Graham was a Wesleyan Methodist minister and song evangelist who helped establish and expand the Holiness movement in the South-especially in South Carolina and Georgia. He was a prolific composer and lyricist. His hymnal Songs for Jesus went through at least six editions. Feeling that these songs were gifts from God, he refused to copyright any of his work so that anyone could freely use them.
