I thought that too but i think i understand why now. I know a lot of people think it's because more people will watch it if it's PG 13 rated and Sony want more money from it but let's be real. No one cares about an r rating. Everyone who were gonna watch the movie if it was PG 13 rated were also gonna watch it if it were r rated.
But back to why it makes sense the movie is PG 13 rated. Now that we know he's gonna be in the MCU it would be so underwhelming to see him in a PG 13 rated movie when his previous movie was r rated
@@sigridmflclfmd1662 I thought that too at first, but that’s exactly why they should have gone all out while they still could. A Venom movie featuring Carnage, with no connection to the MCU was their best and last chance of doing something like Logan and Deadpool. They’re stuck with the MCU rules now so they can’t anymore.
Venom and Eddie's nickname is "lethal protector", which is the name of Venom's first solo comic
something I like is how carnage was holding Frances and Cletus during the breakout and immediateley attacked the guards like "GO AWAY, THEY'RE HAVING A MOMENT!"
There are 3 differences between the movie and the comics:
- In the comics, Cletus has no emotions. he is a completely ruthless person.
- In the comics, Cletus burned down the orphanage when he was a child, killing the other orphans.
- in the comics, Cletus got the symbiote when he and Eddie were cellmates. Venom went in search of Eddie and joined him to escape, but a piece of Venom remained in the cell and mixed with cletus' blood, creating Carnage.
More differences Shriek and Carnage were never a couple. They were just close prison mates. As you mentioned, Kassidy doesn't have any attachments.
Kassidy's childhood is different. He did push his grandma down the stairs. And he did throw a haird dryer in the bathtub but the mom avoided it and Kassidy missed. She had tried to kill Kassidy. In spite of this, Kassidy's father nearly beat the mother to death.
Carnage and Kasisdy are way more compatible than they are in this movie. So much so that original comic venom couldnt stand a chance and needed spiderman to help beat him.
@@Shaye.J they were so compatible in the comics that we can't even differentiate between Kletus and Carnage. They had the same mind and emotion. Even after Kletus' death, Carnage acted as Kletus too.
@@exknight39 To be fair, they weren`t perfectly compatible when they first bonded in The Comics either, it was only when Carnage bonded with Cletus` bloodstream in "Maximum Carnage" they started to develop that "perfect bond" as well as experimenting with the Darkhold removing the weakness to fire and sound as well as restoring the Carnage Symbiote`s memory of it and its host`s original role as apostles of the Symbiote God Knull.
That wasn't piece of Venom, it was newborn Symbiote, Venom spit out Carnage's seed as they escape. All Symbiotes in their native state are black with white symbol of Knull on chest. But Carnage became red because: Venom was disconnected from Symbiote hive at that moment. Carnage's seed fall into Cletus' blood, rendering him red.
All future offsprings of Carnage and Venom had different appearance because of the absence of Hive mind and influence of Earth environment and Humans. But all native Symbiotes on Klyntar are black and white.

In my honest opinion, Let There Be Carnage was a great follow up to the first film! The humor was still there, it was very thrilling, especially with Carnage wreaking havoc, and there was plenty of action for my taste. And that post-credits scene though, that got me hyped for No Way Home!!
Agreed I think it's a great follow-up I watched for the first time the other day and just like with the first film there was a lot of things I liked but also things i really didn't dig in regards too writing and some creative decisions. But after seeing the first film a few more times I've enjoyed it more more I'm sure I will with the second one I do feel like there was a severe lack of focus on the villain in this film I feel like he wasn't even a threat too the public nor really having a mission other than cletus's girl, and I think the Cletus and Eddie conversations as well as Carnage scenes could have been written and shot a bit more serious and given a more dark tone .and Carnage didnt even meet Venom till the end but the fight was cool and I like the Gwen Stacy reference from Amazing Spider-Man 2 that was a awesome shot and it took something that little too form my opinion on me liking this film just a little reference like that.👍

