Sasaki Umiquema so true XD. I get up at 8am school starts at 9:30, then school ends around 3:40pm for me. 7-8 hr of school. I go home and do hw in like 1-2 and watch videos and play games lol.
In Malaysia, school is divided inyo two sessions: morning and afternoon. Grade 7 and 8 is in the afternoon while grade 9 to 11 is in the morning. My school starts at 1 and ends at 7

We then had dinner and we went for night prep which last from 8-11
Well this is not some sort of braggart about myself but i want to share that as an asian student like me, I usually study 2 to 10 hours and more. Since I'm a honor student frankly a first honor, which is a total stress and pressure.🤦♀️

you know this feeling when you usually stay at school until 3 pm and you're always complaining about how tired you are, but here people are studying the whole evening and it motivates you to study even harder actually that's how i feel about this video
That has nothing to do with motivation that system fucks them up changing them from humans with interests into a bunch of wierd robots who study the whole day thats not studing that is slavery
korea is such an aesthetic pleasing place, even studying looks aesthetic that motivates you to study too. ordinary daily things they do are so aesthetic that ud want to be productive just by watching them
strange that you would say that, because when i was in any other country than korea i felt that everything was so aesthetically pleasing! i guess we all become a bit numb to the beauty of our surroundings.
ri nu ~~ I agree, we usually tend to look for something different and new that we find thrilling, forgetting to appreciate what surround us everyday. But I also understand that it’s quite okay to get bored sometimes. Maybe we should try to find balance. -from Italy
@@rinu216 it's because ive never been to any countries except philippines and i only watch daily life videos of korea. Ofc i watch other videos and i find each culture beautiful in their own way, im commenting this because it suits the video.
This video is fiction I studied less than 6 hours a day but I entered a collage of medicine I scored korea SAT top 0.5% and no one can study over 14hours a day especially if you're still a high school student.
Me: *Barely wakes up at 8 and rushes to school* Me: *Jumps out of the building as soon as it hits 3* Me: *Goes to sleep as soon as I get home* Me: *Complains about failing* Rinse and repeat all year round.
Korean school: My school: *screaming, throwing chairs and tables everywhere, dancing on the desk ,runnning around the classroom* *Edit:* thank you for 200 likes
Me staying 4 hours at school: "I am STARVING." "I think I am dying." "I think I got the flu." "Wha-? I am sorry, I was sleeping" "Why do I need to go to school? I mean, I would be able to survive under bridges" "Do I really want to become a surgeon?" "What time is it?" "How much is missing at 1pm?" "No seriously, I think I am sick" "please let me go home" "I wanna die"
@@lifeisbeautiful6071 ahahah I am from Italy but staying 4 hours in school is really the exception. In highschool (it can change by the type of school you choose) you go to school from Monday to Saturday, from 8 am to 1 pm apart two days per week when you have to stay till 2 pm, or even 3 pm if you have special projects or you are in the last year and have to do the "Maturità" exam (a big last exam that give you the diploma) . BUT - even when I stayed at school for just 4 hours my reaction was that ahahah 😂😂
you stay at school until 11 pm?! the regular class in my school stay until 12.45 but on thur fri sat my class stay until 3 pm and still complain about how tired i am. no wonder you guys are genius.
Han Kim I live in Vancouver, BC and my Daughter’s school start at 8:55 to 3pm. All the schools don’t have the same start time and some schools do stuff differently.
HEROndale Girl I'll get used to it but after 1 month of not going to school(holidays) I will not get used to it and I will be like a new student for first few days or even 2 weeks
I'm in dorm in a korean high school, and we should study until 11 pm. And half of students study til 1 am or more. I study til 1 am about 5 days a week, but my score is actually good enough for going to universities in seoul. And im gonna try harder. This video was not exaggerated, and there are lots of student who study harder.
I have so much respect for you guys. I think this is a true example of hard work pays off, which is why South Korea is one of the smartest countries. But it is crazy that you guys have to study from 7a.m.-11p.m., I hope it changes for the better.
