being sent out at work for a set of these and the price was crazy, and they were only hss ones. These look good. What shank diameter are they ?
I'm very well impressed with those John. You gave them a good work out and as you say they look as good as the expensive ones. I will be buying a set! Well I would buy them if I could find the bloody link! Can anybody help me?
Hi John, just after some additional and replacement hand files, have you done any reviews? can't fine via search. Is there any brand you could recommend? I've never bought any, they came from work. Bellotta, Stubs and some just marked with an n. They have been good with regular carding but just coming of age 30yrs +
WD 40 works also very good as lubicant to avoid cloggig up the burr bit on aluminium.

Very nice burrs. I was surprised at how well they did in the stainless. Great tool review video.
I was amazed how they cut stainless

Isn't it annoying when the ghost of a welder sneaks into your workshop, in the middle of the night, and welds on you table? 😀
Thanks for sharing John, you could help out at your local dentist?!!
I didn’t know these things bite so hard in harder materials like steel. Learned new things here.

Fit for purpose.
Thanks for sharing John.
At first I thought I had lost track of the day and it was Sunday already. Then I noticed it is not a nightcap.
John, you have me hooked, have just ordered a set for my use here in Adelaide Australia.

Tungsten tools are very thorough.

They seem to work quite well.

6 mm
Dormer ones still cost a fortune.
😎👍 Nice job John
I'd like a set of these to fit my 240V Dremel tool, but 6mm is way too big for it's collet system.
Thank you very much
Hi John, thanks for the review. Those ones are discontinued, so you might want to update the link to the replacements?
I think I read that 80% of all carbide burrs are made in Ireland???? Great video John... PB from USA
Thanks John, I ordered them!
That be there some bloody good testing John..!
The mig weld wasn't the only nasty thing there! Lol
I'm very well impressed with those John. You gave them a good work out and as you say they look as good as the expensive ones. I will be buying a set!

What lubricant are you using to keep the tool from clogging?
WD 40 or kerosene
@@doubleboost thanks John, my tools were slightly clogging up when I used cutting paste.
Where's the link to buy these? Great review John 👍👍👍
video description box

I have a set and they are good

Ohh I've missed that intro
Good review thanks. Now you have the task of cleaning all that “ glitter “ from every corner of your workshop and clothes..
Lovly mate
I wore my ppe before watching this videos.
In China, this kind of packaged product is of the worst quality. It just so happens that the quality of our rotary file is the best in China.
2:42 lmao
Fart at 2:45
2:43 💩
