He certainly gives me the impression of a guy who knows his Tolkien pretty well. I think he just owns most of the props he uses and had them handy to use in the videos when he started making them. Like he has a lightsaber collection, and a Spartan shield on his wall. He knows how to accumulate things that bring pleasure to ones life. Don't need a Rolex, I want a wizard's staff!
Wait, wasn't Elrond crapping on Gandalf because it took him three hours to figure out the obvious, simple, standard password on the doors? But here he's surprised that they would use that as a password? Where's the consistency i have come to expect?
It's not meant to be convincing. The voice is enough for that. His Gimli is him in a fake beard and wig. It doesn't matter, he's representing the character and using some technology to help facilitate the effect. Not trying to create a perfect illusion of the character.
You should add subtitles for the series, it could even help you for short production afterwards. It'll help us to follow the story and your reactions to it.
@@Galadonin You have to manually add the subtitles. It takes some time. Maybe not a lot, but still. That's the downside. For something automatic you have CC already.

I used to wonder why people said Borimir is their favorite character in these, but he really does grow on you. I think i agree with them now.

I'm a non native speaker and with UA-cam's CC I understood everything just fine.
