    I know antispin rubbers are a messy play style to deal with for me. No matter how well you execute your strokes or practice your tactics in a game, it is always a challenge. There were some points that even Luka didn't know how to properly attack with that paddle. I know some of you will disagree but I really think most antispin rubber players rely more on the fact of leaving the opponent to make mistakes than on developing the game.

      @nazarsolodkyi9778 Рік тому +1

      well noticed, and the problem is not even that they do not rely on their skill, but on the inability of the enemy, but in the fact that they make a bunch of simple mistakes due to a very unstable rubber

      @@OEMM71 anti spin rubber is a stable rubber. the problem is that some professional players do not play antispin. See how many faults after the first return after a top spin. It is part of an antispin player to force player to do mistakes with their antispin rubber.

    • @nulldemokratiezwei7773
      @nulldemokratiezwei7773 Рік тому

      The opposite. His rubber is absolutely frictionless, which reverses the spin of his opponent. So when Uda plays a heavy topspin and Luka blocks it, the topspin becomes heavy underspin. In fact so heavy that Uda, who is not an amateur and knows about all this, still played many balls into the net. One example is at 8:02.

      @@nulldemokratiezwei7773 now when I think abt it actually anti doesnt reverse the spin but just bounces and maintains the same rotation direction
      maybe even adding some more rpm to that ball cause it seems to me speed of topspin shot greatly reduced after anti rubber bounce meaning one thing slower ball has higher rpm (considering energy loss due to bounce close to zero of course)
      thats why YU had so much trouble
      couldnt believe there was even more spin than his own shot ;o

    In ping pong you can even avoid that "horrible" spin (please google the differences between table tennis and ping pong). Not a paradise?) Being serious, I will add that all these pips annoy but close to the master's level you will understand the beauty of facing the incredibly complicated balls with various spin changes. And moreover you will feel the importance of intelligence, of analytical preparation at home to beat all these pips, understanding the right tactics (really, the combination of tactics).

      I was also surprised as Japan has plenty of players with weird rubbers (twiddling penholders with long pips on one side).. It is like a test for the top players, to see who really has their shit together. But Luka also beat Liang Yanning, Simon Gauzy, lost narrowly to Francisca, Falck, etc. So I think it's in fact the other way round - it's Luka who's really improved and found the right mix of defence and attack, anti & inverted, to make life hard for many.
