This is extremely interesting. I appreciate you taking the time to share apart of your world.
I'm glad you found it interesting, thank you!
I remember my intern days in Paris, they completely changed how I viewed this profession: a lot of hard work and not much reward. Luckily it gets so much easier and more enjoyable when you reach the level when you can work as an independent stylist
When I can’t sleep, I watch fashion styling videos lol
Same!😂
Beatrice Hannan what’s your ig?
@stylemebea 💕
Beatrice Hannan followed 🥰🥰🥰
I’ve always dreamed of being a stylist but I wouldn’t even know where to begin, all I’ve got right now is a retail job where I get to style some of my customers whenever they need help haha but i absolutely love doing it
That’s honestly a great start! I suggest learning as much as you can about dressing different body types and all the different kinds of styling there is:)
You have an awesome lovely energy. You're gonna do great.
Thank you! I appreciate it🥰
can you please do a video explaining how you got into the internship or how you got into styling?? loved the vlog boo!!
Thank you! And added to my list🤗 let me know if you have other questions and I’ll do a q&a kinda thing
I’m an inspiring fashion stylist this info has been soooo inspiring! Good luck to you 🤍
Thank you and good luck with everything!💖
Damn i want to be an e-commerce stylist but it's so hard to get into. How was your experience with SOS? Also is your internship paid or unpaid? And do they reimburse you for gas?
My experience with SOS was positive! It shows you the in's and out's of what the actual job is but I mainly took it because of Style Society which is their alumni program that sends you internships and jobs after you graduate which is how I got this internship. It wasn't paid and I wasn't reimbursed for gas :( but the stylist had some a-list celebrity clients so it was a give and take for me. You can get paid ones through SOS though! I hope this helps and good luck with breaking into this tough industry!
@@stylemebea do you have a business email I may reach out to
I just got SO tired watching your day routine! Learn what you need to learn, stay strong in your propose and evolve to a fase that work can be more healthy! Wishing you a bright road and unlimited success! XO
Thank you for your encouragement!♥️
She is stunningly beautiful.
This is my dreammm!! Thanks for sharing it’s so cool to see another perspective from this huge world😍😍
You’re welcome! Good luck with everything!💕
Thank you so much for this video! I would love to do this, right now I'm just a no-name virtual stylist.😂
I’m glad you liked it! Keep grinding you can do it!😂 but you can try to find someone to intern from/ learn all the behind the scenes stuff in you’re area!
This was really helpful and inspiring actually, I’m really glad this video was in my recommendations! I love fashion and being a stylist is my dream job, (I’m 16 so I really don’t know much) and reading the Q&As in the comments have also made me learn more about this and the steps I have to take to get there. I do have a question, after being an intern for a certain amount of time do you get promoted to a head stylist? Because that would be my goal☺️ much love 💕
Yay! I’m so glad you liked it💕 and usually after you intern for awhile and gain experience you’ll move to assistant stylist and have more responsibilities like actually reaching out to brands and showrooms etc. and after you gain experience with that you can start taking your own clients as the head stylist!
Beatrice Hannan ohh ok that makes sense, thank you 😊
No problem!
Thank you so much for this video, I am super interested in being a stylist assistant/intern. Can you provide any tips on how to get started, or where I should do research. 👏🏽👏🏽😁
I have two other videos that go into a lot more detail on what I did and best tips!
Wow what a long day! Thanks for showing people what it really takes. I love being a hairstylist. I
work mainly on photoshoots and on celebrities. I even help other
hairstylists who want to level up in there careers or work with
celebrities. @MonaeArtistry
tips for getting into the styling/fashion industry?
What about make up artist. I am a college student who do make up and I'd like to work with celebrities
@@stayzen4310 I work with makeup artists as well.
OMG just went to check out your instagram and saw ur an OSU alum! I’m a freshman there now and it’s so inspiring to see a video made by someone like me in the industry I dream about working in💕
No way that’s awesome! Good luck with everything and go bucks!♥️
I just turned 15 and I already know my future is fashion! What should I study in high school and where should I go to college?? Also your so pretty!