MinYoongi'sSwagAndJimin'sSmolHands Lol my classmates just threaten each other during class. Thankfully most are always away to go buy/steal snacks from the store near the school between classes, so we else are free of them
prince aharwal You can either dig forever with a spoon, or get the job done with a shovel. The point of studying is to learn, and finding the most efficient way for you to learn is key. Staring at a book for hours is not usually as effective as, say, making brief outlines of key points and focusing on what you need improvement in.
My school starts at 8.15 and ends most of the time at 1.30 and I am still like "when the fuck is this shit coming to an end"😂 i really don't know how these kids spend the whole day at school
😢I think this is insane and sad. Youth is a very short period of time and you should enjoy it too. I have nothing against good education. Don't get wrong. In Finnland they have a very opposite education culture and those students are the best in europe.
I think Korea is one of the top countries with suicides because the people study and work a lot and they get stressed a lot. Japan has a crisis too where young people are not dating and having kids because they care more for school and work which is good but you know, everything in moderation is good, too much of something even if it sounds positive can be bad. I heard a lot of good things about the school system in Finland, I would love to live there but alas, I don't know the language and I suck at learning languages...
i know everyone says the school system is good in Finland but idk, teachers have no control over students and there's bullying happening here in Finnish schools, i've experienced it. also; most of the students aren't motivated to learn anything, but i guess despite all that something is done right since Finnish students are rated as the best in Europe.
For those people who says they want to attend Korean schools, just keep in mind that these guys take their education really seriously. Most Asians do. That's why we have that 'smart stereotype'. Be prepared to get stressed and tired because homework is probably 5-10x harder.
I've always found that very interesting actually, in Korea and other Asian countries education is a top priority right? However, after high school or university, a lot of Asian students transfer to schools in the U.S or U.K. There's a stereotype that western countries don't take school as seriously, in which I agree, but why do these top preforming students with high ambitions transfer to our schools when their universities are supposedly top preforming and exclusive? I'm not saying this to sound rude or ignorant, I'm just honestly confused and interested in this.
@Hannah Serra This is because it’ll be easier to get a job in that certain country (US or UK) if one graduates in a school from there because of the different requirements in certifications and such.
"These guys take their education seriously. All Asians do." When I'm part of the 1% of Asians that don't really study and procrastinate but still get passing grades so I don't have to repeat a year. At least I'm partly apart of the "smart stereotypes" 😂😭😭 I never noticed how sad I sounded till now...
it may sounds weird but i actually want a school life like yours! It seems really hard tho, but since i tend to procrastinate a lot, i think staying at school during that amount of time, would change my habit and maybe i would start studying more...and also, i love that "studying room" that you guys have, here in Italy we dont have anything ugh ç_ç
oddio stavo pensando la stessa cosaaa! pure io faccio sempre tutto all'ultimo momento,, AA però sto cercando di migliorare~ concordo in pieno con quello che hai detto!
+Chaelin Park lol I'll try to translate it :3! omg I was thinking about the same thing! I always do everything at the last moment but I'm trying to get better,, I totally agree with what you said!
They study every day like this? I don't understand how this is legal or healthy. What about enrichment activities (sports, music, art, theater) or having dinner with family? How do they get a full night of sleep? Are they going to be okay?
redesiscool In terms of dinner, its usually late at night, or at a 7/11. Its 100% legal, and 학원 (hakwon or tutoring college) run till verrrry late, usually past 12. In Daechidong (where i go to school), everyone doesnt do any sport. TL;DR, it sucks but not too much
redesiscool The students are clearly not okay they are stressed, unhealthy, depressed (if they get a bad grade)... because of that the suicide rate in south korea is one of the highest
To be honest, I wouldn’t mind going to a korean school, because i can actually study with out distractions. Although i might hate it so much i think it might be good for me. Like here we can stay after school for tutoring, which is only an hour long. After that, unless you’re in sports, you have to leave and they will kick everyone out at 6 (my school is from 8:30-4:15). I usually don’t go to tutoring since i can’t get a ride home but taking a school bus, i usually get home around 5. And i usually have so much to study but while i’m at home i can’t since i have tremendous amount of distractions and my family makes me clean and cook dinner leaving me with very little time to study.