I think Carnage should've been in the movie a lot more, and I love the end credit scene it gives me hype.
I don't think Venom actually killed Carnage by eating him. Contained him, maybe. Symbiotes can do that. But funny thing is, Venom with Carnage contained inside of him moved to MCU Universe. And MCU Universe might aswell have it's own Cletus ( i hope it will be Jim Carrey! ), and Carnage could be very very attracted to him. And we might see the duo again.
Just like in comics, original Carnage was nullified within Cletus body, ripped away by Venom, almost died. But he's been brought back by assimilating another Symbiote from negative-zone.
Venom wants to be a hero and the news talked about Spiderman killing Mysterio and framing him as the bad guy, Venoms gonna go after him thinking hes doing something good.
Fun Fact:The opening scene is set in 1996 because that`s when "Maximum Carnage" happened in The Comics(Where Carnage and Shriek were major antagonists like in this film) and also when the notorious NES and Playstation One game adaptation was released.
I personally liked this movie more than the first one, even though it has more problems. It needed more carnage (literally and metaphorically), and the whole breakup just to get back together agian felt kinda forced. On the other hand I did like how the plot felt more focused and it was obvious Tom Hardy and Woody Harrelson were having a blast playing these characters.
It's a perfectly serviceable B-movie. I was entertained, and to be honest that's all I want from a film.
Carnage benefits physically from his victims due to him being fused to Cletus' blood unlike Venom who fuses with Eddie's nervous system. Carnage grows larger because of my theory that since he's a blood born Symbiote and the blood of his victims increases the extent of his abilities which makes him able to conjure more tentacles weapons and a lot bigger than Venom. I think Venom only grows more intelligent to brain consumption but since he already ate Carnage at the end, there's a chance that Venom could finally conjure sharp weapons of his own.
I really like the movie! Loved Venom and Eddie's relationship. Carnage was cool, and I was genuinely worried he would beat Venom at some points. Thanks for the reaction!
In the comics the detective gets his own symbiote called Toxin so that shot of him with the different eyes where he says “monsters” is 100% setting up toxin if they do another Venom movie
My two gripes with film are that there should have been two fights between Carnage and Venom, and Venom should have explained why Carnage being red scared the shit out of him otherwise it was a great film
The biggest problem for me in this movie is Cletus' and Carnage's relationship. In the comics they had perfect symbiosis, probably the strongest bond out of all the symbiotes, so much so that the Carnage symbiote acted like Cletus and Cletus' blood was fused to Carnage. Dispite that I enjoyed the movie.
I expected Carnage's voice to be almost like Joker's

After watching the post credits I am even more excited about spiderman no way home and the whole multiverse thing.
For me the most unique Carnage is from Spider-man: Unlimited.
This movie is one of the best I've seen and definitely top of the movies this year after Shung chi of course. Also Carnage is terrifying as hell and in cinema the scream is so LOUD it made it even more terrifying
I found this movie absolutely amazing and personally wish that this movie was Rated R, just because how Strong, Deadly, Gory , Scary Carnage is!!! This movie could have been 2 hours if it was Rated R and could have seen more kills from Carnage!!! I had the exact same reaction when Cletus Cassady gets Carnage and how a little bit of the Symbiote can just then turned into one big Scary Chaos Symbiote!!! But really amazing movie!!! Loved the Reaction and also Detective Patrick Mulligan which was the guy hanging on the chain what I think and others think is that he has Symbiote named Toxin one of the Strongest Symbiotes to ever be Created and he's the son of Carnage but also, Mulligan could have powers like Shriek because of the Flashing Blue Eyes but we won't find out until the next Venom!!!😈😈😈🖤❤💙
In my honest opinion, I feel like this film was quite an entertaining and interesting follow-up to the first film. Yes, it wasn't perfect and I wished it was a lot longer. However, there was a couple things that I really liked about this film. The visual effects really improved in this film, the action was quite thrilling and I really liked how this film was actually trying to accomplish in this film. This sequel is meant to be the love story of how the seriousness of Carnage was able to bring Venom and Eddie Brock together to become the hero of their own story. As for the credits scene, it changes everything moving forward on how Venom will be involved and how it'll impact the future of Spider-Man and the Spider-Verse.

I watched the movie at theaters and, I really liked it ngl, it was really cool and now i'm going to enjoy your reaction:)
Overall I really had fun with the movie and cool final battle but I do think carnage was underdeveloped he’s like one of the main big bands for Spider-Man and venom that make them team up so I didn’t like they killed him off but he was still cool for what we got
If you noticed the glowing eyes of the police guy, he now has a symbioteof his own. And just like Carnage is Venom’s offsrping, he has the offspring of Carnage, called Toxin
It is a little underrated... I don't know why people hate.... I loved this movie... it was awesome.... yeah if this was rated R and the runtime was a bit more... it would have been marvellous (pun intended)

1. "Cringe" is subjective.
2. There were blood spurts in the prison break scene, yes it`s not what Carnage tends to cause in the post-Comics Code books but it`s a PG-13 rated film to allow Venom to spinoff into the MCU.
3. The characters in The Comics were one-dimensional, if anything the Films make them more layered and sympathetic.
4. The CGI was fine especially considering the COVID delays the production underwent.
5. The disco scene was straight out of The "Lethal Protector" Comics.
6. Shriek and Carnage are serial killers, not rocket scientists!

