Ha! I was out on a mushroom foraging adventure with Kevin last Saturday and afterwards he said he was going to meet up with a buddy to do a catch and cook bull frog episode! So fun to see it was with you.
Look at you all name dropping like a celebrity 😅
@@outdoorloser4340 - there are only two bay area foraging celebrities and that's Taku and Kevin!
@@julialichtblau7796 At least you have celebrities in your area. I'm a poor 🤣
@@outdoorloser4340😂😂😂
Kevin who?
do i want more deliviously invasive?? yes!! i love this series. sustainable resources and cooking is why i grew to love this channel so much, so always welcoming more of it
This is my favorite series. Thanks for the great content.
This is a good series.
Just fly-fished for bullfrogs a couple of months ago when we were camping and the fishing on the river was slow. There were several open ponds with lily pads and tons of bullfrogs near our camp, so I used an insect popper and a heavier leader, which worked extremely well. Super fun and delicious! As always, thanks for sharing the great content and if you have a chance, it's worth trying for frogs with a fly rod. It's very productive and a blast!
A single Red Fly, size 8,10 is the best!! 60years experience,my favorite fun and tasty 😋!!
Did Taku just say "Bang-Bang" like Gunnerz Collective?!?! The only thing missing was for him to say, "In a menudo fashion". 🤣😂😅😆 Hilarious!
Northern thais love their frog. I was in chiang mai when the rains started. On the roads, everyone was out on scooters looking for frogs. They are everywhere. Had no idea about it but put it together as we were driving to a friends house in lampang. Needless to say, we caught dinner that night with the villagers. Such a great experience.
Awesome collaborations! Even better with all these recipes you prepared. Way to go
Having grown up frog gigging in Georgia, it is cool to see others enjoying this form of outdoor foraging. It sucks that your area is dealing with this species as invasive but its great that folks are finding a constructive way to handle them. Love the recipe!
Deliciously invasive ,the reason I started watching the outdoor chef life.
Another great video! I like Taku’s excited giggle 😊
Awesome stuff guys! Love the catch and cook! Don't stop these type of vids!
Wonderful video Dr. Kevin, 11:54, yes this info would make for a great video to keep hunters, foragers safe as they gather CA's resources.
Been waiting for an invasive episode… ❤

Don't ever stop this series. It's so good
I wasn't sure how much I'd like the frog idea, but it was actually a super fun video! Definitely would love to see a continuation of deliciously invasive! I kind of love it was such a long time since the last one too. Made me stoked the series was adding another episode!
Yesss!
Been waiting for ages for the continuation of this series.
We absolutely need more deliciously Invasive content !!!!
I love this dual and this serie! Kevin is such a down to earth and smart guy! and you are naturally good at catching anything hahahahha~ I remembered eating frog when i was little, it was delicious
I agree, frog is surprisingly really tender and has the texture of chicken, but also comes with that fishy, almost a game-like taste. Kind of hard to describe, but I think 'fishy chicken' is a pretty good summary.
I love this series so much! So cool to see you collab with Dr. Kevin!! you guys are awesome keep up the good work out there thanks so much for making such cool videos and sharing!! !
I know a guy. Older gentleman. Spear fisherman. Was having health issues. After a lot of searching turns out he had mercury poisoning because his diet was about 90% fish. Yellowtail. Halibut. White seabass. Changed it up and no more heath issues. Everything in moderation.
We were poor when I was little. I remember my Grandpa & dad going "froggin". Mom & Grandma would clean & cook. I couldn't eat them because they moved around in the pan while they were cooking 😮
As an adult, I tried some salt & pepper legs at an Asian buffet... They were DELICIOUS!!
I ate SO many😊❤
LOVE THIS SERIES!!..omg they looked delicious!.🤘🏻
Definitely!! I love every episode of yours!

Looking forward to the next one!👊
Awesome that you did something on frog legs. My first encounter with frog legs was a restaurant in Pitsburgh/Antioch and it was on the waterfront. Breaded like fried chicken, and so delicious. I think I was around 10, so back in the early 70's. It was a specialty of this restuarsnt. Thanks for the memory Taku, and yes love the invasive species thing.
Riverview Lodge?
I love this series
Try SWEET potato starch if you get a chance. We use it a lot in Taiwanese cooking. It's got a different crunch and crisps up nicely!! 🥔🥔🥔
Continue the series for sure !

Deliciously invasive is good knowledge and the fact you can go there in water or land is interesting too.
My mind is blown, I had no idea bullfrog could look so tasty. Would definitly try!! I love the fact that you do the saltwater wash and honestly I would not be opposed to like a 30 minute or an hour brine..
Also : nice Puukko knife👍always sturdy and usefull

He looks like Dwight from TWD. Great episode Chef!