Hahaha so true. Usually no one hang out in school after school ends. Even if you do, sometimes the security guard or a teacher will ask why are you staying back.
Well technically, WE AREN'T STUDYING. WE ARE CRAMMING INFORMATION THAT WE AREN'T GOING TO USE FOR THE REST OF OUR LIFE BECAUSE WE ALL HAVE GO INTO A UNIVERSITY. You wanna know the real reason we are studying so hard? Grades are based on how well you do compared to others. So even if you got a 95 in a test, if everyone else also got a 95, you have a low grade. This is why tests continuously gets harder. It's a broken system. I just took a Language Arts test yesterday and I had to read passages about biology, economics, engineering etc. Why? Cause it's simply written in the Korean Language. You wanna know how they make the tests harder? Just simply make the passages longer so it is harder to finish the test in time.
It's not really about how much you're studying, it's about how efficiently you are studying. Studying through rote memorization without making any useful connections to what you already know is extremely inefficient. With the right techniques and mentality, one can remember way more in way less time.
@@seasons1146 idk if you’ll read this 😂😂 I mean it’s way u perceive things, exam season is really tough time given to all of us, so would advise you to focus on yourself and finding new hobbies or activities u like do to, it can be anything, there is no right or wrong answer when it comes to a persons activities. Coming form a student,
Korean students suffer from stress and academic burnout. The funny thing is that SK. does not need any more highly educated people. What they need are more vocational graduates. Most university graduates have a hard time finding work while vocational graduates find work right out of vocational school.
Greek school system sucks almost as much as the Korean one. I really like learning, I do, but not when I have to memorise 3 freaking books by heart for exams that will determine my whole future. It's unfair that our brain is filled with useless information that we won't need in our future. Why don't we learn how to do our taxes? How to vote properly? How living on your own works? This is not education, this is pure torture. We're wasting some of the best years of our lives when we could enjoy our youth instead. It's unfair that we have to choose what we're going to do with our lives at freaking 17. Here in Greece students black out right before the exams, they faint and many try to kill themselves because of the stress. I don't think any of this is worth it and I believe that if we all speak up something will eventually change. But nobody does.. :(
That sounds really bad :( I'm sorry, and I hope it'll get better eventually 💛💛 You just need to stay strong until then, even if it can be hard. I believe in you!
You are lying.
It seems you live in North America, because here in Brazil is much worse than you can imagine, even in good schools the students don't care about studying
I've been watching this video since 2016 when I was really motivated to study English and Chinese . And now in 2019 , I'm watching this video again because I need a motivation to continue studying those languages again :3
Well it's true this kind of studying results in good grades in the world when koreans are adolescent but as koreans get older we usually don't make a remarkable outcome than we did in the past... because we lack of creativity and real passion for the subject. so i think it's very inefficient and useless...
Ohmygod I would never. I don't even touch my backpack when I get home from school and then i get the answers for my homework right before class. Yo I don't study at all I just cheat sleep and eat.
I am watching this video from India and it is very motivational for me because Korean students have so much pressure of studies compared to Indian students but it is very difficult for a student to study whole day.
J K my desk...actually I don't have a desk for each class we have to go to a class room each a different class per subject and we sit where we want bit I go to a troubled school so what can you say
It probably differs by school but yeah lol. In my school th we use tables instead of desks bc they're cheaper. Our school gets some of the most moeny from the state based on size (it's smaller but we get more noney per student), but we're still in a poor county. Tl;dr Those are nice desks but I wonder if all the schools are like that? Not being rude but genuine question.
