Being able to take the panels on and off easily without tools would be better as one would be more likely to regularly check oil, coolant etc. I know these are more reliable than the old Lambretta but would be good. I wonder why RA didn't adopt the GP easy release or even better ( in my opinion) the ext handles. Road regulations maybe? Great video, thankyou.
great vid tony. noticed you got chrome strip stuck onto side panels . what is the top piece ? tape or wider sticky protector ? great idea to keep rubber on.
Hi, Nice video and an alternative solution. Not sure if this makes it any easier. But I guess the flooglebinders are a good idea and concept, especially the locating pins for the front fixings. I lost the nut on one of my front 10mm bolts and it never budged, so just locating pins are probably ok and the nuts and bolts are probably not required. However, the side panels are always under tension due to the poor alignment, so that probably helps keep them in place. Not sure if SSF do an alternative for the center fixing, the one that goes through the side panel? My 2021 USA RA GP150 is like that , so that would obviously have to be different. I didn’t see these on the SFS website? Thanks again. 🛵
Not on the newer models for sure, but apparently the older gt models were more of a pain. However, the advantage of these is you don't need any tools! So if you broke down you can quickly remove the side panels and, for example... check the spark plug cap hasn't come off.

Yes, the old style panels are much easier.
Very helpful Tony ✊🛵
Glad to help

Yes, it's just a wider stick-on chrome strip. Thanks

It's definitely a good idea and quicker, the other advantage which I didn't mention was that you don't need any tools.
Nice camera work Tony and a good mod, where did you get all the chrome trim from mate, I think it's a great look
Just sticky back trim off Ebay. Cheap and easy lol
I ordered some and they never turned up. So after looking at pictures I just bought 4 bike seat post quick releases and its that simple
Yep. That's pretty much it.
Just wonder if good old "wingnuts" might be ok.
Think you'd still need a spanner on the other end but it's a good shout.
These mean no tools are required.
dont really see much benefit for the extra cost
