Black Bart is a former WCCW Champion (World Class Championship Wrestling), NWA National Heavyweight Champion (Nation, multi-time Brass Knucks champ & tag team champ with Ron Bass. This 3-hour interview was conduced by Title Match Network in Weatherford, Texas just outside of Dallas.
Here we discuss with Black Bart his theory about what really happened to Chris Benoit, his wife, Woman (Nancy Benoit) & son Daniel. Bart worked with Chris Benoit (former WWE & WCW Champion) on three different Japan tours before Benoit came to ECW & later WCW. Bart also wrestled Benoit on WCW TV when he went under "Big Train Bart" in the mid-90s.
Bart also knew Woman back when she first started in the business, this is when she was married to Kevin Sullivan (former Florida & WCW wrestler/booker).

Hey Title Match.... I'm really loving this shoot interview with Bart. I'm 52 so I definitely grew up in the era of NWA WCW here in the south. anyway just wanted to throw this out there it would be great to find more guys like this that worked a lot of years in the business and kind of stayed in the mid to upper midcard level. This might sound crazy but I would even love to hear a shoot from the Mulkeys...can you imagine some of the stories these guys have from working with the midnight Express to rock and roll pretty much every major tag team. Anyway keep up the good work

For openers, I’m not at all a Chris Benoit wrestling fan. After a review of many unsettling facts I don’t think Chris killed his family, not for a second! This case NEEDS to be reopened!!
Hmmm evidence STRONGLY points to Chris but one thing that can't be denied is the authorities completely were incompetent during this case. The police letting the neighbor lady in the house by herself before they went it!? During the Dark Side of the Ring., even the cops was saying she was taking a long time when she was just supposed to be putting trhe dogs up. She could've tampered with evidence, intentionally or unintentionally, we'll never know. And that DA I think that told all the media that Daniel had Fragile X and track marks on his arms, which was untrue. Lol Like wtf
He killed them then himself. Guy was abusive towards Nancy you really should look up police reports and how Nancy wanted a divorce. Or listen to the crime in sports podcast they did on Chris. Lots of information.
I loved watching him wrestler. He obviously gave it his all. Kurt Angle (another one I loved watching) said Benoit is the only person who matched his intensity in the ring. I knew I was going to see a great match when I watched Benoit in the ring. The man had immense talent. Especially because he had a setback as being smaller. McMahon was always into bigger guys, so that presented more of a challenge to Benoit in proving himself. I don’t think anyone could deny his ability in the ring, whatever they may think about his and his families death, whether they think he did it or not. He was phenomenal in the ring.
He was part of the illuminati ...supposively almost all famous people are owned by them but Benoit resisted according to Donald Marshall.

To this day I still haven't given up hope that Benoit will be proven innocent of murder. He will always be my favorite technical wrestler.
Chris WAS technical wrestling, the guy was pure as you can get.. he didn’t have an explosive personality, he wasn’t slick with the words like a Rick Flair- he was purely a technical god in the ring. His moves were insane, and unique; he mastered that craft.
Imagine Ben in MMA, he would’ve been a beast.. he’s one guy who could’ve transitioned smoothly, and succeed- hence Ken Shamrock, and Ben(in my humble opinion) is extremely more talented & capable than Ken.. and Ken is a badass.

Yes the Benoits were murdered, and Chris certainly didn't commit suicide either.
For one - why wasn't his cell phone found?
If they were murdered which isn't likely but if they were the idea Sullivan had anything to do with it over his ex wife is ridicules but I'd look more into his friendship with the Mexican guy who after he died Chris they said started acting paranoid and saying he was being followed. I'd look more into that relationship and possible cartel involvement

- Benoit had a history of domestic violence. Both Benoit and Nancy were previously married, which would indicate dysfunctional marriages. Nancy filed for divorce and a restraining order from Chris, citing cruel punishment. These were later dropped obviously, but that doesn't excuse Chris, as victims often stay with abusers, and unhappy spouses will often stay for the child or to try to work things out.
- Benoit had severe brain damage, was undoubtedly suffering long term damage from steroids and growth hormones, was depressed from Eddie and according to sources, a new alcoholic and paranoid. We know for a fact he searched online how to kill himself, and the Bible story of Elijah, which features a man raising his son from the dead. This would seem to imply regret.
- Police come into the house. They see a woman bound and dead. A kid, dead in bed, and a man hanging from a weight machine with no signs of forced entry. What's the obvious conclusion here?
In conclusion a respected athlete paid the price for years of drug abuse and hard knocks. The end.
The cops let the next door neighbor into the house to take control over benoit's dogs because they were running loose and the neighbor knew the dogs. That neighbor is the one that found the bodies and since he walked all over the house and contaminated the crime scene the cops never dusted for prints. In fact the cops came up with a whole scenario in record time. Everyone that knows about the case says how piss poor of a job the cops did investigating. We simply will never know the truth because of the incompetence of the police force.

The creepiest things about the Benoit Family Tragedy: the Wikipedia entry and the knife under Daniel's bed in Daniel's bedroom. Nobody will ever know who wrote the Wikipedia article about Chris, Nancy and Daniel's deaths and the knife under Daniel's bed was never examined for fingerprints and blood.

