- Violence ran rampant in Chicago over the extended Fourth of July weekend. Mayor Brandon Johnson was out of town until the evening of July 5 on a personal trip, but he said even though he was gone that does not mean he wasn't working.

Hey, not every black chicagoen voted for him, I did a write in vote thank you, and a lot of people who voted for him are white. Your comment is racist, the majority in Chi is White. As for the violence, yes, and changes need to be made in the black communities, where nobody cares. I live on the Northside, you don't see things as bad, why, because these communities are seen and responded to. As for the Mayor, a piece of crap.

2) Have Streets & San to use derelict vehicles to block off streets in high crime areas.
3) Immediate housing for homeless Chicagoans.
