- To date this has been my most popular video but it has been a couple
of years since it was first uploaded so apolagies if it has been seen
before but their may be quite a few who havn't seen it.
Such great times when we had lots of class's of locos to film.
Couldn't agree with you more Mike. Thanks for watching and have a great weekend 😄
Excellent video 👍
Thanks Olix and greetings from the UK. I am afraid most of those locos in the video have now been consigned to the scrap heap 🤥
Reversal of the tanks at 2:30 and the 86 leaving at 14:30, absolute gold Colin, I’ve just picked up one of those old steel coil rail freight trucks! This is a slice of brilliance, probably the first one of yours I watched,
thanks for the inspiration 👍👍👍
Darren 👋
Cheers Darren and thanks so much for the kind comments. I'm amazed at this video over a couple of years has gained just short of 10 thousand views, far outstripping any other by a country mile.
Have a great Easter weekend mate 😄
@@colingarwood9971 you too Colin 👍👍👋👋
Great video Colin. I bet now that you live in Scotland you wish it was still like this. But then don't we all for all over the UK. Have a great weekend. Ben
Oh yes Ben, you bet i do ha ha .Now though we just have to accept what the train companies throw at us and i believe the first class 93 is on test in Spain so another class of loco to video.
All the best mate and have a good weekend.
You were a UA-camr before UA-cam. Well done 😎
It's been that long that I didn't even recognize a class 26 anymore !! lol great vid. never tire of watching these. thks.
Thanks a lot Brian. Hope you're well and glad you enjoyed the video 👍
@@colingarwood9971 A triple headed class 37's must be a rarity eh ! and to see a class 26 on freight .. I only remember seeing them on the push / pull between Ed. & Glas. thks
Hi Brian, the iron ore trains were worked by a pair of 37s from Hunterston to Mossend where a third 37 was added to assist with the incline round to Ravenscraig Steel Works so was a common sight here. And the Edinburgh - Queen Street push/pulls were worked by class 27s, which were really upgraded class 26s. Cheers mate 👍
@@colingarwood9971 Do I lose any Brownie points for getting this wrong then ? .. must be worth a 'E' for effort I would have thought eh ..lol do you remember we were at Newcastle station one day and single class 25 arrived with a rake of coaches it had brought all the way from Plymouth and was abt. 7 - 8 hrs. late ..? think they took it out of service and scrapped it upon arrival !!
I remember it fondly Brian
Nice video from the archive Colin
Thank you Simon 👍
