The most intense show I've ever been to. I was on the floor for the first 30 minutes and it was completely insane. Go see these guys if you ever get the chance. Hard to describe the feeling of MC Ride screaming directly at your face, but it's like nothing you'll ever experience.
as i keep reviewing the footage of come up and get me, i'm convinced that when he says, "come up and get me n***a" he is talking to the guy that was grabbing his leg.
Watching footage of crowds at death grips concerts get so hyped makes me so fucking happy. Like how enthusiastically people chanted together at the beginning of "Giving bad people good ideas". Just a crowd of people having a great time enjoying others' music. There's something really wholesome and like... soulful, idk. That happiness kinda gives me hope for humanity, which is weird, seeing as how the band this comes from is overtly kinda nihilistic and shit.
I love Ride, but the poor guy seems exhausted for the entire performance. He’s in his early 40s and has been doing this extremely difficult rapping style since 2011 at least. Poor guy needs a break.
@@PalmoIiveTV that was just the music that plays before their life performances, they’ve been using it for 2015. The last time they released new material was YOTS in June 2018.
Before I saw them live in Rock City, Nottingham I knew Get Got/ No Love/ Guillotine and didn’t understand the appeal. Even in the queue, I was unsure. My friend had convinced me to go with a “you will not regret this” energy. This right here was the setlist they performed. The second Lost Boys started the entire room became an apocalyptic tornado of flailing limbs, sacrificed drinks and bass fuelled madness. Having loved metal for many many years, I can safely say that their entire show was one of the most intense, heavy, prolific, life changing and style blending performances I had ever seen. It easily was the best show I have ever been to and I couldn’t believe the energy I felt. We all lost our minds. It was like swimming. People literally had to climb out of the pit to the edges of the room to regain their breath and inhale hard. I watched Get Got happen, panting profusely and stared in amazement at what was happening. After I regained composure I jumped back in. Towards the end almost everyone was shirtless, sweaty and deranged by the tribal power of this trio. During “you know he loves you” , when the drop happened, I let the wavy current of the mosh pit stand me up and it felt like I was flying, no exaggeration! Best fucking gig ever. If you get a chance to see them, find the money and do it.
I saw them at that show! I was thinking the setlist looked the same. It was incredible, I remember dripping with sweat at the end. I enjoyed it sooo much though, been desperate to see them again since, crazy experience. hoping to see them at outbreak fest in Manchester later this year
It's pretty low, but you can hear it. The dude slapped his feet and Ride took it off, dude gives him the middle finger. Ride snitchs and the dude acts like he did nothing. Security isnt sure of what to do. Andy hears the "He's grabbing my leg" and seconds later tells the security to go kick the dude out.
Yeah I thought Ride's voice wouldn't be the same Even the most talented singers don't sound the same when performing live even if it sounds good But he actually sounds very similar, he just seem kinda exhausted here. I wish he's ok
Damn, the drums are really really clear on this recording (usually they seem to more or less complement the backing tracks in live recordings, just bc they’re so loud), I can actually hear nearly everything Zach is doing. Maybe it’s bc this was recorded far enough away from the speakers? Either way, really dope shit, love hearing how Zach performs some of these live, when I saw them opening for Ministry, they fuckin’ ripped

The security guards on each side of the stage, standing like statues - Gives such an intimidating cultish effect that's perfect for death grips hahaha - like they're the bands personal secret service force
How is the mixing from someone who went to their concert? They use to have really high volume track and low volume drums/vocals, and know the vocals seem super loud.

From what i've seen, in their early days they used to just practice as they were playing shows. A lot of concerts from 2011-2013 have super loud background tracks, and as they got better they mixed in their Live elements louder and turned down vocal tracks a lot.
First time I saw them at the Mohawk it was so packed that I couldn't get a view of the stage even from above the crowd, so I just ended up sitting on the edge of the building watching people walk the streets below, just listening to them play lol
