    My uncle is 80 years old and was a professional cyclist. He still cycles 3 hours daily and is trying to break a world record for his age. He had a heart attack at 75 while cycling towards the top of a mountain and took him almost an hour to get down and went to to hospital with chest pain. The Dr told him he had a blocked artery but due to his constant cardio through the years his heart had secondary smaller arteries that allowed for blood to continue circulating and made him barely noticed that he was having a full blown heart attack which required surgery of course. So yes Greg, cardio and cycling can not only prevent a heart attack but also save you from one. Spot on.

      I actually listen Mike O'Hearn about few reps and i basically got following workout routine from it to Calisthenics: 1 set = 45 sec. Each rep is around 3 - 5 sec. You basically pause with each rep and do Isometric Hold (Isohold). Studies show isometric exercises can help improve muscle hypertrophy, an increase in muscle cells. Muscle fibers thicken, creating more muscle mass. Isometric holds require full body activation, especially from your centre. Between each set you rest around 1 min 15 sec. And then you repeat. I aim to workout at least 1 hour everyday so i do only 3 sets and i do 3 exercise per muscle group. So In total i do 9 sets per Day per muscle group and within week 21 - 63 sets.

    • @MikkoSimila
      @MikkoSimila 11 місяців тому

      I don't know if you can do this with heavy weight at the gym, but with bodyweight workout Isohold is golden to strengthen the body and adding muscles, in addition to cardio what i personally do when weather allows it.

    Narcissistic personality disorder is found more commonly in men. The cause is unknown but likely involves a combination of genetic and environmental factors.

Granted, most people quietly go through their lives deluded harming no one but themselves; but people like O'Hearn believe that might makes right, so he can spread misinformation in a loud and confident voice with impunity.

    Impossible, Mike O'Hearn is quite possibly the most natural man to walk this earth. Infact, I bought his cookbook (Far better than Coach Greg's) and now I'm crushing (female) competitions, I've been doing so well in them whenever I enter I immediately win, and get a personal escort of five men to guide me like the natty VIP I am. Following his advice to ignore cardio gave me more time to lift and take his special (100% plant based & natural) supplements. And due to the tobacco and drinking I feel amazing! I completely recommend not following this guy's advice, this "Coach Greg" figure is clearly geared out of his mind, and has been juicing since 2010! A complete random! Unlike daddy O'Hearn, who probably hasn't even touched a needle in his life!

Your cookbook and your advice on diet has saved my hunger and sanity. I starved myself and didn't do any cardio, only doing weight training. Just because some elites say to do or not do something doesn't mean it should be done. People make money off of other people not being healthy but what they don't understand that the more people that stay alive for longer the more money each person could make and the economy will get better. Eat what you need to survive, do cardio, and lift weights. You will live so much longer and feel amazing every day.

    Having been going to public gyms for 15 years and being in the army infantry for 7 years, it's kind of ironic he says others have a weak mind yet cardio requires more mental toughness than weightlifting. From my experience, it's generally much harder to get someone to do cardio than weightlifting, that's due to cardio being more mentally and physically taxing. Typically people who talk down about cardio are just digging for excuses because they don't want to do it themselves.

      I agree that it's more physically taxing but unless you're doing hardcore cardio it's the complete opposite of mentally taxing. Ask anyone who goes for long jogs everyday, they'll describe it as almost euphoric like a drug. Fresh air and changing scenery going on a adventure. Where as working out you're standing still/sitting down and usually indoors. I think cardio isn't as popular because people are doing it indoors on treadmills or other equipment.

That's not to say you can't enjoy things that are also bad for you, but it's all about our overall lifestyle that keeps our body and mind in as good a place as possible. If people want to drink and smoke everyday that's up to them, but I'd argue that their overall quality of life for however long they live would be better if they didn't do that.
