I am rushing to try and put one of these together for this weekend. Thanks for your pioneering the the DYI. What nozzle size did you use? Also, how did you calibrate how much spray to use based on moisture and do you have some kind of psi rules to how wet the hay is that you follow?
I love how frugal this idea is! This year is so challenging in some areas with moisture! We've been really dry here, but so many not far from us are really wet! Great video, Thanknyou for sharing
I put a system on our baler last year for the same reason. I cheated and bought mine, though. lol I installed a Crop Care applicator system- it does not have any moisture sensors on it, I check the moisture around the field with a bucket tester before I bale. What it does have, is an adjustable dial to help control the rate. That makes it easier so I don't have to change nozzles to change the rate of application. The first time you do the calculation for the rate, it will be confusing. The calculation is a combination of the required amount product (based on the preservatives application label), and the amount of hay entering the baler at one given time. Here is a link to the manual for my applicator system: cropcareequipment.com/supportPdfs/pdfmanuals/LiquidApplicators/25GallonLiquidApplicator/OM0022-BA25E-S(2007-2013).pdf. It has directions in it for calibrating their system that might help you figure out yours. Hope this helps!!

Thank you for watching!
I do not always listen to your advice, but you seem like a good ole boy and i like listening to you talk
I did the same with my 4570, hardest part for me was finding the right nozzles. Where did you get that tank mine cracked on this last cutting?
Po Boy Farms it’s just off a atv sprayer I had
Great video
