I’m a local and been riding it for over 2 years now and still cannot go the speed you were going. The local elite are wicked fast, like flawless almost, but man for only riding it once before you can tell that you are at pro level riding. Beautiful to watch the flow
I agree! One summer I was hitting that trail 2 or 3 times every week, and I dont think I was that fast. I thought you edited it at first. Amazing the be this fast the second time!
i'm a local, and i hiked the that trail going up to the peak, semis, and egales. it's a really fun video, and the speed you are going is crazy to me. I only done rides on the other side of 68
Great video and awesome trail. That's in my back yard. I ride the Seaside side of Fort Ird mostly. Need to get over to Pipeline. You need to get North and ride Santa Cruz.
great fucking video man. I like how you run through your entire downhill run with no cuts/edits. Your commentary is the cherry on top. I’m starting to make videos of my own and I’m definitely going to try creating something like what you have going on. Keep it up man, this style of video can seriously help out loads of people with unfamiliar trails
Damn those lifts to creek would get me! I need to make a note of this trail to not hit any jumps. lol Those were sketchy AF especially when you said you don’t really know the trail and going at that speed. 😳 Nice video and awesome ride! Thanks for sharing! 🤙
Jeff, thanks for taking me on the ride :-) definitely an exciting and Scenic descent. I wonder how much of your brake pads were consumed on that one? What was the total elevation loss? Make sure you change your pads out before your race.
the next time you come to sea otter go to Fort Ord Salinas side off Reservation rd it's also off highway 68 and ride the goat trail, trail 41 you'll like the downhill
This trail is more of a trial that will punish your poor decision making for attempting it with anything less than a JL skill level.....if ur not Black Diamond certified--> STAY AWAY
@@JeffLenoskyTrailBoss The fact ur 6-4 makes ur vid all the more impressive.....I'm 5-10 and hit my head twice. Fact is that mountain biking is becoming mainstream and that trail is NOT. It's rated Black Diamond when a Double Black designation is more accurate. Flow Trail in Santa Cruz was much more enjoyable due to its more moderate construction.
Not a double black no way. The only thing that makes it a black is the exposure. There are no mandatory features on the trail. There is no very steep sections. I’ve ridden double blacks and this doesn’t come close. You need sack up my friend
@@Justcruzn831 Yeah, I agree. That's absurd he's comparing it to a double black. Anyone who has seen a double black will know this isn't even close to it. In fact, a black line is questionable too.

Oh man, If I were to ride this trail blind, I would definitely end up in the creek!
First time riding that trail man I fell down a creek so bad
@@faze_liqify_4765 same bro I fell pfff the bridge over the creek
That was a sweet trail, Salinas huh. Who would've thought it. 👍 👍👍
100% making it a point to go ride this trail Thursday or Friday! Oh my god that looked fun!
Adam Vanwinkle definitely Try to come to the bike build on Thursday or one of my rides at Otter If you can!
I WILL be st the bike build! I’ll check in with you at the festival to see if I can join in on a ride with you
Awesome! My rides are 11 am Friday from Vittoria. 3 pm Friday from Orange Seal and 1 pm from Wahoo on Saturday.
Jeff Lenosky cool man! Do I need to sign up anywhere?
The corkscrew hairpin switch back! I could ride trails like this and never get bored! I love climbing too
i'm a local, and i hiked the that trail going up to the peak, semis, and egales.

Joaquin Bridges I know!! Try to join me for a ride this weekend!
Jeff Lenosky I'd love to. I'm pretty busy with my kids baseball. When and where you riding?
Wowsers!!! That looks super fun!
wild ride guy…dida 🙀 at 7:27 with that skid near the edge…
Just rode Pipeline… trail crewed me up. Great riding, you made it look easy.
Did that exact route last year after a checking out Sea Otter. Pipeline is a really fun trail and it has to be after that climb.
Awesome trail, basically smooth with dips, drops, jumps, creek crossings. That's my kind of riding.
Smart to have pre-ridden the trail. Dam those branches were low. Great video.
In Morro Bay riding on my way up to Sea Otter. Going to try and make time for this one while I'm up there. Good stuff Jeff!

