Great job ! Love everything about it! The Galion on the volume knob is a bit much for me since the name and model number is already on the top left but, I’m sold either way
Excellent sound Thomas your efforts in developing the clean clear tone in the upper midrange area is what I like to hear. I agree with others that the volume knob does not need the logo on it and some type of mesh cage over the tubes would look better as well. Keep it clean and classic and timeless looking because it's likely to be a prized posession in the collections of future Mr. Vintage types. Looking forward to your success in your new business.
In my stereo setting ( PCM1794 DAC to EL84 PP to LS3/5A ), Class A mode sounds more aggressive, sound stage is more forward than Class AB mode. So it's necessary to adjust room treatment if hearing or feeling some pressure from speaker. It's nice to have a switchable Class A/AB mode.
Nice Job Thomas. love my Mk-2 its been a 'Beast' and having Dual Class Mode is a huge advantage over other amps Still can't get over the torque power of Bass and the overall dimensionality of Bass with just thr Mk2 i bet the Gallion is even more so Big Transformers matter ! !
I wonder if I just really like Class A in general. Class AB sounded like regular good sound. But Class A sounded magical. Is this just second harmonic artifacts, and do I simply prefer a more colored sound? Or what?
How do you think this amp would pair with a set of KLIPSCH La Scala speakers? Use them with tubes that they are shipped with or would you recommend a different tube? If so which one? Thank-you. p.s. when are you taking orders?
You can order it on www.galion-audio.com , I would recommend using TAD 6550 tubes. I would need to test it with Klipsch but I am confident it will be fine because I am still voicing the musical part of the amp and testing it on the Klipsch is one of my priorities.
@@galionaudio9146 Thank you very much Thomas ... I think I am going to order it. I was going to get the Willetson R300 (?) but, you swooped in at the last minute and stole the sale. : ). Not sure if it matters but, I was told the The La Scala speakers are VERY sensitive 105, 106 dB? Hope it is a good match. Thanks again. Good luck with your new venture
Anybody have a sub-woofer that produces a low frequency quiet hum?. It is not the sub-woofer itself (I don't think). I can leave it plugged in and powered on and there will be NO HUM if I disconnect the inter-connect cables that are plugged from my sub to my AMP. Can the AMP itself cause a ground loop? I heard a "Isolation Transformer/Ground Loop Hum Eliminator" might help? Any suggestions? I like to listen to Jazz a lot and that music can be dynamic. Even though the hum is not very loud - During quiet passages in Jazz the noise can be very noticeable. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
It will be really dynamic, punchy and airy with the Cornwalls and you will most likely hear things you have never heard before. However, it is all relative and it depends what you currently have.
Mmmm sibilants… not to my taste, it is. Bass control is good. Yet those raspy highs, we need to hear this unit at its best please. Maybe the SE version… standing by.
Only.... if they are "genuine " nos ..............one can try also 5751 RCA triple mica black plates.....you might like what you hear with the latter ....
@@galionaudio9146 Real 7025 nos are rare ! ...it's a low noise EZCC83...(helicoidal filament ...) Best ECC83's are European . ECC 808.........is another great version of the ECC83 , better than a 7025.

Here need to be more movement. More videos.
Hi Thomas, love the way your project where your passion is.
Congrats 🥂🍾

Pretty sure on the production model the printing on the dial is not there.
@@aussie8114 THANK YOU!
I have to agree on the labeling. Labeling on the volume looks cheap and out of place.
I like the branding on the volume control! KEEP IT!!!
Wow I can clearly hear the difference. Its good to have both settings so you can switch depending on which speakers you are using.
Class A sounded better, both modes sounded great, even though I suspect that Exasound DAC might be holding the amp back a bit:)
😁 LISTENING AGAIN…and I LOVE ❤️THE SOUND…of both …and the name and the 🛳 ON THE VOLUME KNOB …IMHHO…It adds to the Uniqueness of your amp 😎😍😍😍

Congrats Thomas and thank you for sharing the journey.
DOGE 10 meets WILSENTON R8...interesting. Love the vocals and detail in class A mode, and the mid bass in class AB mode.
The class A sounded better on my Vintage Klipschorns. I was surprised to hear that much difference from a You Tube recording. Nice job!!!
So happy for you Thomas. Congratulations!