Aww thank you so much! That’s awesome you know what you want to do so young🤗 I’m not sure how much freedom you have in high school, but if they offer a sewing class, photoshop or anything along those lines that would be good. And as for college, go somewhere that you will also enjoy things besides fashion! I switched my major when I was in college and having options was very helpful 🙌🏽 good luck girl!💕
Thank u!!
so exhausting even just by watching still inspirational tho
Yess so tiring haha I’m glad you still found it inspirational though!
I like your music and chill attitude.
Thank you!
Loved this !
thank you so much! :)
Oooooh This is so Wow I would love to do this job 😮
It was definitely an experience!
Wow! This might sound crazy but this makes me even more excited to become a stylist😅
That’s awesome! You’ll go really far in this industry 🙌🏽
Really annoying that the talking is so low and the music is so loud.. I keep turning it up to hear what she’s saying and then the annoying music blasts the ears off me 😂😂.. very interesting vlog bar the loud music issue really enjoyed it
Can you tell me where to apply for an internship like this ?
Jayde Moore I took a stylist certification class from School of Style and they have an alumni program where they send you internships/jobs after you graduate! But you can also find similar internships from @freefashioninternships on instagram!
I’m sorry I’m sort of confused all u do is return or pick up clothes? I thought a stylist dresses up the celebrity. This is still cool omg!
The head stylist gets to do all the fun stuff! Since I’m the intern I have to do all the work that technically requires less skill but is still needed for the job. When we go to fittings I get to help set up and make sure everything is good for the head stylist to work their magic✨
Beatrice Hannan thanks amazing tbh did u go to school for this?
I took an online course from School of Style which was only a couple of months long and they helped me get this internship after I graduated! But I also have a Bachelors Degree in Fashion and Retail studies from The Ohio State University as well!
Beatrice Hannan your the best I can’t lie I watched this video and I look up to you your the best ❗️❗️❗️❗️
You’re so sweet! Thank you so much, I really appreciate it☺️💕
Hi I have been doing test shoots basically just building my portfolio but I don’t want to do creative shoots anymore I want to style for online clothing stores like Urban Outfitters Zara etc what king of stylists is that?
That’s e-commerce styling! Job search websites are are great place to find that type
@@stylemebea ok thank you
hi! i see that being a celebrity stylist is a really time consuming and stressful job. do celebrity stylists ever have time to just chill and hang out with their friends? or is it just work 24/7??
Haha yes they can be super busy! But they do have certain times of the year that are busier like award show season and times that are more relaxed too
❤❤
off topic but ur voice is really pretty :)
Thank you!
Thé music is very loud but you speak low so I had to check the sound all through the video 😑 anyway interesting content
First I love the video and second Do you have any other certificate school to go to besides SOS since they discontinued the fashion stylist program? I really wanted that school because of the internships they offered after
I’m so glad you loved it!💞 I don’t know of any other certificate classes like SOS, but on Instagram @freefashioninternships post some and I would follow as many celebrity stylists as you can on IG cause they sometimes post on their stories when they need extra help!
how do you get paid ? if you style a celebrity, are you their stylist for gorever or how does that work? do you get days off?
Celebrity styling is freelance work so you’d get paid by your client (the celebrity) directly but I was an intern so working for the experience! And the celebrity can choose how often and how long the want to work with a stylist so it doesn’t have to be forever unless they have a great relationship. Days off depend on how often the client needs clothes but as an intern I had a couple days off every week
Love this video
Love you
Love your hair ( i don't know why )
This video is so Interesting
Thank you so much!♥️♥️
I wish this was me 🥺❤️
It definitely could be!♥️
I'm foreigner 30years old
No edidance in university
Can I go to classes
And how can I make it to america?
nowadays you have so many online classes and courses you can take from anywhere in the world
How did you start and end up getting to be an intern? Just started out myself xxx.
