have you considered the population factor?? assume India's population around 300 million & apply current Indian growth statistics..you will see the difference...Indian economy is growing but the population is so vast the difference is not visible on micro level

I think.. India now has to work in democrat fashion in US .. not go mad over capitalism... we need to reduce the gap of poor and rich like Iran or turkey... We need to provide food, security and hope to every individual to succeed not like US and west where they choose to shut their eye in the mad race of capitalism ...Say no to Trickle down theory of West... being happy is important in the country than being rich... India should learn good things and filter out bad from West...

BUT WHAT I DON"T UDERSTAND IS THAT THE POVERTY LEVEL IS VERY HIGH IN INDIA, AND THERE ARE A LOT OF SLUMS ETC. SO HOWCOME THESE ISSUES ARE NOT ADDRESS AS IT BECOMES AN ECONOMIC POWER.
YOU DON'T SEE SLUMS IN FRANCE, UNITED STATES , ENGLAND ,GERMANY, JAPAN, ETC LIKE IT IS IN INDIA. YES THERE ARE POOR NEIGHBOORS IN THESE COUNTRIES BUT IT'S DIFFERENT.

hainnnn..from where you get such data? How do you define middle class? Able to eat 3 meals a day and send childern to school is not creterium middle class.
Am happy about Indian growth, but still can you really justify a few million joining middle class agains farmers coming suicide? What if someone of your own takes such step due to Govt policies?
