- The stars of FOR ALL MANKIND join Jon Stenvall to take you backstage with the AppleTV+ series set in an alternate reality where the USSR wins the space race.
Featured in the interview are actresses Jodi Balfour ("Ellen Wilson"), Wrenn Schmidt ("Margo Madison"), Krys Marshall ("Danielle Poole"), and Sonya Walger ("Molly Cobb").
Season 2 of FOR ALL MANKIND is now streaming on AppleTV+.
Synopsis
“For All Mankind” explores what would have happened if the global space race had never ended. The series presents an aspirational world where NASA astronauts, engineers and their families find themselves in the center of extraordinary events seen through the prism of an alternate history timeline - a world in which the USSR beats the US to the moon.
Season two of the space drama picks up a decade later in 1983. It’s the height of the Cold War and tensions between the United States and the USSR are at their peak. Ronald Reagan is President and the greater ambitions of science and space exploration are at threat of being squandered as the US and Soviets go head to head to control sites rich in resources on the moon. The Department of Defense has moved into Mission Control, and the militarization of NASA becomes central to several characters' stories: some fight it, some use it as an opportunity to advance their own interests, and some find themselves at the height of a conflict that may lead to nuclear war.

This show is a masterclass for well written women characters. It avoids shallow ‘Strong Women Tropes’, with characters who are strong in different ways, complex and flawed. Molly Cobb starts off as unlikeable, but grows on you as the series progresses.
lol wild. i thought wrenn was doing an accent and i thought sonya wasnt. thats quite funny
Lol. Sonya’s actual accent threw me off. Molly Cobb sounds so natural. She’s great.
So cool to try and re-write history!
Wow, what a great show.
Fiction, you know what it is? The show never even once acted like it was portraying any real historic moments
Sonya Walger is such a total woman and babe. Love her as an actress.
Wait Wren is not doing a accent for Margo 🤯 totes for mate was doing that accent 😳
Wrenn's from South Carolina so she's already got her accent going ;-)
nice!!
Wow I think that’s cool 👍🤝
Spoiler alert - I am very disappointed in the slanted season finale for Season 3. Two very strong women with great stories to play out which would be very uplifting for women to watch are killed off (Karen Baldwin and Molly Cooper). This seems so typical of the movie / film industry that you would kill off female characters who can have a more nuanced and intriguing story line, and none of the men. Not even either of the incredibly creepy and tiresome Stevens brothers. To my mind either would have been a slam dunk to axe because there is no real dimension to either character. They are both self-absorbed and one dimensional and no longer add to the narrative. This decision once again marginalizes the role of women in an otherwise more balanced program. Too bad you did it.😟😐
This show is woke AF!!!
Don’t do that. Don’t ruin this show
Watch John Wayne then ...
It's not. You're just an insecure idiot
I'm hearing far too many limey accents to b ecomfortable here
There is only one.. (Jodi Balfour is South African)
@@nikjoh06 Still too many!
