I watched an hour and a half of this and then played a couple hours of sombrero and immediately saw some monstrous improvement.
Your health pack philosophy made a big difference, but thinking about her as someone who specializes in wasting enemy resources (abilities, attention, etc.) was a really big aha moment. Bungie jump technique is also *chef's kiss*.
Now I've just got to review your advice on the sombra v sombra matchup and I feel like I can climb to high diamond.

Nice video. It's awesome seeing a different style of Sombra playstyle. Love the energy, keep having to check my playback speed hasn't increased by itself from the speedy talking.
For the editor, good job overall. Just a heads up, one point that keeps bugging me is long zoom-ins on the guy's face while he talks about something on the screen.
Ex. 2:01:57 reaction after death. Standard, no fault there. However, it keeps too long, at 2:02:04 he starts reacting to the scoreboard but that isn't shown, making us miss out on the bit.

I remember i played a game with Sombra and we lost 1st round and i typed to team chat, "remember not every sombra uses health packs" i was getting healed the rest of the game and we won

Man that game on Hollywood around 1:15:00 speaks volumes of a person who was boosted. Dude had 0 suvivor chance and just sucked. Got a pocket Mercy and STILL died constantly. Instead of playing something else he dedicated himself to feeding the other team. No excuse to be THAT bad. His normal duo who was most likely a pocket Mercy better be somewhere getting pampered because she had to be carrying him heavily.

Just I recently did my placements on Tank. First time playing competitive, although I have who-knows-how-many hours on quickplay. I won 5, and lost one because of a leaver. I like to think of myself as somehwere in high plat, with the potential to get to diamond soon, but instead it placed me at the bottom of Gold 5. It kind of annoyed me as I didn't lose a single game where it was a fair 5v5.
Anyway, great video (now it is finally uploaded) and I can't even begin to understand how long it took to edit and render.
Apparently quick play MMR is taken into account for the first set of placements of an account

Since you have helped me so much, I want to mention something that will help you. Jump spam is a bad habit in fps and allows experienced players to predictably flick to your head at the top of the arc. Watch the killcams next time you jump and die.
Playing Sombra in low rank lobby is literally hell all asking to change even tho I’ve done enough damage and they ignore the EMP entirely even tho I spammed it and alted infrot of the n I was close to the second they dared to say it was my first ugh this tiring

I might be wrong but at 10.50 I saw the mini hacked but I am not sure if it is big one only nvm the emp got it it might not count

If you plan on double dipping, take a maximum of 50 damage before you do the double dip pretty much. Otherwise you live till you're one bullet away from dying (depending on who you're fighting could change in that way)

Hacking health packs is amazing in a sombra 1v1, I wouldn’t say it’s bad if you hack them normally but it can turn into a bad habit if you constantly waste your hack on it every time you translocate. It’s just a different play style

I consistently get highest elims, get high value hacks and EMPs, but I get nutters that just don't turn around when a Moira is sucking them off in the backline
And this is in GRANDMASTER
when you come here to watch some educational gameplay but 80% of the video is zoomed in on his face, and entire sections of the game are skipped :(

Hi Questron or editor! Constructive criticism here: I think there may be way too many face closeups on what is essentailly a guide to gameplay happening in the background. His voice audio is the important part here and should stay alongside the game. The close up face cam detracts a bit as theres been several times where there is action or decisions being made that you literally cant see.
For example 21:58 you get 10 seconds of face cam, while hes relocating twice, shooting etc. 22:36 has another 20 seconds. This isnt the only occurrance and I'm only 20 mins in :/ . Thank you for putting this video tgogether though! I will be watching it fully
Great video, but I would like to point out that I think you have a bit of screen tearing in your video. I thought it was me, and maximized my overwatch and checked real quick and it was not. Not a big deal, but figured id tell you.

i love the content but i was having a hard time following the gameplay with the constant zoom spam on your face. there's a lot of benefit to seeing where and how you and your team sets up for the next fight but I cant see pathing because of the zoom

Your gameplay is good, but you should really just stop talking about the hacking healthpacks. Even in your first game, you showed multiple instances of where hacking the healthpack is the correct play. Just focus on how people should be ACTUALLY playing and positioning.
Treat the root of the issue and the rest falls into place. I hack at most 5 healthpacks per game. I appreciate the input but no

@@kingtswasey it's never unranked. We all know theyre going to place high, like there was ever any chance he'd end up at bronze and then we'd get to see a grind. Might as well just start a "masters to t500" video, like anyone would care.
And even if he did place bronze, he'd get like 100 SR per round to end up at GM in a few hours anyway.

Another massive Questron W. You convinced me to stop the just tp to healthpack strat with just the clips of you constantly bungie jumping on the enemy. I started to emulate that style and haven’t had that much fun on sombra since the hack locked abilities for 6 sec. Keep up the grind man ❤

it seems to me like sombra just helps enable your team (wastes enemy resources). So you almost do better in higher lobbies since your team needs you to carry harder in lower lobbies and enabling them doesn't provide as much value when they're bad 🤣. Like the lower rank hobbies seemed harder. Very interesting

I am not a hater, and I like to play sombra just like you, as obviously hacking healthpacks 24/7 isnt really useful in a match, but I'd like to share my oppinion with others.
I feel that hacking or not hacking healthpacks has nothing to do with what is going to happen in a match. Although I admire you for getting to grandmaster only to tell us, I have to admit that (specially in low ranks due to the supports' skills) if an enemy team has a Hampter or a Doomfist and you are playing a map/gamemode that has healthpacks in very strategic places that are near to the point/cargo/robot, it is always good to take 1 sec (as it is not a tryhard match) to hack the healthpack in order to not only prevent those tanks and dive characters to get healed and while also baiting them, but also to grant your teammates a higher chance of being able to use that strategic healthpack. (Obviously in top 500 or grandmasters, this is not that necesary because the tank wont dive alone and it is very likely that the supports can mantain everyone correctly)
Another reason to hack a healthpack is if you dont like to dive with sombra, you can always set the translocator near of a healthpack and hack it if you are always coming back. I know this is not very useful for the team, but I, for example do this as a back up near the point or not very far away from it so my healers can pay more attention to the tank and the other dps while I come back with the invisibility. But I also destroy the translocator and throw it into the air, in order to reach snipers easily and surprise them, or be above the cart for a few seconds to keep the match and survive until my teammates come (I can do this because in the rank I am, no one usually headshots me or has a good enough aim to hit me while I am in the air hahaha)
Moreover, in a match you dont need to hack enemies constantly, so I am sure there is a moment you dont hack anything and hacking a healthpack instead won't cause any trouble (unless if you are hacking everyone every 4 seconds, but in that case, I am pretty sure that some of those hacks were useless because you didnt cancel any skill/ult or you didnt atack them. As if someone could feel that distracting the enemyteam just by hacking them is useful, others could feel that hacking a healthpack has also some value)
So, in my oppinion. Although there are strategies that are more effective than others, everyone can proportionate something to his/her team (even if it is only by hacking others and cancelling them) as if it may not be greatly useful in most parts of the match, it can become useful and take an important role in some moments of it.
For anyone who reads this, I hope this comment doesnt create any hate, as it could as it is just my opinion and not everyone thinks the same, thus not being a general idea most of Overwatch players have. So please, no hating is really apreciated. Thank you
