From Canada here! and WOW...Just stumbled across you today, as I just started painting with Acrylic paints last month. Yep a newbie! I went to one Art Party and I was hooked! Got my supplies for myself, Easel and all! I love it. I'm so glad I found your Videos! This one is incredible! Definitely putting this on my list to give a try, among others..... Beautiful!
Nice! Like the colors. Thinking of doing this as a Western (US) sort of painting. And a little tip about wet palette. I will put small bits of DRY sponge into it, and it will soak up moisture, most of the time. And when I use a glass one, I do the opposite and WET the little bits of sponges, cover it with a plastic lid and then a towel to keep moist. Those are both the only ways I've been able to keep paints over night. (:

It's brilliant. When you blocked in the darks I wondered what on earth you were doing and then it all became clear. I'm so scared of doing that. Coming from watercolours it scares me to "go in dark" but I see now how to do it. Thank you

watching many of your lessons and doing a few of your paintings i look at things in life closer (nature) tree's bark clouds ..and when i do a painting of yours i always end up with complete different colours......also clive you had me so confident with your lessons i tried a bob ross nooooo ha ha big fail i am jumping ahead of myself
Artist eyes are great bob Ross style is a great style but if you work in oils it's so different try some of my bib Ross style paintings in my playlists
Did this on a 12x16 canvas with longer side up . Did I do that wrong some reason looked that way during tutorial . Also left sheep and birds and snow. Love the colors where I stop. Now it looks to be on alongside on bottom . It's posted in your clive5art creative group . . Thank you loved painted this would love more please .

I love this painting and wish to try it for this year's holiday cards. May I legally do so and make copies of the work I do for my cards? I have what used to be an oil lamp but now is electrified that used to be my great grandmother's. On the two globes of the lamp are paintings of shepherds and sheep. Coincidentally, from my husband's side of the family, his aunt gave me a picture of almost the same painting of a person herding sheep. So, I am partial to this subject.
+Robert Atkinson Lol not every painting has to have farther Xmas or rudolf mine is more Xmas scene than a standard xmas factional theme I do think the sky is more Tenerife than Wales lol , but it works in this composition

you said you cansafe acrylic paint to use the next day..how do you do that as mine hardens and i waste alot of paint by throwing it out after each use
Do you use a wet pallet and cover it must dawn the paint before you put the lid on
Use a wet pallet with a lid they stay wet for weeks
