Anakin Skywalker's story is a tragedy. From being a slave to becoming one of the greatest Jedi to the most feared Sith Lord, Darth Vader.
Anakin is one of my favorite character ever and I love his character arc.
I wanted to do a full video on him for a long time and here it is now. It wasn't easy to edit this character and I have given my best. I hope that you all will like it.

Anakin will always be the soul of Star Wars for me. Just such a tragic person.
Me too. But, he redeemed himself from return of the Jedi, just as saving his son from the emperor.
Perhaps ahsoka will give us more of him. My theory is that after he died in return of the Jedi, he became the guardian of the world between worlds. Using it to teach the past and future generations, but cursed to be unable to intervene in major events

Enough to make a grown man cry! The story of Anakin is something we should teach kids. No matter what there’s still hope, there’s still hope to be good no matter what the bad things we’ve all done.

I said 2 things during episode 4 I said he is just the way we lost him so long ago. Come episode 5 seeing Hayden act like Matt Latner and be himself was great. Watching him march into battle at the head I told my friends "that's our general the one we would follow to hell and back".

Having Hayden back in Star Wars has warmed my heart. I grew up with the prequels, grew up with him as Anakin, and to see him again, back in Star Wars is really nothing short of amazing.

As a kid I always loved Anakin Skywalker's character and was terrified of Darth Vader. Being older now, I realize that a lot of us start our lives full of hope and potential as "Anakin" but end up resentful, power hungry and doubtful like "Darth Vader"..

Hands down, Anakins story is tragic, sad,devestating,amazing,beautiful and breath taking story, truely. To me Anakin is the soul of Star Wars.
Anakin and Vader, though two different beings, both reside in one of the best written characters I have ever had the pleasure of enjoying in books, movies, and television. He plays all sides making him such a diverse and complex character. He plays the protagonist, the antagonist, the triumphant, the tragedy, the victim, and the victor. His emotions are so extreme, yet well written and justified to the point that they don't seem ridiculous or overstay their welcome. And though he isn't always the protagonist in a starwars story, the entire universe seems to lead back to him in some way, whether it be big or the tiniest hint. A character like this is so inspiring when it comes to trying to write my own characters, yet so intimidating due to how well he is written. I can only hope to one day make a story that has such a compelling and fascinating character to watch or read about.

Disney decides what is canon and what is not. Sure George Lucas the creator said Anakin was the chosen one, but pal George Lucas sold it to Disney. Disney changed that matter. Star Wars is Star Wars and it’s all canon.

This is such a reality check story. You can do everything. You could be the most kind-hearted person in the world. You being doubted by his peers. You keep losing loved ones despite how strong you are. Never got a rest from war since a young one. Homie was pushed to his limits. He's the literal embodiment of "if a child doesn't get love from his village, he'll burn it down to feel it's warmth"

This shows how beautiful and tragic Anakin story was from how it all began to how it all ended and in the end it showed he still had a good heart after all the things that happened to him.
Fun fact: Ahsoka and Obi Wan could only cut half of vader’s mask, revealing just half of anakin’s face, but Luke, Luke took off Vader’s entire helmet, revealing Anakin, representing that Luke is the one that brought Anakin back, such philosophy could only be made by George Lucas himself
It's so heartbreaking to see such a good man fell to the temptation of evil. Also, I love how this video sum up Anakin life in its own way. From the start up until the 5:00 minute, it shows Anakin being a heroic Jedi with a glimpse of dark side in him. Then from 5:00 to 8:30, it shows his life as Darth Vader, fighting his master and apprentice respectively. And the rest of the video show him as Anakin again, with the people around him love him, respect him and admire him, from his mother on Tatooine to his wife Padme to his master Obi wan, his apprentice Ahsoka, his clone friend Captain Rex and even R2-D2 as well. Even Luke, the son who never got to spend a single second with him chose to believe in the light of his heart and save him, showing his redemption in the last minute of his life.
Padme: You are going down a path I cant follow.
Obi wan: Then my friend is truly gone.
Ahsoka: Then I will avenge his death.
Luke: Then my father is truly dead.
It's so sad to see the people you love and those who love you in return deny your existence because of your choice. That's why it feels so heartwarming to see how much people around him truly care about him and still praise him after the war. It's just so good to have him back.
Now I'm sobbing at work. Completely worth it.

Palpatine was the only one who ever was willing to listen to Anakin's problems. Everyone else looked down upon him as a threat, like an outcast, not truly part of them no matter what he accomplished, constantly told of his faults with little to no praise. No wonder Palpatine had so much influence on him

My favorite character ever. A real tragedy
IDC what anyone says! One of the most if not the most tragic story ever. Part of why he's my favorite SW character.
Unreal story of this guy. With everything he experienced from child to the very last days of the Jedies, it was almost too obvious that he was going to the dark side. No real father figure, born into slavery, no trust from the council from day 1, watching his own mom die in his arms and continuosly proving everyone that he is has unlimited potential. Yet, the only one who trusted him from the beginning was Palpatine all along who in the end only had interests of his own. I could go on for weeks and months of why Anakin Skywalker has one of (if not) the best character developments in cinematic history.
Anakin Skywalker is the Chosen One. The Balance between Light and Darkness. The Good and Bad.
This was fucking tragic. Perfectly sums up his entire story. Although it would’ve been cool if you included some footage from Jedi: Fallen Order and Jedi: Survivor’s cutscenes when doing the Vader-centric portion of the video.

the original 6 movies were always good, but the shows made them so much better. Just like they said that after watching the prequels, you would feel more emotions seeing Vader in ANH, Clone Wars made me care so much. I always loved the universe George made, I wanted to go there, but Clone Wars was the first time I truly cared about Anakin. Tragic character indeed.

He just wanted to save everyone he holds dear, unfortunately Palpatine used this to his advantage and manipulated him, bringing only more anger and self hatred.. Luckily in the Ahsoka series, he found inner peace in himself, redeemed by his own son and taught Ahsoka her final lesson. And letting Ahsoka know that he will always be there to guide her..

Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader is a tragic character with each layer added to him throughout many media platforms over the years since *A New Hope* until *Ahsoka* so far. Anakin was a slave in many ways until he reached true peace/freedom through self-sacrifice for his son. And, he gave Ahsoka a reason to live from the afterlife. Brilliant tribute video.

I never understood so much hate to Hayden, to me there is not Anakin without Hayden and no Start Wars without Anakin/Vader.

From the 1900s movies to the 2000s series.. Anakin/Vader have had some of the best fight scenes to exist in the star wars franchise.
Bro is just a finesse menace with the lightsaber as Anakin and then a straight up gangster as Vader.

For me, the absence of Anakin in the sequels is the biggest reason for their failure. His story is Star Wars. His soul is Star Wars. He is Star Wars.
Episode I - VI are about him. Clone Wars is about him. Rebels, Andor and Rouge One are about the consequences of his turn to the dark side.
The New Republic could only be founded because of his children and his decision to return to the light. Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett and Ahsoka (the series) are the consequences of that decision. How could they think it was okay to only talk about him as a role model for Kylo Ren when he was Darth Vader. They spit on his legacy and character development and I will never forgive them for that.
Anakin will always be my favorite. When it was all set and done, he proved there was still good in him.

Always when i remember the phrase of the prophecy about the one who brings balance to the force I wonder what the jedi expected to happen. They where a whole order with dozen if not hundreds of jedis, and there where perhaps a hand full of sith hidden somewhere. What did they think balance would mean? Anakin brought balance to the force till only two sith and in the end two jedi remained, one master and one apprentice at max.
As for me, Anakin will always be the soul of Star Wars.
