I had the joy and pleasure of owning a 69 Cutlass Convertible . Bought it after working a summer on a pig farm out of Salina, Kansas. The best of memories!
I still think Jay should have a 442 only showroom with every year they where made, Jay is probably the most knowledgeable person concerning these cars. The sound is iconic, great purchase!
Jay this car is absolutely BITCHIN!!!!! Even without being a 442 it still has all the goodies. Love that motor sound, it's healthy & nothing like that Olds hi-perf sound!!! Kudos
Here's one that needs absolutely nothing! The colors (perfect for the era), the stance, the motor, the 4 spd and great highway gears. Jay spoke well that somebody is going to be very happy with this car. Kudos to the builder ..... Fantastic work!
We've heard that feedback from many. I won't say it will never return, but we don't have the manpower & time to do that for every car right now. I could see us doing it for some cars, here & there in the summer when the weather is nicer.
Thats basically a better looking GTO convertible ( in my opinion), just beautiful sophisticated lines, I was sad when Olds folded, I had a 74 Cutlass Supreme with swivel out seats and a powerful 350
Jay, I think you should include in your videos a mention of the shops that do these restorations. Many of us don't know where to go and reviews on the Internet never seem to mesh on the many shops. When you see a good one like this, and many many others you show, we want to know.
I have a 71 olds. supreme convertable, #350 Rocket with the highway Trans in it. I have been dumping money into it for the last 10 years. I love my car, I have loved the cutlass modles since I knew what cars were. Actually my neighbor growing up had/has a 69 442 convertable with the same color paint job except she has black factory racing stripes on the hood and trunk. When I first purchased my convertable it was primer grey from body work and my son whom was in 10th grade at the time said it was ugly and he would never be seen in it. After I got it painted and a new top on it of course he asked if he could take it to school one day. I was leary but he is a good driver and kid so I said ok. It turns out one of the home coming commitee members asked if we would be willing to carry the king and queen in the parade his sr. year and of coarse he was so excited because now he is the coolest kid on the block. The school of coarse had me drive it due to insurance regulations through the school policy which they covered my car while it was involved in parade which I thought was nice of them but the driver had to be 25 or older. My son rode in passenger but the smile on his face was priceless. So I asked him if he remembered telling me how he would never get in the ugly car LOL. Just one of the greater father and son moments Along with oldsmoble of coarse. If I had the money this 69 would be in my garage too. It's just beautiful, unlike my wife the car never says NO, you just turn the key and she purs down the road.

I’ve seen this comment from you before.
So glad these cars, as limited as they are remain to be available. Some restorations are just of the top perfect.

Wish they would go back to someone test driving the cars. Loved that
