That reel looks super smooth and the tight seal is best for any good reel . Thanks for the promo .

Absolutely Great Video. Happen to fond it looking up " fishing reels "
I find seals a false sense of security. I have a Penn spinner fisher ive had since I was 19 years with the same original parts. And it didnt have one single seal or saltwater " approved " part. Its all aboit maintenance is what makes or breaks a durability of any reel.
I personally stopped looking at the drag pounds of a reel years and years ago because 9/10 times most people won't go over 1/4 of the drag pressure. There is only one exception is when fishing cover ( i.e. docks , mangroves ) you may get close to locking the reel down but even thats rare too.
That all being said. I love my Shimanos and I love my Osprey Ce looking forward to getting the CE pro. But if i had to pick one over the other as far durability , strength and materials a reel is made out of. I take my Shimanos hands down every day.

FFP makes decent reels but pricing it higher than the Shimano Stradic is insane. The Stradic is a better reel overall, definitely smoother, will last longer, and is 15% cheaper. FFP need to price this CE Pro at $200. I’m sure it costs them less than $100 to make.

We appreciate your feedback! But the CE Pro is lighter, has a better drag system, and is better sealed than the Shimano Stradic FM. We reckon the CE Pro is in the Sustain category at a Stradic price. We have Stradic guys switch every year that have been blown away with how much longer our reels have lasted in saltwater. And we were Stradic guys ourselves who specifically fixed issues (that frustrated us) like silent drags and noisy roller bearings when developed our reels.

@@FloridaFishingProductsI appreciate the honest response back. Is there any way I can get one to test out? I’d rather not shell out $260 for an unproven reel and there’s no shops around me that carry them.

@@FloridaFishingProductsI will respectfully disagree. The ce pro is more on the Stradic line but more money. More bearings don't mean anything. You can have a 7 bearing reel be smoother then a 15 bearing reel. Where the bearings matter is where they are placed on the reel. For example putting bearings in the handle knob don't do anything for the reel. Don't make the reel smoother.
Also the Stradic has a one piece handle , one piece bail , no screws to very little screws on the outside of the reel.
That all being said. Using my FFP osprey next to my Stradic. You can feel the difference between the 2 hands down especially the material from China vs Malaysia. The China material is well known in all markets rather it's Fishing , furniture , tools and so on for being the cheap/ not as durable/strong.
Like I can feel my osprey having slight play / flex while fighting a decent fish vs the Stradic where it feels more solid no flex. Now this can be 1 of 2 things or both.
      1. This could be because of the multiple piece handle on the osprey
      2. China made material
      Or both.
Definitely DEFINITELY recommend making your next reel have a one piece handle. Which I believe will eliminate this feel.
If you wanna go weight all someone has to do is grab a daiwa ballistic or Shimano Vanford and that drops below any FFP reel on the weight dept. And both can be bought for under $220
Finally the line roller going bad is old news. Shimano has fixed this issue over 4 years ago. Plus a line roller bearing is literally the one part of the reel that's going to have the most contact with water day on and day out regardless of what " seal " is put around it. This is for any reel including yours. Bearings cost pocket change to buy and 5 mins of time to replace/ fix.
Easy fix for this is to add a thicker grease to both sides of the bearing before putting back together. This makes another make shift seal as well. So double the protection.
That all being said. Love my Shimanos love my ce osprey but ffp has a ways to go before trying to compare themselves to Shimano.
There's a reason they are the big dogs in the fishing world and why the Stradic is probably the #1 most selling inshore reel on the market

@@PeakeFishingif you like Shimano and daiwa definitely check out the Japan market. They sale the same reels as the USA but you get them for at cost for the price hike that most countys do.
I just got the new Stradic FM for $152 out right and the new twin power Fe for $325 out right
Now mind you the Stradic here in normal stores in the USA runs $219 to $239.99 plus tax
The twin power runs $449 to 469.99 plus taxes.
I haven't bought to many reels from the us in the last 4 years. Save sooooo much money by going through Japan

I’ll have to size it up to Daiwa Ballistic MQ. Looks nice.
