On todays show I discuss finally getting back to work after the lockdowns and what the experience is like. Are you working full time again what has your experience been like back playing in front of people again. Or are you still in limbo because you aren't allowed to dj in front of people yet.

New York we are back in full capacity no restrictions since beginning of June.
from the U.S. (Chicago) I personally am slow going back, but a lot of things are opened with few to no real guide lines. I try to seek out responsible vendors, who seem to care. others are acting like this thing is over and we back, fucking scary.
did one gig when it first opened. nothing after that. but then again i am a part time DJ, my day job is where i pay my bills. i did give away some of my weddings gigs to full time guys coz i know this is what puts food on the table.
So it looks like we’re good to go back to normal next week in the UK 🇬🇧 19th July.
I have gigs booked from August - December so I I’ll let you know how they worked out.
Has the UK been going back on their word about when things would open?
Be honest, I never stopped doing gigs and worked all through the pandemic...no..I'm sorry, I had 2 weeks off last year in March...beyond that, I worked my day job and dj gigs almost every single week.😰🤭😢✊
I will also add, I took off a 30 days in Sept to Oct cause I caught covid (now I'm vaccinated)...so, I wouldn't recommend others follow in my footsteps..I just had to make my bread to pay bills.🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
Where is this?
@@charithasirimanna5033 all in the tri state. NYC, Philly And Jersey.
@@djshortefromphilly So they were not fully locked down? i thought they were lockedown the most.
@@charithasirimanna5033 yes but I was deemed essential for some odd reason. Note: shortly after I caught covid-19, I quit that job.
@@djriblat5388 luckily, I didn't have the respiratory kind...just aches and pains all over my body for 10 days straight with no let up. Also immense weakness and weight loss of about 13 lbs...I would wish that on no one...yes, I was consistently worried about dying...all I could do was try my best to sleep, go to bathroom and watch "wack" movies...I was confined to my bedroom and upstairs bathroom so I wouldn't infect my wife, niece and nephew. If its a flu, its a super flu cause that crap put me out of commission. I was crawling to the bathroom and bed. 😰😰😰
