How are liking it? I just bought one with a 2018 Les Paul Tribute. I prefer the green settings on both channels. Anyone using the bigger footswitch yet? I heard it was available now. Thanks for the video.
I love this new DSL40CR, I think it's the most versatile good-sounding combo amp for its price-range! John congrats on that cool new gear, I hope you have lots of fun jamming! :D I ALSO have: a BlackStar HT40 (the DSL40CR blows it away hands down - no competition). I have a Peavey 6505+ 1x12...the 6505+ is a kick-ass sounding amp too, but it's NOT as versatile as the DSL40CR, but it IS great for metal (BTW the Tone Controls on the DSL40CR are WAY more responsive than the 6505's Tone Controls). I have an EVH5150-III 1x12 Combo that sounds better than ALL of them...but it also costs twice as much. Anyhow, I'm loving the DSL40CR....it sounds great with both single coil or humbucker pickups....great sounding clean AND overdrive channels. No, I don't have the six button footswitch...not worried about getting it just yet. Turn the Master volume all the way up (or as high as you can get away with) for a better chunkier sound, if it's low the amp sounds kind of fizzy (some may like that sound though). I would choose the DSL40CR 1x12 OVER the 6505+ 1x12 - but like I said, the 6505+ is a good amp too, it doesn't suck.
Brian Ewert The speaker I put in has more low-end “thud”, and feels like it has faster attack. The V-Type sounds/feels slightly “spongy” compared to it...not a bad sound, just not what I wanted. I just like the fast attack “feel” of the speaker I put in, nothing more than that. :)
What song are you playing at 8:04?
Didn't see this til now. I'm playing something that I made up.

just wondering why you pulled the speaker, don't they (the dsl40cr) come with a celestion V already?
