Dawless Jam - TR-8S | Nord Lead A1r | LaunchPad Pro Mk3

- Did a little dawless performance yesterday at the New England Synth Meetup. Came home and captured it with a simple rhythm pattern as background. I'm learning the TR-8S now...and this piece will get refined and the drum part changed in the future. I'll update when that happens. :)
There is no processing of the audio here. I need a few things for the dawless rig (EQ, etc...) sorry if the mids are a bit harsh.
Enjoy!

Will have to see if I can plug this into an Sh-d4
It should work well. Just assign the sequencer track to specific channels.
yeah..."performanc"...typo I know. ;)
absolutely amazing jam, Luke... love that lead you play on the LPP 🙂👍
Thanks Andy.
Great to see Mr. Synkrotron here, too!
Great work as per usual! I'd love to see this as a live performance. What was the thing you did right at the end? Looked like a push step sequence?
The grid is a Launchpad Pro Mk3, I use it for playing and moving through the song sections. :) thanks for listening!
Well done! Was it going through any daw, like Ableton?
Just to capture it.

Nice job … liked how at the end your lead playing slowed and became more expressive …
Trying for a melodic statement instead of popcorn flying all over . :)
Nice portable DAWless setup, great jam Luke!
Thanks Jeremy!
Love it. It makes me want to check out your videos on playing on the grid.
Thanks Dan. :)
so much effort really !
Thanks. It’s very fun to do!
never seen so beautiful playing on pads .
I find the trick is to remember to play fewer notes. :) I sometimes fail.
Is there a Discord for the New England Synth Meetup? Or some way to find out more about it?
Yes! Here you go. :) discord.gg/rvjESAP6

A very happy song, and you know how I love to see the LPP in action, so extra cool this one.
It’s a great minimal compromise. I might do a video on it alone.
@@synthseeker Using its sequencer connected to hardware is a joy.
Hardware chads rise up
No clue what that means. :)
Fun! Seem like a nice combo
It’s a very immediate sort of configuration!
Very nice, boss!
Thank you!
Love this!
Thanks! Much appreciated!
Thank you for the inspiration to try something. My ears also thank you.
You are so welcome! And thanks Wabbit.
Gneiss one Luke!
Thanks!
Will have to see if I can plug this into an Sh-d4
You can. It comes either way a TRS to DIN midi adapter.
@@synthseeker nice, I see the mini and the pro, but not sure what the difference is in terms of simply using it to play keys?
@Xanaduum only the pro mk3 has midi out directly to hardware.
Also not that the mini is not velocity sensitive. It's not really for playing notes, it's more for controlling clips. @@Xanaduum
This is awesome!
Glad you liked it, once the drums get built out it should be even better. :)
You bass patch is solid! Great gear setup. Lovely jam!
Thank you kindly!