Alwaysoft my school use desks and they are trahsy af. Cheap af. And have pen all over and chewing gum (nct) all underneath. Oh yeah and my school can't even afford pencils for the art department 😔😂😂😂
Dan Allen nice XD a lot of schools are like this now 😞 My teachers have to pay out of their pockets for a lot of stuff, but usually not to that extent O.o
I study at a private school here in my country but we don't have desks like on the video. We use armchairs instead to fit 55 students in a room. We could barely fit a book on our armchairs and our bags are hung on the front chair or placed on the floor. We also have no lockers so we have to bring everything including our pe clothes to and from school.
Korean schools look fun :) Here in singapore its boring af and we arent allowed to stay in school to study because the school gates close at 5.30 lol. Speaking truthfully it'll be fun (for me) to stay up till night at school. I'd also enjoy the facilities such as dormitories because i hate my home :(
and i forgot sth, the cold weather! im staying near the equator so theres either Sun/Rain. which is pretty boring. Snow looks fun. I've been to korea before and the food there is delicious affff ☺ I wish to go there again😋
Tangent of circle. Oof, tough. I've switched to homeschooling for my final few years, and before (US kid here) i mostly did the gifted (aka advanced) and honors (you can't really take advanced placement classes for your freshman year). I've found it nice that I can study but not feel burdened by deadlines as much. I hope everything goes well for you!
Joey Serenitywarfare Have you ever realized that the more hardcore the educational system is, the better the country is as well? I mean, the best numbers of development in Asia are in Korea, and that’s because they are learnt to work hard since they are kids. It’s not good for you and for your country to be chill, and your comment embarrasses your people.
@@joaopedrotavares4068 I mean it's true tho, here people really just Chill like crazy. I mean we don't take it soooo seriously. We have like a healthy balance between studies and sports or hobbies. It's important to have creativity and intuition in a nation as well, not just solely education
Joey Serenitywarfare Yeah, I agree. I live in Brazil, and in my school we are used to have no interaction time, but we also have the best numbers in our SAT. If we had to focus on sports or creativity, our numbers would be lower. Actually, i think it depends on what u value the most. At the time, I think I prefer to study hard, because here in my country is SO difficult to go to a good University, only the best of the best can pass.
I used to be like this when I was in high school. Studying + School Organizations, it's so tiring. Sometimes I only get 2-3 hrs of sleep. But now I am already in college and I think it is easier compared to HS. 힘내세요! 😊
their classrooms look so confortable, mine have chairs and tables who are too short, our legs are literally crammed beneath the table. and they can go to school with blankets, I wish
Jimins Booty i also have to share tables, and it gets pretty bad, since we don't have much space! i also went to a school where i used uniforms but not anymore, now we're free to wear whatever we want although we have rules about clevages, showing a certain amount of skin...
I can't even concentrate on studying for more than an hour, but these guys are at school for more than 16 hours a day..... Mad respect for Korean students, they truly are hardworking and dedicated!
wow you guys have a lot of stuff on your desks and around your chairs lol, im the type of person who cant work properly if theres too much clutter on my desk lol im surprised at how you guys can still manage to study well
Chaelin Park hahaha it looks like youre already office workers or something (with the amount of stuff that u guys have) hope you're not feeling too stressed about school lol
Imagine if the korean work ethic towards school was focused on more practical knowledge like learning how to start and run a buisness. These kids could be the CEOs of milion dollar companies at 20
It seems like Korea isn't very fond of startups and such. I've only heard of a few students trying. They see it as easy to fail. But those are the ones that make the most money, sooo....
I love this! Getting to have a glimpse of school life in a different part of the world from where I am. I'm in Ghana and I think I should make a video like this to get rid of some stereotypes about African schools Edit: if anyone cares, I made a Ghanaian version of this video :)
***** that's awful! I'm here with AC in my dorm room and classroom, a smart board in my classroom, washing machines and dryers in my dorm rooms - please, these stereotypes must stop!
