- Former Roc-A-Fella Records Founder & Executive, Damon Dash has been ordered by a judge to hand over his 1/3 ownership shares in Roc-A-Fella Records to satisfy an $823k judgement, as the result of a civil suit brought against Dash by movie producer, Josh Weber.

“AFROTECH had previously mentioned that the dispute between Damon Dash and Webber began in 2016 after Dash was fired as the director of the producer’s crime thriller, “Dear Frank.” At the core of the dispute were the allegations that Dash was unfit for his position. Weber claimed in a since-deleted Instagram post that Dash was verbally abusive to staff and often high on set.”
Dame couldn’t just show up and do a job without his trademark mistreating people getting high. So he was fired… After he was fired, Dame made reckless and defamatory statements that led to this lawsuit that he lost (as usual).
