Hi Tracie, yes I see the sponge cake, I was enjoying my cou cou while watching earlier and I missed it, it looks good! Lovely dinner, I will eat anything that you make; thanks again for sharing your lovely recipe. 😄
So interesting…I’ve never eaten Bitter Melon. My friend also grows it in her garden, so I’ve seen it. I believe she grows it for medicinal value. Great video Tracie…I love to see your garden. ❤
@@gailskitchen Good evening Gail, Okay Yes I know not many people eat this vegetable because it is really bitter. But it's good for our health if used a certain way. That's great of your neighbour. Thank you so much for watching! My garden is one of my happy place to be I will missed it when it gets cold. I know you like gardening too. Have a lovely safe weekend. ❤️🌹❤️
@@countryfreshrecipesandmore yes… I get sad when the garden is slowing down…I have been pickling peppers this past week and now pulling out the pepper plants 😔. My tomatoes are still going pretty good. I’ll be planting collards for the fall.
@@gailskitchen It's true this is the time when the plants started to dry up. I know how you felt as a gardener like myself. I am happy you got good produces and use them for cooking and storing. Our tomatoes are still green on the wine. The cucumber vines are almost dried up. Collards grow well in the fall season? That's great to know. I have a few and they are growing nicely. Okay sis enjoy the rest of the warm weather.💕☺️
Hi my Sweet friend. I am very familiar with karela. It grows plentifully in the hubby’s garden. He prepares it the same as you. I have tried it a couple of times, but my taste buds cannot adapt to that bitter taste. I am Georgia girl. My mom never cooked it. We grew up eating spinach, broccoli, cabbage, green beans and collards. I added kale to the list in my adult years. I know this veggie have lots of nutritional valves that’s good for the body, but I haven’t learn to love it. Your meal look delicious. You are a great cook. I wanted to let you know that I tried your pan seared salmon with the cream sauce recipe. It was mouthwatering delicious. I rewatched the video before I prepared it and discovered I forgot to purchase the buttermilk. It still turned out great. The hubby enjoyed it as well. Thanks for that recipe. I will prepare some shrimp using that recipe. I know it’s going to be very tasty as well. Thanks for sharing. Have yourself a wonderful weekend. ~Hugs 🌹🌹🌹