Izzah Zakaria oh I'm definitely considering a vlog but I might have to get permission first, also I don't have a camera - I can manage with my iPad though
I can't wait to see if you finally will do vlog. Yes, it quite hard to do a vlog in some schools because we need to get permission first. It's okay girl, do your best and change those mentality about African Schools. I'm from Malaysia :))
ive always been amazed by how they take everything so seriously like in our school we barely even do self study lmao and we dread to stay in school, most korean dramas i watch is like this, school romance and all that, theyre always so serious on studying so much to go to a good colleges
See, I really want to be like these students. Obviously not studying until 11:00PM but I often find myself daydreaming in the middle of class and rushing to leave it. I'm going to start having an attitude like those in Korea, work hard, study hard, get a good job, retire, then relax. Thank you for uploading this video, I really enjoy learning about other peoples culture!
This video makes me want summer to end so I can start going to school again 😂😂 Korean students are so hardworking! Now I want to start studying 🌸 Motivation ~
And I thought I was hardworking smh. I’m here going to school at 7am and leaving at 5pm (2hours after school finishes) when everyone is out of school. Respect for you guys for keeping up with these insane timings at school :)
Diana Babii Diana Babii You seriously need to search more about North Korea. In North Korea. You'll get slaughtered if you say one thing bad about Kim Jung un. Less than one percent of population of kids in North Korea can go to school.
I met a Korean guy in my Calculus class, we became friends while we were together that semester, He goes to a different University than me now, He was a genius and one of the nicest guys I have ever met.

Wow it actually wasn't that boring. I really appreciate you sharing this vid. If the USA was more structured with kids studying I'm pretty sure more high schoolers would be ready for university:) thanks again for sharing!! After watching this is really miss HS T.T
I wish to see another video like this one :) and maybe another video where you explain a little bit more of koreans school life?? do you use uniforms? Maybe a tour of the building. Are all classes hard? What are your tips and tricks to A+ a test? Or your study routine?? This one is silly 😂 but i like staring at others school supplies, do you think you can make a video about korean school supplies??
Chaelin Park Oh i see, then maybe videos about university life :) On another note, Congratulations!! So happy for you! Hope you enter your dream university :D
like typical class have more than 20 people in it. like i'm not sure, just estimating. ya. awesome video. thanks for sharing. i live in malaysia and also did vlogs.
Well for one, most of the students at my high school would never even dream of staying at school until 11:00pm 😂 I like that though, you and your classmates are so hardworking but do also have time for fun and laughs
I really enjoy watching korean students study vlog because they are so productive and i get a lot motivated by them... I'm currently preparing for my college entrance exam(which is in 2026)..i really hope coming back to this video after my selection 😭
Omg I really wish for you to get good grades and successful at high school. In my country Saudi Arabia we don't study very hard like you, we have a long vacations and many times to rest.
This video helped me get a better understanding of studying in Korea. Actually, your video was interesting, it was not boring like you say in your description. I am from the United States and seeing High School students like you, or your friends study after 3 p.m. is unbelievable--I really respect you. In our country, we barely do homework! No one will ever stay in school studying after 3 p.m. But you go until 11 p.m. I know there is a high stress-level and suicide rate in Korea because of school, but I still respect your dedication. God bless you, Pak Chae-lin.
Lol we dont get to stay in school until 11, we usually reach home at 8pm. It's not much of studying but rather completing authentic tasks and assignments (until 4am lol)
They will usually be in arts schools and they only attend when they have no schedules. But this can be bad for them because they might not have enough attendence for the year and miss exams, causing them to retake another year.
