You also need to add that, nowadays, competing for a title challenge against Manchester City isn't just stressful, but *hopeless* as well. The second you make a mistake, you pretty much handed the title to City. Arsenal literally only lost *one* match between January and May _and that was enough for them to lose the League_
I mean, Klopp literally quit because he ran out of energy. Imagine having to do your absolute best for years and years, and you only surpass City _once_ but on top of that it's during a global pandemic so people don't even care because they have other things to deal with

I hope he does soon because the league is more boring because of it... though I wouldn't mind it if other teams were able to maintain the level. Last season gave us hope, and the Liverpool times did too. Let's face it, they could've won it, both Arsenal and Liverpool, just didn't happen for them except that one time for Liverpool. Could happen again, but even then, even the best teams will likely finish behind City. It's boring.

In conference you can afford to play your reserves for 70 % of the competition whereas in the cl you have to play your strongest team if you wish to progress

I think this numpty is forgetting Emery is a master of managing his teams in Europe and still doing well in the league, the man has either won or got knocked out in semi finals in all of his European tournaments. 4 Europa league titles, and semi finals in the conference and champions league

Arsenal not winning the league is a joke coming from a city fan because we are most likely focusing on the champions league and since all the other teams are 100% not winning it it would be the perfect time like in Man city Centurian season no else stood a chance. Besides we are most likely letting ederson go which would be a big blow and maybe Kdb and Silva. Also 7:55 um Tottenham Hotspurs in the 90's were in the same boat as Man city and climbed there way up to battle in the top 4.
he is gonna be right about villa though. having european nights is tough. man utd and newcastle got it and they're back in the europa league places, and the players man utd have are already experienced in the ucl. Newcastle's first since the 2000s and it showed they struggled in league form.

Arsenal finished 8th 8th 5th 2nd 2nd, putting up a title challenge when no one expected them to and repeated that same feat again.
Aston Villa went from 14th to 7th to 4th, a clear upwards trajectory. They also have had one season of European football under their belt, which can help them better manage midweek fixtures.
I am fully expecting Villa to come in 3rd this season.

Tbf even Chelsea were poor in 14-15. First half of the season we were alright with an extremely flattering unbeaten streak, but the second half of the season was utter garbage. The only difference between that & the 1st half of 15-16 was Hazard turned up, that's the difference he made back then lol
2013 to 2016, after Ferguson retired & before Pep & Klopp came to the league, were the worst PL years by a mile. An already pasted it Mourinho was the best manager the league had to offer & it showed, the level of the top teams has never been lower than it was in those three years.
By the way, Calafiori is not a CB. He's a fullback who can play as one. The Euros saw him at CB because Italy already has Di Marco, Di Lorenzo and Darmian in what would be Calafiori's position. In fact, Italy even managed to play all four of them, in the game against Croatia (imagine having so many Left Backs in your team that you can just play one as a winger, one as a CB and suddenly put another one as a RB. And somehow you still get through because this crazy tactic worked)
Di Lorenzo and Darmian are RB’s, Di Marco is a LB yes and Caliafori played almost all games at CB for Bologna last season despite also being competent at LB yes
