Rounding out the diversity of nightlife that is 11th Street in San Francisco's SoMa district is DNA Lounge. This venue is like a Harvard grad student with multiple personality disorder- it's got a different musical genre of party on any given night of the week, except it does each type of party exceptionally well. Monday nights it hosts 'Death Guild' - an industrial-gothic-electronic music night that's been going for a decade at least. Other nights you'll find death metal, LGBT parties, Bootie SF (a pop culture mashup party), and more EDM geared music on the weekends.
It's obvious a place like this has all the bells and whistles: incredible sound system, lights, multiple rooms, gogo dancers- but what we love about DNA is the feeling of community it gives us. There's a party for everyone. No discriminating or hating. The staff is all super friendly, and there's even a page on their site that archives DNA party fliers dating all the way back to 1985. Additionally, there's a 24 hour pizza shop that the club escorts it's patrons through on the way out (Exit through the Gift Shop anyone?). It's details like this that make DNA Lounge more than just 'some club', but a fixture in San Francisco nightlife culture. Whether you're a local or only in town for the weekend, we highly recommend checking out 🔊💿🎉🍻🍕