Hyejin Park The sad part is ... if you don’t have enough money to go to an arts school like SOPA and want to be an idol then you quit your studies Some idols are lucky the company supports their studies and pay the tuition in SOPA and they have more flexible schedules but those cases are rare
I'm glad even during studying so much they do have fun with friends ..don't even wanna imagine about korean kids who don't have friemds might be too hard for them with all the pressure and no help :(
Also, I've been studying Korean and how to write it. Tough AF, but I'll keep pushing forward. My goal is to one day write a Korean novel. And school in South Korea may be tough, but look at that. Those students find happiness among all that suffering. Playing with snow. Laughing. That is beautiful.
Daniela I'm not sure about Korea, but I live in NC (USA) and if we don't give a medical reason for being out we can get in a lot of trouble. If we miss 10 days they will threaten to take you to court if you don't have a medical reason for all those days. If you can't give a reason you will actually get taken to court.
uh yeah, here in US they take attendance very seriously, you can even fail the year if you miss school many days without a valid reason (like health problems)
In high school I played a lot, but in college I study so much like this. I’m an American and my college day goes like this 9:30am - wake up 9:30 am - 10:30 am - make food, eat, get ready 11 - 5 classes 5-6:30 dinner and hang with friends 7-1am study in library (sometimes w/friends) 1am-3am study at apartment 3:30am- wash and sleep And repeat 😩
people are surprised about how late they stay, im more surprised that everyone is actually studying
Ekalavya SAME😂I'm so surprised at many other things

Watching them makes me tired

The point of studying is to learn, and finding the most efficient way for you to learn is key. Staring at a book for hours is not usually as effective as, say, making brief outlines of key points and focusing on what you need improvement in.

I heard a lot of good things about the school system in Finland, I would love to live there but alas, I don't know the language and I suck at learning languages...
i know everyone says the school system is good in Finland but idk, teachers have no control over students and there's bullying happening here in Finnish schools, i've experienced it. also; most of the students aren't motivated to learn anything, but i guess despite all that something is done right since Finnish students are rated as the best in Europe.
sugaryseokjin why do they bully others?
tammylovesmakeup I don’t think they have a specific reason, children bully the kids who aren’t ‘normal’.

Hannah Serra maybe easier to get better grades
@Hannah Serra This is because it’ll be easier to get a job in that certain country (US or UK) if one graduates in a school from there because of the different requirements in certifications and such.
"These guys take their education seriously. All Asians do." When I'm part of the 1% of Asians that don't really study and procrastinate but still get passing grades so I don't have to repeat a year. At least I'm partly apart of the "smart stereotypes" 😂😭😭 I never noticed how sad I sounded till now...
Hannah Serra no hate, but because the university in China isn't as good as the universities in U.S.

TL;DR, it sucks but not too much
Same in China, now I am in USA
redesiscool It's hard but we are use to it. I am in middle school and I study untill 3am a month before the exams..

Even if you do, sometimes the security guard or a teacher will ask why are you staying back.
yeah its sucks
kvtsuki sounds like it'll suck tho

I study at a private school here in my country but we don't have desks like on the video. We use armchairs instead to fit 55 students in a room. I'm curious about where you are now. You must have graduated a long time ago
Sameee it’s been 6 years knoowwww

Imagine if the korean work ethic towards school was focused on more practical knowledge like learning how to start and run a buisness. These kids could be the CEOs of milion dollar companies at 20
CookieBush36 fr😂
Is it truly something good ?
CookieBush36 in what world do u think everyone being a ceo would work out?
It seems like Korea isn't very fond of startups and such. I've only heard of a few students trying. They see it as easy to fail. But those are the ones that make the most money, sooo....
