If you're chasing a more 'serious', and incredibly powerful song, have a look at Brothers in Arms. Originally by the UK supergroup, Dire Straits, it's a moving arrangement that highlights the vocal talents, including the singing of beatboxer, Adam Rupp.
And another beautiful classic is the Gospel hymn, How Great Though Art.
Enjoy the ride, ♥️ from 🇦🇺

Welcome to the a capella rabbit hole. There are some wonderful groups out there, and Home Free are one of the best. "Helplessly Hoping", "Sea Shanty Medley", "All About That Bass", "Ring Of Fire" (which features Avi Kaplan, the bass singer from Pentatonix--two basses Ior four dropped balls, if you will) for the price of one), "Champagne Tastes (On A Beer Budget)", "Fulsom Prison Blues" and "Brothers In Arms" are my recommendations. Two other a capella groups I think you'd enjoy are Pentatonix (I recommend their cover of "Hallelujah", "Daft Punk Medley", "Bohemian Rhapsody", "Dance Of The Sugar Plum Fairy", and "Run To You" (an original song of theirs). And finally, a third group called "VoicePlay". If you like the deep bass voice singers, you'll enjoy VoicePlay. "The Oogie Boogie Song" (from The Nightmare Before Christmas), "My Mother Told Me" and it's Viking sequel "Valhalla Calling", "Hoist The Colors", "We Don't Talk About Bruno", "Hide and Seek (Ding Dong)", "Nothing Else Matters" and "Seven Nation Army" are my recommendations here. All of these groups have had member changes, so you'll see different faces from time to time, but they all sound incredible, and these recommendations give you a good place to start (and gives you material for about 19 Fridays...lol)

Loving you ladies. Lots of fun. Such a deep well where these guys are concerned. Lots of fun stuff. Lots of serious stuff. To really hear their vocal reach, try them doing How Great Thou Art or Vince Gills Go Rest High on that Mountain. The locations they shoot on are amazing too. Also they have done a bunch of covers collabbing with the original artists. They did Elvira with the Oak Ridge Boys, and American Pie with Don McLean. They will take on any genre. They did a cover of All About that Bass, and a medley of Sea Shantys. If you want to hear Tim go really low, they did a cover of Ring of Fire with Avi Kaplan (former bass from the group Pentatonix). They let him do a lot of the bass parts on that, but Tim does the very last note of the song. Don't know what your musical knowledge is but the last note he sings is a G1. Verrrry Looow. Keep having fun with it!

The song that is highly recommended NOT to watch till you are very familiar with the group snd guys is Mayday. When it comes time to watch that one you will understand why.
If you want bass and serious I would recommend Brothers In Arms

Don’t know if you recognize but the guy at the start that did most of singing was mr base (Tim ) he had longer hair earlier on.
And the guy at the very start that said omg look at her butt is Austin In my opinion he is the comic of the group but also hits some great high notes

The Home Free that you would enjoy is their cover of "In the Blood", "Helplessly Hoping", "When a man loves a woman". All are excellent. This is such a fun mashup of songs. Very cleverly done from one song to another. The talent these guys have is phenomenal. They have so much fun but the vocals never suffer. And Adam's beatboxing is on another level. Home Free was very respectful in this video about not exploiting or offending any women.

Tim was a tenor until LATE in high school, so his dropping had no affect on his sound.
Serious songs for you to sample: How Great Thou Art; Brothers in Arms (both are master classes in 5 part harmony); the "Church Sessions" version of Go Rest High (the official one has a heart-tugging video that will distract you from the music/talent); My Country 'Tis of Thee - for starters.

Congrats on discovering the most talented group of guys out there. Home Free was founded in 2000 by 2 brothers, Chris Rupp, who moved on to a solo career in 2016, and his brother Adam Rupp. Adam is a beat boxer without compare, he is able to produce a wide variety of sounds, and is a driving force of the group. Austin Brown is one of the tenors, and Rob Lundquest (the beard) is the other. Adam Chance joined the group in 2016 as their baritone, but is very adept at also handling both tenor and bass. Then there is Tim Foust. Tim is a basso profundo, meaning he can sing the very deepest bass, but since he has a 5 octave vocal range, he can also sing high tenor. During their live concerts, Tim has been known to break speakers with his bass vocals, and I can tell you first hand that he vibrated my rib cage. Home Free are a great group of guys, very friendly and funny, and they are very appreciative of their fans and concert audience. You have a deep rabbit hole to go down so enjoy the ride, and welcome for becoming new Home Fries (fans).

