XPS computers are the best bro. That proprietary stuff isn't there.
Yeah when I get a xps system I get so happy to caseswap it
Good Job!
You earned a sub from keep up the grind bro Im doing this for my first pc thinking of using the same case as I have no idea which case lol
I appreciate it man, most of the cases I use are linked in the description, so watch any of my vids and find a case you like!
Nice vid
I have an extra xps from 2020 and would love to flip the case, but I heard XPS have custom MB mounts is that right?
is that pc ddr3 fliping more like ripping the fuck off lol nicely done
What about installing a newer model PC motherboard in a Dell case without adapters?
Yo I'm mad early. LETSSS GOOOOO!!!!!
Appreciate itttt!!
I don't know if this is a good deal but I got gtx 780ti for 90$
Any gpu under $100 is a good deal as long as it’s not super old
@@ElijahsLab no way you respond thx
Hey, I just purchased an Alienware Aurora R12 to replace my old Dell XPS 8500 that I've had since 2013 and has served me very well. This video made me want to return the Alienware and flip my trusty Dell XPS!!
Not gonna return my Alienware but I'm still interested in flipping the Dell XPS. The one you bought for $200+ looks exactly like mine. Was yours an XPS 8500 as well? I'm a bit confused as to how you made it compatible with modern components or did you literally just case swap only, meaning, you didn't alter the type of RAM from its original DDR3s? Also you're shown cleaning off some thermal paste from the CPU socket on the motherboard...did you exchange the original CPU for another? What are the limits as to what CPU a motherboard from an XPS 8500 system can accept? My XPS has an Intel Core i7 3rd Gen. If I remember correctly, the CPU on yours was an Intel Core i7 2nd Gen., yes?
I'm guessing the gaming performance was helped tremendously by the impressive graphics card on that unit you bought. Mine came with a much smaller and cheaper graphics card; an AMD Radeon HD 7570 which has been good for my needs over the years as I'm not a gamer but that enormous, two-fanned GPU really made a great deal into an incredible one!
I'm not even joking, I had been seriously contemplating upgrading my XPS 8500 and wanted to avoid buying a new system since my Dell has been such a good computer for so long and is still highly capable and useful but gave up on that after reading up on what it would take to do that and seeing lots of limitations and was thus discouraged. Had I found this vid prior to getting the Alienware, I wouldn't have bought the Alienware. This was exactly what I had been wanting to do but found it only after making the new comp purchase. Ah, well. Thanks for this inspirational video. I'm definitely gonna look into doing this with my old Dell instead of trying to sell it or trashing it if nobody wants to buy it.
*Liked.
Definitely upgrade that dell xps. I love dell cps system they are the only prebuilt that I have found where you can easily case swap and really transform the build! I’m glad I was able to help man
Did you need a fan controller to plug in the original Dell case fan?
Hooked on your channel mane
one has a zeon in it
and the rest where like i 3s and a 15s
@@mattdoestech971 an i15? Nice 😂
i hope u hit the 1k also try doing some gaming vids they might get u more views :O
We are getting there!
I recently got a HP Prodesk 400 G3 sff for a bargain. Do you know where I should start looking in order to get information on how to case swap it ?
If the motherboard isn’t proprietary than it should be easy! Good luck
@@ElijahsLab old hp prodesks are not proprietary
I really love the vids im ganna be swapping my dell optiplex 790 do u think the motherboard would fit in that case if there the same size?
Yes
bro half of the case peel was off screen 😢
I will improve on it next time
@@ElijahsLab it's okay, you did your best
How did you connect the fans? Did the dell motherboard not have a proprietary fan connector that was 3 pin instead of 4 pin?
They were a 4pin I believe. Nothing proprietary about it. I love it
glow up!
yooooo im early asf
I’ll give you a early reply!
*me drops like on the video* Whats your user on fortnite xd

THEY WHERE ALL OPTIPLEXES
@DShael Dorcent I give up my caps was on and I cannot spell
Dude, didn't you pay $200 for the PC and and buy more stuff on Amazon?
i think you overpaid for the pc, I will get some old HP from my friends dad's office for free and case swap it, water cooler, gtx 660 and so on.
(I want to sell it for profit btw)
In my humble opinion I got a steal on the pc, it turned out great and still got a good amount of profit
I clicked on the video thinking you were a girl putting together a PC.