Well..in korea, young people rarely do startups because if they fail, they would become loser and might not begin again forever
I love this! Getting to have a glimpse of school life in a different part of the world from where I am. I'm in Ghana and I think I should make a video like this to get rid of some stereotypes about African schools
Edit: if anyone cares, I made a Ghanaian version of this video :)
***** that's awful! I'm here with AC in my dorm room and classroom, a smart board in my classroom, washing machines and dryers in my dorm rooms - please, these stereotypes must stop!
i want to see ur school
Izzah Zakaria oh I'm definitely considering a vlog but I might have to get permission first, also I don't have a camera - I can manage with my iPad though
I can't wait to see if you finally will do vlog. Yes, it quite hard to do a vlog in some schools because we need to get permission first. It's okay girl, do your best and change those mentality about African Schools. I'm from Malaysia :))
yes, I'll do what I can, and Malaysia is such a beautiful country!
ive always been amazed by how they take everything so seriously like in our school we barely even do self study lmao and we dread to stay in school, most korean dramas i watch is like this, school romance and all that, theyre always so serious on studying so much to go to a good colleges
See, I really want to be like these students. Obviously not studying until 11:00PM but I often find myself daydreaming in the middle of class and rushing to leave it. I'm going to start having an attitude like those in Korea, work hard, study hard, get a good job, retire, then relax. Thank you for uploading this video, I really enjoy learning about other peoples culture!
twice_are_angels ღ sad life I feel bad for u
This video makes me want summer to end so I can start going to school again 😂😂 Korean students are so hardworking! Now I want to start studying 🌸 Motivation ~
Y?
Dn't u go 2 skl in smr?
No, i used to go to summer school but I stopped after third grade.
And I thought I was hardworking smh. I’m here going to school at 7am and leaving at 5pm (2hours after school finishes) when everyone is out of school. Respect for you guys for keeping up with these insane timings at school :)
everything is so cute about this video.
Jojis Dick :)
Chaelin Park Do you live in South Korea or North Korea?
Diana Babii are you seriously asking that
Yes !
Diana Babii Diana Babii You seriously need to search more about North Korea. In North Korea. You'll get slaughtered if you say one thing bad about Kim Jung un. Less than one percent of population of kids in North Korea can go to school.
This all reminded me of SCHOOL 2013 , a popular K-drama 😊 Anyone?
yasss!! Eun Byul
Same!!
Got a drama name “School 2017 “ you guys should watch it.❤️
Guys, from which site you download/stream k-dramas? I really want to watch one but I can't find it in a good quality :(
DoctorBoom♕| Plays & GFX yaaaassss
I used to be so obsessed with this video I literally watched it at least like 2-3 times a day lmao

Wow it actually wasn't that boring. I really appreciate you sharing this vid. If the USA was more structured with kids studying I'm pretty sure more high schoolers would be ready for university:) thanks again for sharing!! After watching this is really miss HS T.T
no wonder you all are so clever
This is very motivating! I admire how hard you guys study. Please upload more videos like this!
Soo Mi Han i'm graduating high school this feb 9th. I'll try to make a video soon though :)
Soo Mi Han a video about all your questions
Chaelin Park Oh i see, then maybe videos about university life :)
On another note, Congratulations!! So happy for you! Hope you enter your dream university :D
Koreaboos need to watch this 😂
It seems like they like it though 😂😂😌
yeah? i am also studied until 1 am....... cause Math and Programming Tasks are really difficult....... but i can say that i love it) idk why
For 11:00 p.m😳 that's soo tired
For us, we're going from 7:00 a.m to 1:30 p.m
Ebtihaj Alnaif we have school from 7:40am till 12:30pm😂😅 no wonder people in Germany are so uneducated lol
Exo's personal trash can I also am German and my school is from 8am to 4pm plus voluntary evening classes so it depends on the school
Misyel Min mine is 8am to 6-7pm 😣
mini mini Also in Germany? Which grade are you in?
Misyel Min nope in France and it's like that from 11 yo to idk... 18 yo (school after 18 still has heavy schedule but depends on what you study)
watched for 40 times
just addicted to watch the productivity 😉😉😊😊
Daebak
my university life became easy for me after I’ve watched how harder students studying...
My life is full of fun, indeed
Your school looks so comfy. i mean the class room. it's not so crowded like a typical classroom should be. nice video.
i guess it got all so confy because we spend most of our day at school
thanks for watching :)
like typical class have more than 20 people in it. like i'm not sure, just estimating. ya. awesome video. thanks for sharing. i live in malaysia and also did vlogs.