😁 NOW I UNDERSTAND WHY YOU HAVE BEEN SO BUSY 👏👏👏💯🎉🥂🍾CONGRATULATIONS THOMAS
Made a preorder for the SE version and put my Willsenton R8 up for sale..this better be good Thomas man 😁
Thomas the SE needs to released in Gold. It’s treasure! Or apparently it’s a Booty!!
🤗👍I TOTALLY 💯 AGREE 😍😍😍
Thomas this is so exciting.
Fantastic Thomas ....... Keep up the good work 😉 👍
Sounds good. Slightly prefer the class A clip. A little more air and better bass.
Hi Thomas best of luck with with the Galion. Seems to be a great product
Nice Job Thomas.

With the musical profile I think this would be great with my Klipschorns. Looking forward to following the rise of Galeon!
Get rid of the excessive lettering on the amp, it makes it look gimmicky, other than that congratulations on bringing out your own amp
Mille Bravo Thomas, i'm so happy for you & Doge. great job. Wishing you lots of success. (remember me ?)
Subscribed !! =) Congrats on this Amp !!! Looking forward to more from this. =)
Oh yes super beautiful amplifier must get one,,,,, tomorrow 👍😁 oh yes love ur show
I AM SURE THIS WILL BE VERY SUCCESSFUL AND ALL YOUR EXPERIENCE CAN BENEFIT THOSE FOR WHOM HAVE THE BUDGET…and I am sorry 😞 that is NOT ME 🥺😁
Wow sounds great! I really liked it in AB class.
Me too
Me too
👍🏼 SUPER DUPER 👍🏼
Class A for the win.
Better industrial design will make this amplifier fabulous...
this is great Thomas , I was just wondering what is the breakinIN time in your opinion, how many hours? thank you
200 hours+
Hi Thomas. I live in Singapore. I would have preordered. But I can’t decide between the black normal version or the SE!!
Haha, both are good. Singapore? Love the food there.
I wonder if I just really like Class A in general. Class AB sounded like regular good sound. But Class A sounded magical. Is this just second harmonic artifacts, and do I simply prefer a more colored sound? Or what?
The lights aren't on.
Class A sounds a lot more airy, that's quite a difference that instantly stands out.
No question, Class A sounds better.
00:35. - 01:35
01:15. - 02:15
Just for A/B comparison.
Congrats
AB mode sounds better to my ears, class A bass attacks more, other than that nothing stands out, less transparency, and forwarded center image.
@0:40 I think your title card needs some work. The times are wrong. Also, you have the amp as an integrated dac.
Class A sounded much better to me. Just curious -- did class A also measure better?
I think class A measured better, have to go look at results again.

I'm looking for an intergrated to rock my Klipsch Cornwall IV’s how do you think the Galion TS120 would sound with the Cornwalls?

I'm running a Naim Uniti atom sounds very good but want more
AMAZING!! Love how it looks in black!! Please release it in black only!! much sexy!!
Class A all the way for me!! Sounds much more "complete" more body!!
The dark blue would be pretty sweet too given that it’s a nautical brand
I want mine in black....!
What's the CAD price?
About $4500 all included.
What about shipping to Denmark and our voltage? 230v
Yeah no problem.
Mmmm sibilants… not to my taste, it is. Bass control is good. Yet those raspy highs, we need to hear this unit at its best please. Maybe the SE version… standing by.
Yes the SE version is smoother but the sibilants part, I am dealing still fine tuning it now.
Any chance of making a stereo tube buffer pre-amp?
Hopefully one day.
Class A. Slightly more depth. Smooth and holographic.
In class A you can much better hear that there is sex on fire.
Any chance you can demo something orchestral and compared against the doge?
Eventually, my concern for doing that is I will take away sales from Doge.
If it does I'm sure he'll know what to do 🤭 I would be interested to hear how well gallion handles bad recordings
What are the tone controls set at? Thanks!
No tone control because in transparent or musical mode, it bypass the tone controls.
7205 OR 7025 12AX7 TUBES?

I wonder how it would sound with zu dirtyweekend, and ares II dac from Denafrips
I would eventually try it.
Class A sounds a lot better to my ears. Just make a Class A version and lower the price.
Yep !!!
