I'm not familiar with that model mower so I can't say for sure. Might also depend on how heavy the grass is that you are cutting. If everything is adjusted properly and sharp I would think it could handle it at least in moderate crops. You won't know until you try it.
No. I use my 40u in my vineyard all the time. 5ft mower moving slow in 1st gear is about right. Each implement will be rated by the manufacturer for hp needed. Don’t use an implement over 20 hp. You will hurt your tractor.

May I ask what model mower that is? I picked up a Deere #9 this past spring and it mounts similarly on the lift arms.
The mower is a model #39. I see several #9 mowers at our local tractor show, but this is the only #39 that I know of.