It's so crazy to see how the work ethic differs from where I live
+Chogiwow yeah? How different is it?
Well for one, most of the students at my high school would never even dream of staying at school until 11:00pm 😂 I like that though, you and your classmates are so hardworking but do also have time for fun and laughs
it not crazy korean student is ok for this u need too see chinese student
I really enjoy watching korean students study vlog because they are so productive and i get a lot motivated by them... I'm currently preparing for my college entrance exam(which is in 2026)..i really hope coming back to this video after my selection 😭
Omg I really wish for you to get good grades and successful at high school. In my country Saudi Arabia we don't study very hard like you, we have a long vacations and many times to rest.
It depends on what school/college you are going to! But as u said we don't study up to 11 pm bc i would die honestly hahaha
This is very similar to my school in singapore
school starts at 720
classes end around 530
and night study is 630-9pm
Im from Singapore and we dont have Night classes. What school are you from?
Julie Diana Chia JCs have night study sessions before Alevels begin but for my school, we end at 10pm.
Woah......No........Way.....
WHAT SCHOOL ARE YOU FROM?? I'm from SG too but my night study here are only for graduating classes.
And performance tasks/ oral presentation ARGHH
So how if you are a Kpop idol and still studying (about 16 - 19years old) .....like how do the Kpop idols keep up with the routine?
o...... cool. I want to go to School of Performing Arts (Sopa) so badly.
ღᗩᖇᙢY.ᐺႨᑭ Bᑭsፐαπ.OᘉርΣღ I assume they transfer or go to different schools that are specially for Singing and dancing:-)
They will usually be in arts schools and they only attend when they have no schedules. But this can be bad for them because they might not have enough attendence for the year and miss exams, causing them to retake another year.
Hyejin Park
The sad part is ... if you don’t have enough money to go to an arts school like SOPA and want to be an idol then you quit your studies
Some idols are lucky the company supports their studies and pay the tuition in SOPA and they have more flexible schedules but those cases are rare
I'm glad even during studying so much they do have fun with friends ..don't even wanna imagine about korean kids who don't have friemds might be too hard for them with all the pressure and no help :(
ur so so lucky I wish I had something like that anyway study hard !! :*
damn no wonder they are so smart
Also, I've been studying Korean and how to write it. Tough AF, but I'll keep pushing forward. My goal is to one day write a Korean novel.
And school in South Korea may be tough, but look at that. Those students find happiness among all that suffering. Playing with snow. Laughing. That is beautiful.
Wow , students in Korea really study hard . 👍👍
which is why most of them commit suicide
umm well maybe not /most/ of them though
how come you speak english so well? I thought Korean students lack in speaking skills
+Elisa Risconti Some of them knows how to speak english .
Eun K R knows
i just wanna know, do you have to give some kind of paper to your teacher as to why you werent at school the whole day ?
Daniela I'm not sure about Korea, but I live in NC (USA) and if we don't give a medical reason for being out we can get in a lot of trouble. If we miss 10 days they will threaten to take you to court if you don't have a medical reason for all those days. If you can't give a reason you will actually get taken to court.
woooow harsh
uh yeah, here in US they take attendance very seriously, you can even fail the year if you miss school many days without a valid reason (like health problems)
it applies in Korea too but I don't know about high school since I'm in middle school
yah true, i also live in NC and it is a state law to not miss class, even if the teacher was not there, attendance is taken seriously.
In high school I played a lot, but in college I study so much like this. I’m an American and my college day goes like this
9:30am - wake up
9:30 am - 10:30 am - make food, eat, get ready
11 - 5 classes
5-6:30 dinner and hang with friends
7-1am study in library (sometimes w/friends)
1am-3am study at apartment
3:30am- wash and sleep
And repeat 😩
You are working so hard, we don't call it "life"
