Personally I don't think it matters if the ring is on the left or the right. I know some people feel it makes a difference - but I don't. The best way to find out - is to switch the ring to the other hand and see if it feels different.
It feels totally different to wear a ring on the passive hand vs the dominant hand- especially the index finger. I'm assuming this means it's best to amplify the energy with your dominant/writing hand.

The ring I ordered only fits on my pinky finger. I didn’t want to wear it there I guess now I have no choice. Has nothing to do with sexuality for me. My fat fingers only work out for this.

Thank you for this information. I'm trying to learn more about astrology and this information gave me the some of the planets in play. I was looking at my chart to figure out how two years ago I broke my left ring finger while I was sitting in a chair, my new dog ran off to chase a ball while she was on a leash at the beach and the force crushed my hand. The next time it happened was two years later when a horses lead rope got caught around my hand and my hand was being crushed by the pulling action of the spooked horse and was pressed up to a metal bar. It was a fright as the whole thing was more dramatic and a larger area of the hand was injured but not broken this time. I figured it was no accident the part of the body but I assumed Mars was the problem. This post helped me to see it was Mars transiting opposite my Mercury. I like posts where different disciplines are combined to give a fuller picture.

weelgunny in some countries it is traditional to wear the wedding ring on your right ring finger, so don't suppose it makes a difference. I wear a narrow thumb ring and a fidget ring on my index finger because I like the way they look opposed to one another and I wear a dad ring on my pinky, I also have a celtic band tattooed round my left thumb and a ring of scar tissue round my right index which I branded on when I was younger. I have a star tattoo on my left pinky, a heart with my partners initials on the base of the ring finger and a moon in the middle, I have lightning on the middle finger and a sun on the index, I also have a pink birth mark on my right ring finger, does it mean anything? Well I impart my own meaning to my jewellery and my body mods (tattoos, piercings and others) my conch on my left ear has a whole through it to let in the light, my tongue split represents the tearing of my heart when I lost my daughter as well as the pain I felt from that and the addiction I suffered and my dimple piercings are a reminder to smile when I feel down. I have many piercings and they can have meaning personally or they can be purely aesthetic, some like the tongue split and the two tongue piercings and my more private piercing can have their uses too.