Second, you SERIOUSLY felt love in that moment from Carnage? I just felt comical anger (since it was a Deadpool vs. Carnage), nothing more

I came here after watching Let There Be Carnage for the first time ever.
Edit: Also I like the song Eminem did for this movie, “Last One Standing”. Though not as great as “Venom” (the song he did for the first movie) , it’s still enjoyable

I think in the post credit scene it was meant to say that Sony is letting spider man to be in the venom films but I don't think venom will be in the MCU, but I sure hope he does though he totally deserves to be in it.
Apologies if it has already been said, but Pat Mulligan, the police detective in the movie does have a new symbiote. He is Toxin and is in the comics as well.

They don’t need to show Gore just to prove that Cletus Kasady is crazy as well as carnage being insane in power. Some people are like “they nerfed him”

And the post credits, Yeah! Venom is now in the MCU! But sorry to say he will not join the other 5 villains in No way Home! He will probably be in the he post credits of No Way Home! And No Way Home will only have 5 villains not 6! It is not a sinster six movie! It is now pretty much confirmed. But there are rumours surrounding that Sony is developing solo movies on the Rhino, the Sandman and a solo sinister six movie! Oh! Oh! And also Sony is also reportedly planning a movie which will feature all the three iconic Spider-Men teaming up with Venom to fight the one and only Knull! If you don't know, Knull is the god of Symbiotes! He's the one who created the symbiotes! I'm really looking forward to this project! I can't wait to see how Knull will look like in live action movie, if it's happening obviously! But I'm pretty sure it will happen at some point! And also the studios are also probably planning to continue Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield along with Tom Holland's Spider-Man universes after NWH! Which means Spider-Man 4 and The Amazing Spider-Man 3 will also probably happen
The venom movies leave out a lot Eddie backstory which is such a shame. His story made him a compelling character. Eddie Brock was raised in a strict abusive Catholic house, his mother died in child birth leaving him with an angry resentful father.(Cletus mentioned this in the movie)
Eddie thought he gained his father's approval by catching a serial killer. But Spiderman caught the real calprit which resulted in him getting fired and his wife leaving.
And another kick in the nuts Eddie developed cancer and thought of suicide.
Then he became venom and developed a hatred for Spiderman as he channels his years of anger and abuse onto him.
I loved this movie I saw it twice in theaters! 😍
I didn't like this as much as the first one BUT, I did get to watch it in the local small theater so I had a hell of a fun time watching it!! Great reaction, as usual. 😁 I'm curious how they will tie this to Spider-Man. In the old comics Venom spent most of his time trying to reconnect with Spidey, so I'm not sure how this incarnation will work. But I'm excited to see.
Also (and this is mad knit picky), but another way the entire ending fight felt uninspired is how we’ve seen the beats in several other films of our time. Like, how you said “oh we’re not Gwen Stacy’ing her,” referring to Amazing Spider-Man 2.
The part where they attempt to trick the viewer into think Venom and Eddie are gonna lose during the finale (while they’re pinned under debris), is basically the same scene from Spider-Man Homecoming.
The fact that they’re fighting in a church and the bell is a hindrance to a symbiote was something we’ve seen in Spider-Man 3 (Raimi).
None of it felt “new” at all, which further makes me wish they woulda did a little more with Shriek, so she could have helped Eddie or even laid the both of them out and ran off at the end. Instead of being used as a fight prop.
That after credits was exiting…
They should make two new television shows that’s based on American dragon jake long and the life and Times of Juniper Lee called Venom and Morbius starring Hank Azaria and Nick Jameson.
A Symbiotes Offspring will always be stronger. and the Cop now has the Toxin Symbiote which is stronger than Venom and Carnage.
How come Carnage never even wrote his name on the wall with his own blood during the prison escape in the movie

Can’t believe I’m saying this, but I’m actually kinda disappointed with the movie. It felt like they were scared to go all in on the dark tone. I think Cletus and Carnage were good but they didn’t really do much with Venom. I actually got…Hallmark movie vibes from Venom’s part of the story. He felt kinda corny compared to the cold, head-biting alien he was in the first movie. I guess I wanted more of that rather than comedy in a movie called “Let there be carnage.”

The carnage nerf was necessary for this movie. In the first film, Venom wasn't that strong so making Carnage the same way he is in the comics, then Venom would've been killed
