I know you can adjust the angle from underneath so that there is more extension than flexion as a starting point on the cervical spine do you still recommend you have more flexion as you have with your setup in this video?
I just ordered a Saunders off of eBay slightly used with storage satchel for $149.00. I have arthritis and spurs in C2, C3, C4 and the pump up neck collar one I had helped immensely but it developed pin hole leaks in the seam……so did the replacement one the company sent me. I’m looking forward to receiving the Saunders unit.
I had an anatomical left shoulder replacement in December 2023. After 6 weeks in a sling, I thought the pain in my left cervical spine was muscular. I do have significant cervical stenosis( it wasn't bothering before my prolonged immobility.I have a ComforTrac from previous pain episodes. When my neck didn't seem to feel better after another 6 weeks of stretching and PT for my shoulder, I realized that this problem was my cervical stenosis. I pulled out my ComforTrak. After one treatment, I feel great relief. Great device.
Very helpful. My PT suggested this machine one year ago but my decades long low back problems demanded priority. I just recently finished back decompression therapy on the DRX9000. Very helpful. Now with the spread of arthritis through the bach, the spine, the joints and the neck, I'm ready for some home therapy for the neck. Your video has reinforced my decision to make this purchase. Thanks.
@@kiv220 for me DRX worked great but everybody's situation is different. I'm going to require some tune-up sessions but those sessions replace appointments at the chiropractor.
I have a Saunders hometrac. My PT used to pump me right up to 20lbs for two 5 min sets. I just tried your gradual approach for 10mins straight going up gradually and it felt much better. Thanks man.
Hello. Do you have any suggestions to use in the upright position? My husband has difficulty laying on the floor and getting up. Thank you for the great video.
There is another video on YT which a PT has now chosen this Comfortrac device to be used in her office by all of her staff, this facility used to use the Saunders but now they are switching over to the Comfortrac, maybe that speaks volumes as to the differences between the 2 brands.
Thanks for taking the time to explain in such detail. Very good video. I wish you would have gone into a little more detail on this unit compared to the Saunders though.
Used one of these for literally 1 minute at 10 lbs, then another few seconds at 15 and woke up with a severe tension headache. bought it used, but with no chiropractor. But seems simple enough to use.
Can you please describe why you like the Saunders unit more than the ComforTrac 2.0? I just received the ComforTrac unit and find it to work well, but I'm considering ordering the Saunders unit to compare both side-by-side, then return whichever one I like less. Does the Saunders contour fit your head better? I have a large-ish head, for reference.
i have carpal tunnel in both hands, i believe i have a pinched nerve in neck, causing this. i also have a reverse curve of the neck. would this help me.=?
That’s a great question. Often neck compression may be a contributing factor in a condition like carpal tunnel. The shoulder may also play a role. While I personally believe decompression using a traction unit is generally helpful I would get an orthopedic assessment with a physical therapist first.
Watching this video @ 3:30 a.m. because I can't sleep due to my neck pain! I just finished ordering this exact unit off of Amazon. I'm looking for any type of relief which may help me avoid going under the knife again & or becoming hooked on pain killers which my Dr. happily prescribes(I'd make a hardcore drug addict jealous) I could hold a garage sale with all of the devices I've purchased- from Teeter Fit Spine LX9 inversion table, Biomat, Morozko Forge Filtered ice bath, massage chair, neck hammock, contoured foam piece with protruding knobs, Kanjo pillow, stressless chair, hot tub, spinal stretch & now this Comfortrac. This will be the absolute last device I ever purchase to attempt to help me with my constant daily painful back/cervical issues. I haven't taken a pain pill in about 4 months, I've got to get some sleep in... Oh & thanks for the video & also thank you for trying to attempt to help people with pain, pain could end up being suicidal you know, of course you know, I'm sure you've heard of it happening in your line of work, so again Thank you for what you do for a living in this world.
Great video great explanation...I have the inflatable tripple pillow and it creates really good traction actually...but just like you said it puts pressure on jaw and throat and actually gies me abit of anxiety and pressure in the bridge of nose sinuses...so yeah...this is prolly my next buy. thanks
This Comfor Trac is a piece of junk. i used it maybe 10 times and now it won't ratchet up past the green level. Too late to send it back so just here to save you all some money. Buy a different brand. Comfor Trac is trash.
The device is fine but the treatment of employees who produce/assemble this is appalling with little to no job security being hired as temps who are thrown out the door for false accusations, told phones are not to be used on the job while certain ones get away with it constantly and others are fired, little to no rotation of work tasks which causes extreme boredom and issues such as carpal tunnel problems, regular favoritism of certain people - even purchasing a new bike for one and letting him come and go and not show up a couple of days a week - perceiving him as handicapped when he shows no signs of being so and works fine which just spoils such people.
I'm so sorry you were so mistreated at your work place. I hope you find better employment, fairness and equality else where. Don't let this experience bring you down, it is their loss, not yours. Best of luck for a new future... Regards from Austria 🇦🇹
This product has no sense. The angle should be zero. Should pull at 0 degrees. As people lean forward they already have the back muscle already toooo stretched. Why to make it worse. Can someone explain me the reasoning behind this device?
The incline puts the neck up at an angle that has a better stretch, I beeleive this one has different angles. I would imagine you can lay this unit flat as well, but the incline will create a better stretch and more gap between vertebrae. Think about it. Just tuck your chin down to your chest. You can feel the stretch in the back of the neck.

Is that traction device, similar to the DRX9000?

At the chiropractor they put me on a professional neck traction at 25lbs. Will this achieve the same traction?
That's to high. Maybe 25 to 20 pounds at most. And that hanging thing is bs.
Used one of these for literally 1 minute at 10 lbs, then another few seconds at 15 and woke up with a severe tension headache. bought it used, but with no chiropractor. But seems simple enough to use.
I'm going to get this. After landing on my head from cycling accident, my neck had compression and is now stuck.
shouldn't you be laying completely flat as opposed to having your head at angle?
Great question. There are other traction units that provide more of an extension bias. This is for people who do better with a flexion bias.
Thanks for feedback! I just ordered one and I’m expecting it to arrive today👍🏼
How do I fix the gasket? Mine won't hold the air right 😭😭😭😭😭
Did you contact the company? They are really great with custom support.
I will try to get a video recorded and uploaded on this.
Great video. Very well said and nice demonstration. Thank you.
Thank you!
I have tried both. The Saunders is much better in my opinion. Better quality and more comfortable. Same price if you shop around.
The prices have normalized across the two. It used to cost twice as much for the Saunders unit.

This device has 3 settings. May I know which angle did you select?
Yes that's my question also -it has three angles and angles make a huge difference when pulling.
20 is usually thd best. But some people have better relief at 30 incline.
Really great video. Thank you

Carlos Perez this particular brand is the one I use in the clinic. It has held up for years.
Excellent work!

For 350. It's worth it if it works. The Saunders is the best. Every injury is different. But you need a doctor to recommend. Chiropractic is meh.