I live here and u definitely hit harder than I did. Dope jumps too. I’ve just done it a Hand full of times tho
Sweet ride Jeff. Heading there in June with bike, hopefully won’t be too humid to ride it.
Trail looks great! Enjoy sea otter
This looks Fun AF I need to move to this trail
Such an awesome trail! I got a chance to ride it a couple of weeks ago.
Damn that trail looks fast! Great video and great riding as always!
Finally made it to Pisgah! Learned how to do the Pisgah shuffle. Bennett Gap is legit. keep up the great videos.
Dude this looks legit. Flow for days, but the exposure would make me nervous going hog wild down this thing without knowing the trail.
James Stoup that was definitely the sketch part.
Its not that bad.
Nice sweat drips on the climb... looks like that downhill makes it worth the work!
Pipeline is definitely local gem. Ride 'Airplane' trail too, it's legit radness in Toro park
It's all about marks canyon an airplane for sure. I never take 1800 up I'm a toyon climber it's just faster.
Very cool trail after a brutal climb!
That trail looks unreal!!
It is!
My home trail!
Yeah you can't beat Toro park out here anything else means a good drive to Santa Cruz for the next level of fun.
Damn those lifts to creek would get me! I need to make a note of this trail to not hit any jumps. lol Those were sketchy AF especially when you said you don’t really know the trail and going at that speed. 😳 Nice video and awesome ride! Thanks for sharing! 🤙
What A Ride - Well Done
Cheers
Travis Reed thanks!!
YO...WORD..:D always killin it Jeff
mikieson thank you
Great video Brother! Thx for sharing
Super trail 👍😲
Still living the dream I see !
That trail was a dream!
We started building the trail in 2010 and it took nearly 2 years to complete the basic trail.
Jeff, thanks for taking me on the ride :-) definitely an exciting and Scenic descent. I wonder how much of your brake pads were consumed on that one? What was the total elevation loss? Make sure you change your pads out before your race.
Definitely going to check this out this weekend but daym riding this trail blind would definitely land me with a few broken bones haha
Man, that looks like a nice trail! I'm chomping at the bit to hit some flow trails after riding Sedona and Phx all winter ;)
Excellent footage of an ideal location. Were you riding with clipless pedals? It would seem appropriate given the XC qualities of the trail.
Dude that’s my backyard.....sort of👍👍
Awesome trail! 👌
is that climb doable with a 10 speed ?
Amazing trail!
Is that as smooth as it sounds?
a couple months ago you did an assembly at forest grove/my school
Man I wish I could head up to Sea Otter 🥺
Come back and go bro! Just don't ride. Might not be good for your healing :)
@@JamesStoup I don't get back from Costa Rica until the 14th. I will be good to go for whatever the next big event is.
I live here, do you live here or are you just visiting?

Looks like one of our trails here in Hawaii
Are those strictly bike trails? Or do you have to worry about hikers and cows?
Pipeline is a downhill only trail but the cows have been know to be on it and you can find hikers on there as well.
First song? It's awesome
Niccolo Defendi-cho I’m not sure. Ask Siri. She’ll tell you won’t she?
Hey Jeff! The footage looks great. Are you using a gimbal on this? What camera are you using?
sweet!
Yeah, I rode it for the first time in June. It is fun trail, but there are more technical trails around the Santa Cruz and San Jose areas.
Nothing more satisfying than a good old fashioned sweat squeeze from your helmet
great vid
e-bike baby
Jason I wish I had one.
Nice 👍
Nice! Super nice!..well, maybe not that climb.
As of this date of 8/20/20, Toro park is on fire. Just a heads up.
ugh, hope everyone stays safe
@@JeffLenoskyTrailBoss thanks Jeff
Wow it’s been that long? Toro just opened yesterday and I’ve been riding it nonstop!
I'am from salinas
Awesome!
North shore section at 4:15 looks a bit dodgy.
It’s a shame this trail is currently closed due to the fires back in September 😕
Ok I was ducking watching the video......maybe a habit at 6’2. Lol
there's some real low trees
I live in toro park lol
You need an Ebike 😄
Rewatching this and just want to warn any would-be riders: don’t be going too fast and getting airlifted out of there. Happens from time to time.
I'd hate to be flying down this trail and run into a hiker!
Had that happen a few times. Thing is they aren't suppose to be on that trail.
helmet sweat grossss !
