Ever have issues with with lush hay getting bound up in the feed augers causing them to stall while everything else keeps running? My baler is belt driven on one side, chain on the other. I probably just need to replace the belt, it screams and burns when the issue happens.

The knotter will rotate to vertical on the stack if you help the knife arm cross the billhook forward and back, makes getting to the knives simple.
We sharpen the knives to razor sharp, even make them if they break out of high carbon recip saw blades.

Does your 1840 baler leave little tails of twine up around the knotters and the hydraulic tensioner channel ? Mine does just curious if that is normal .

@EOF, yes that is normal. There is a tail every time the knotter ties. The twine disc holds the starting end of the twine as each bale is formed, then that short piece is ejected from the twine disc after the tie cycle is complete and the twine is cut.

Always a lot of maintaining to do on baling equipment. Time consuming work, but it needs to be done.