I hope somebody is investigating this further. I still don't believe he did that.
What I read was that Benoit didn't have alcohol or steroids in his system when they found him. But they found empty alcohol containers and steroids at the scene. He probably had CTE. But the same could be said about any pro wrestlers that had numerous head injuries or worked hardcore matches. But if CTE makes you a killer, Mick Foley or any other hardcore wrestlers would've already suffered a similar fate. CTE & Steroids were just a way for the mainstream media and the police department to sweep the case under the rug and take another shot at pro wrestling. Chris said he thought he was being followed & took different paths home. He said Nancy and Daniel were sick that weekend. Maybe he left to go get some stuff for them, someone waited until he was gone to enter the house and kill his wife and son, then Chris returned home, found them dead, placed bibles by them, and took his own life? He was already suffering from the loss of Eddie, now losing his wife and son, he had no strength left to continue life. Just a thought. But the official story isn't always the true story. Especially when its conclusion is so quickly made.

I thought I was the only person that felt the exact same way. I still think somebody, after hearing Chavo say that he was on the phone with Chris when someone came to Chris’s door and then he heard a scuffle and then the phone went dead. I still don’t believe Chris did it.

I’ll say this much, too many people have said that if anyone could get away with having them murdered it was Sullivan. If you listen to the podcast that came out last year of Sullivan and Jim Cornette talking about this, it’s obvious that there’s something not being told. You can even tell Cornette starts to get uncomfortable asking Sullivan questions as if he might accidentally slip up.
Don’t get me wrong, Sullivan might have nothing to do with it and Benoit may have killed his family. But I don’t see that happening. Something doesn’t add up. I can truly believe Chris found his wife and kid dead and did himself in. The only other thing I’ve read that nobody has talked about is how the Japanese mob did it because Chris owed them money. I don’t know. But I bet Chris is innocent.

i think theres a very seedy underbelly in the wrestling business, much like a secret society, back in the day you were sworn to secrecy about the business & never to reveal the trade or go against the kayfabe standard of the time. i think this has given many years for a darker aspect to grow & maybe it was once needed, but by the time chris died, secrecy wasnt really a thing anymore. maybe this system within a system had grown into something else entirely by then and just maybe it could be responsible for some deaths in wrestling that just dont add up. did you know that chris's old tag team partner from stampede was found dead on the very same day as chris? pretty strange coincidence & not something i hear mentioned by any active guys, ever. :/

I think he did it, Couple of ppl said there was violence and that Nancy was gonna file for divorce. I think he had serious mental problems maybe due to head injuries and steroids and after eddy died he jus gradually lost it. It’s hard to imagine someone killing there kid but unfortunately happens.

Chris and Nancy’s phones (the phones used to send the texts to Chavo, and Referee Scott Armstrong) were never found. Nancy’s body was found wrapped in a blanket as if it was planned on being moved when it was never moved. AC was shut off, house was 92 degrees when body’s were found you’d only do that to where the body’s would decompose faster. Biff Wellington (one of Chris’s best friends and Old Tag Team Partner) was killed on the same day as Chris.
You can say whatever you want, all of those are facts, not opinions.

The only thing that I find weird about the murders is that chris benoit was declared dead by autopsy I think on Saturday but chavo Guerrero said he got a text from him on a Sunday, just saying that someone might've been texting chavo that wasn't chris or anyone else in the family
That's again just complete internet speak. Sandra, Nancy's sister does a really long interview on Chris Jericho's podcast about the whole situation and she's very level headed about it. She said Benoit did it, she was pretty much at that house after the discovery and was there for the entire investigation. She speaks well of Chris, but she has openly said that the internet fans are really deluded

Because as we know Benoit went to a doctors appointment and took photos the day he killed Nancy, and there was a Wikipedia update that knew Nancy was dead 14 hours before the bodies were found. The second point sure it was investigated but in the interrogation video, the Wikipedia hacker exhibits signs of liar.
Remember Chavo was talking to Chris on the phone... the Chris said HANG ON A SECOND SOMEONE IS AT MY DOOR... then Chavo heard a scuffle... then the phone went dead... you will have to look to find that interview but it's there... Chris did not kill them... also remember Sullivan drank alot...there was wine and beer bottles everywhere where around their bodies... Chris had no alcohol in him...
I can't believe they never questioned Kevin Sullivan over this he hated Benoit because Benoit married his ex-wife which Kevin Sullivan used to beat the hell out of her rest in peace brother you are the greatest technical wrestler ever in the history of wrestling
Kevin Sullivan never got questioned because it was an open and shut case the police weren't marks for Benoit, so they simply went off of the overwhelming evidence which of course painted a vivid picture of Benoit killing Nancy and his son before hanging himself....

It sounds like Bart was trying to say that Nancy killed Daniel and then herself and Chris found them that way then committed suicide. I always go to the texts that he sent out about the back door being open and the dogs were safely locked up. He did all of this himself and then couldn't live with it so he offed himself too. The fact that he cushioned his own throat with the towel shows that he did it himself. No one killing him is gonna make him comfortable while doing it.

Although, if that did happen, that could explain a lot of things like the timing of when it happened and it didn’t seem like Chris was planning on doing it days before. Whatever happened that weekend most likely came up on the day Nancy was killed. I don’t believe Daniel killed Nancy though.

This is my theory I don’t think he was framed just because he called Chavo after the murders saying his family had food poisoning I think his wife and him got in a ugly argument Chris murdered his wife his son prob saw what happened scared Chris thought I have to kill him now too so he kills his son after doing all that he stays alive for 2-3 days not knowing what to do out of guilt and shame just ends his own life.
