@@GarbageGus i’m surprised that they take it normally if we have that heavily contamination we leave it make the site pull it out. Our organic sites will reject the load if it’s that heavily contaminated.
@@GarbageGus they can grind up the wooden pallets after they break em up all that other crap takes too long to go through all the bags and see what is food waste and yard waste i see them do that at the MRF by me
Do they run the trucks through a truck wash every so often? I would imagine that the garbage, especially the wet garbage, is hard on the equipment after a while. Think rust and deterioration.
Unpainted pallets are allowed in organic waste? Thought that would go to the regular trash because of chemically treated wood. Dare u to take your camera after youve empited the hopper and lick it. Gulls.
Its considered contamination. The camera picks it up and they get billed for it. Believe it or not my camera has got splashed once and not really bad. It stays clean for the most part besides some dust every now and then
Nice video! I love to watch the packer pack the organic waste.
Got a new video coming dont miss it all packer shots
@@GarbageGus Okay , I won’t!

wow that was some heavily contaminated compost.
great shots!
Do you by chance know Daniel? He does residential trash
Apartments and businesses are hard to control. They get hit with contamination charges all the time.

Awesome
is it okay to have stuff bagged in there or is it all supposed to be lose?
Usually if you bag stuff it needs to be in a compostable bag.
@@RecologyChasercompostable bags are a no no here
of course no one listens
Its supposed to be bag free but some places bag it up. They have rolled out compliance program to charge businesses that contaminate
@@WMAC_Master why lol?
@@GarbageGus thats what i figured- same as how recycle is supposed to be loose but everywhere uses bags. I'm sure they have ways to get it sorted out

Our trucks get washed weekly by a outside company. Interior is kept up by drivers.

i doubt they seperate any of that probably goes right to landfill
They actually sort it if you watch other videos you can see the hopper and conveyer belt that's takes it into the sorting lines.
That was not organic waste pickup. Organic is food waste. Not yard waste, boxes, trash bags and other stuff.
Here they commingle yard waste and food waste on routes. The plastic is contamination and they get charged for it believe or not.
Yard waste is part of organic pickups. Do your research.
