The only potential problems I see are: 1- it weighs too much (10 pounds is almost 1/3 -1/2 of the allowable weight) 2- solid metal (aluminum) suitcases are not flexible. Sometimes you need to ‘massage’ the carry-on luggages in order to make them fit into the overhead compartments. 3- they are a bit attention grabbing, and hence are subject to higher chances of official scrutiny or unwanted attention by thieves.

No provision for laptop storage and it weighs too much. I was just stopped in an airport in Bilbao, Spain because my carry-on was over weight. Wasn't a big deal, I pulled out the laptop and put it in my backpack. Be aware, this carry-on is 10lbs with nothing in it.

That's a really neat suitcase! I like that there is plenty of room inside and that it is also carry-on friendly!

Seems like it would be relatively weatherproof. But it didn't have any rubber gaskets so it's probably not water tight forever

Nice case, but too heavy. I bet it's good for checking in equipment? International carriers have a 7Kg limit for carry-ons.