I took a fashion stylist certification class from School of Style and they have an alumni program that sends you jobs and internships after you graduate!
I really dont like any type of hoop earings but her voice is kind of relaxing .. 1:17
Just found your channel & it’s so inspiring! Quick question: so if you’re interning for free, how do you afford to live in LA
I also style for Stitch Fix so I’m able to work from anywhere which gives me flexibility with the internship!
Beatrice Hannan thank you so much! So excited to start my career as a stylist after this quarantine....thinking about going through the School of Style route! ☺️
No problem! And good luck! That’s what I did and it’s definitely the fastest way to get into the industry🙌🏽
Hey so I was watching one of SOS's youtube videos and they said that as a styling assistant you have to pay for everything on your own card and you could have to use your card for thousands of dollars of purchases before you return everything... is this true? Bc I don't even have a credit card or any line of credit and I wouldn't be able to do that if that's what it takes to make it in the industry
Hey girl💕 I know we talked on IG but I’ll answer again in case others have the same question:) basically you’ll have time to to build all that when you start as an intern. The head stylist will put any purchases on their card and once you have enough experience to move up to assistant and then head stylist you’ll be good! And a lot of times you can borrow clothes from showrooms which doesn’t cost anything! Most of the stops I make in the video were to pick up things we were borrowing for the shoot and after it was done we had to go back and return everything
I feel tired watching you working sooo hard,,you good 😎👍
Haha it’s a lot, but thank you!!
I hope you the best but when u keep putting your finger behind your ear to move your hair is stressing me out. It’s fine but I’m just saying😂
I loved this ! Do they reimburse you for gas?
Thanks so much! :) and some stylists do but this one didn’t unfortunately
What majors do you need to be a stylist?
You don’t need one! Watch my Answering your styling questions video, it goes more in depth answering that:)
23:42 hair styled up
Thanks so much for the video. I was wondering are you in unpaid internship and is it common for internships to reimburse you for gas and mileage?
You’re welcome and thank you for watching💕 this internship was unpaid and I wasn’t reimbursed for gas but they had some a-list clients so it was a sacrifice I was willing to make but I’ve also had some that they did reimburse me so it really depends on the stylist
Beatrice Hannan thank you for answering my question. Do you have any places you recommend for finding internships in LA ?
Np! And I gave a some options to find internships at the end of my most recent video that explains more than I can in text!
How does she have the same voice as Selena Gomez?
Do u get reimbursed for gas & milelage! What are the PERKS? U get compensated in any way?
It always depends on the stylist! This one I worked under had high profile clients so my perks were experience, but others paid me a rate and reimbursed for gas and food
@@stylemebea ooh were! I hope it's WORTH IT for you! You're YOUNG. That may work out for you...a REAL INVESTMENT of TIME & ENERGY.
Your viewers 😱 whao I need to know you more 💯❤️
I appreciate you!🤗♥️
Im thinking about becoming a stylist
You should go for it!♥️
wow, thank you for sharing, do you get paid for all the gas?
Thanks for watching! For this internship I didn’t but for others I did so it really depends on the stylist!
Hi
who's the celebrity stylist u working for?
Go to my video on "Answering Your Styling Questions" and I tell you everyone I've interned for!
How did you get this internship?
I got it through School of Style but I don’t think they do it anymore:/ my first one I got on Glassdoor tho!
@@stylemebea thanks a lot
is this a paid internship or do you have a seperate job too?
This one was unpaid so I worked as a remote stitch fix stylist for income!
Ima review her hard yall , so sit tight
👍
how did you get the job?
I took the fashion stylist certification class from school of style and after I graduated, they would send job opportunities ! I don't think the school is still in business though
@@stylemebea let me know if you hear of any other sources.
I got my first one with a fashion blogger on Glassdoor!
There is 🐶🐶🐶 dogs!!!!

sany it definitely can be😅
How do you get this job?
I took a class at school of style and was able to apply to it through their alumni program