The idea for this medley was Chris Rupp's (charter member, solo now) and he asked Layne Stein, the beatboxer for VoicePlay (Oogie Boogie Song is great starting place for them), to help with the arrangement.

You wanted to know in the "Man of Constant Sorrow" video if any of the guys were related. In that video, no. However, this one is even older and two of the members (at this time) are brothers. The beatboxer, Adam Rupp, and the guy in the black cowboy hat, Chris Rupp. Okay, you want a more serious song and these guys can do it. Check out their version of "Crazy" (originally by Patsy Cline, my all-time favorite female singer); or "End of the Road"; oh, just check out more Home Free.

I highly recommend Workin' for a Living to new reactors because it is the current lineup, is recent enough that most of their hairstyles are current-ish, is easy to hear all the guys sing (their baritone, Adam Chance, did the jaws harp sound in Man of Constant Sorrow, but didn't sing lead and hadn't joined HF when this video was made), shows off more of Adam Rupp's fantastic "nomonica", and provides you with all their names at the start of the video. It also shows off their signature humor.
A bit of history on this one, the idea for this medley was Chris Rupp's (guy in the cowboy hat), who took a list of butt songs to Layne Stein of the a cappella group VoicePlay. Layne did the initial arrangement, then Chris and his brother Adam (the beatboxer) polished it up.

Another way of 11:04 explaining this group is they have two basses, three baritones, three tenors, five beat boxers, one "freak of nature," beat boxer extraordinaire and five extremely genuine caring, talented down to earth guys who really care about each other and their fans! 😊❤

@@wandahammons3175 actually I think it’s more like 3 basses 4 baritones 5 tenors and 5 beatboxers including that amazing freak of nature beatboxer extraordinaire 😁

Another mashup (and a really good one) is “Thinking Out Loud/Let’s Get It On” by Ed Seerhan/Marvin Gaye and the couple in the video is played by the Hound and the Fox.

You got to see their fun side with this one. Seeing them live is part concert and part comedy show. If you want behind the scenes videos they release a from the Vault video weekly that is behind the scenes of their videos.

You should definitely watch their cover of All About That Bass - and then watch the outtakes video. It's hilarious.

I'm ALWAYS looking for female reactors - kinda tired of hearing guys' perspectives - so I subscribed! I haven't checked to see what you've reacted to before, but the other acapella group I highly recommend is VoicePlay, and also their (hottie) bass guy's solo channel, Geoff Castellucci. But I do love Home Free, too. Did you say "something serious"? Like..."In the Blood" and "My Church." SO good.

A good serious one to do next would be “In the Blood”

Another fun acapella group is Voice Play. They do a lot of full costume videos.

Love your reactions, for Home Free I think your finally ready for more "ball drop" surprises. You should check out their cover of Mayday by Cam. That and their collaboration with the Oak Ridge Boys on Elvira are two of my favorites.

While these guys are hilarious in some of their videos, the music never, ever suffers for it. May I suggest "Ring of Fire" the Johnny Cash cover featuring Avi Kaplan from Pentatonix. You will see some of their creativity in this song as well as more of their talent. Keep it comin' ladies!

In an interview Chris Rupp (black cowboy hat) said this was his pet project. In summary, his sister had worked with a modeling agency and that's where most of the women were from. Since they didn't want to objectify the women, the only 'butts' are theirs. The man in the one-shoulder overalls is "Beugs" a friend of Rob's (beard & glasses) who is in other videos of theirs and co-hosts on Rob's channel (they all have channels of their own).

You're becoming Home Fries! Great reaction! If you're wanting to hear Tim's low range you should check out their cover of Ring of Fire by Johnny Cash featuring Avi Kaplan from Pentatonix, their collaboration of Elvira with the Oak Ridge Boys. Only then will you be ready for their cover of Mayday by Cam - Tim shows his range on this one!
